Story
**ADOPTION FEE ~FULLY~ SPONSOREDMr. Belvedere is a handsome young lab mix with a sparkling personality. If you like labs, you will LOVE Mr. B! Mr. Belvedere and his littermates were found at around four weeks of age. Thankfully, fosters bottle fed and cared for them until they were big enough to come back to the shelter. Now, it's just Mr. Belvedere and one littermate, Pugly, left over. They don't understand why their littermates all got to home but they're still stuck here, spending their entire puppyhood inside a kennel. Sure, they get to make friends and have lots of people who give them affection all day long, but it's just not the same as having a home and family of their own. Having just celebrated his first birthday -- and having spent over 11 months at FFAA -- Mr. Belvedere wants desperately to find freedom and a family of his own. Mr. Belvedere has adopted a policy of "holler first, investigate second"-- his big, booming "awoowoowooooo" seems ridiculous coming from a dog his size, and even more ridiculous is how once he's in touching distance of whatever he is yelling at, he quiets up immediately. Having grown up in a shelter, Mr. Belvedere is chronically bored. He loves his walks (his best opportunity to go stick hunting), and he is having a great time making new friends during playgroup. But he's a smart boy who knows that the world is a lot bigger than what he can see in front of him at the shelter. All his littermates but one (Pugly) have gone on to find wonderful homes with other dogs, cats, and children in their lives. All Mr. B needs is one chance to show you how good of a best friend he can be.

Story
Blueberry is one of our five Pie-themed puppies. Brought here with their mama Peach in an ultimate act of sacrificial love, these pups were first abandoned before their eyes opened. Their amazing mom put their own health and wellbeing before her own. So by the time they were discovered by their savior, she was almost skeletal. Despite their Good Samaritan being in the midst of her own medical emergency, she made sure to prioritize these dogs' health, getting them back to a health weight and getting them veterinary care and on the medications they needed. Their care was a community effort, many people coming together to make sure they were fed, loved, and started in potty training! Hearing about this tremendous effort, we were proud to take over! These puppies are truly the sweetest, as is their mom, and now everyone is well and of age to find their new home! These pups are social and sweet, even recently attending a community member's birthday celebration as participants in a "Puppy Yoga" event where they got to make so many new friends and have quite a few photo ops! Blueberry is on the smaller side compared to his littermates. This cutie is definitely a tender soul - his eyes speak it all. He longs to clamber into someone safe's lap and just rest there. His temperament is similar to his mama's - sensitive, kind, and looking for connection.

This boy is composed and affectionate - as you can tell from his event photos, he took full advantage of having so many puppy-lovers in one space to seek out laptime.

Story
Nami is a beautiful, young lab mix who has been in our shelter for over 100 days now. This girl is SO smart and would absolutely thrive in an active home with someone who enjoys training or going on adventures outdoors. Nami already knows sit, down, and shake, and she walks well on a leash too! She is still very young and has a lot of energy so her ideal person should be patient and understanding and willing to work with her while she adjusts to life outside of the shelter. She is so so sweet and very kennel stressed in our facility, we would love to see her get out of here asap! Nami is sponsored, adoption fee is only $25!Nami has been patiently waiting for her forever family since July, and despite her sweet nature, no one has shown interest in her yet. This 2-year-old beauty was brought in by animal control after being found as a stray, and the shelter environment has been hard on her. She weighs about 40 pounds, the perfect medium size for snuggling, walks, and adventures! She adores people and is always ready to greet you with a wagging tail. She’s dog-friendly, indifferent to cats, and takes treats from your hand with the sweetest, softest touch.Nami deserves a life where she can truly shine, so if you’re ready to welcome an amazing companion into your home, please fill out an adoption application using the link below or come meet her in person during our open hours! She’s here, waiting for her second chance at happiness… could that be with you?Adoption Application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbRHljwkHKaRSHgBuiT-m-SEsXLGHNRcfimGECvqxBeBSplQ/viewform

Story
Markus' estimated DOB is 05/15/2019 and he's a black Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix. He was found in Mark Twain National Forest. He was terrified and didn't understand where he was - a few different families had been rotating feeding him for days until someone decided to see if he'd hop into their truck. Markus instantly knew to load up, and the rest is history! Markus has the potential to make a really great pet for just the right home. He has some barrier-aggression tendencies in the shelter environment, but a family took a chance on him and brought him home. While he was with that family, we learned that Markus bonds very strongly with his one person (he definitely prefers women) and he is very protective of that person, acting not-so-nice to everyone else. The perks of Markus are that he's already potty trained, walks great on a leash, loves car rides, doesn't make messes and is great at keeping himself busy as long as he has a toy. He loves to be involved with what you are doing and especially loves to play ball & will even bring it back! Markus's ideal forever home just needs to be someone who can be a good, strong leader for him. We at the Haven know that this sweet boy is worth it! All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647.

Story
Big Bear's DOB is 12/14/2015 and he's a tan Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Mix. Big Bear is a GORGEOUS dog, and 100 pounds of pure love. He's friendly and walks very nicely on a leash. He loves chew toys and is treat-motivated. He already knows sit and shake! Bear is looking for a home without other dogs, but don't worry too much about his size-- he's never been reactive on walks! He also would like only kids who are teen-aged and up since he's not comfortable with the noise and activity level of small children. He's blind in one eye, but that doesn't bother him a bit! It can be a little easy to sneak up on him, so make sure to talk to him if you approach from his blind side. Come meet Big Bear at the Haven to see if he's your new best friend! His estimated DOB is 12/14/15. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week.
