Story
Dani is a 7yr old Silver Labrador Retriever. I have had her since she was 2 yrs old. She is such a great, well mannered, cuddly, loving, sweet girl. She LOVES to be outdoors running around and getting daily exercise. She has been around horses, chickens, cats, pigs, goats, other dogs, and more. She does great with all these animals and will listen to you when called. The only thing I will say, she can be pretty dominant towards other female dogs. She is truly the most loyal lab. She listens great off leash, and will follow you anywhere. I have had lots of people say she is such a good girl and "my little shadow". Another thing to be aware of is she is not great with babies/toddlers bothering her. She has only had one incident in the house where she growled/warned our toddler to back off and leave her alone. Dani also loves to swim, play fetch, and go for walks. We're hoping to find her a home where she can live the rest of her years happy & getting plenty of outside air that she loves.

Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 4 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her previous foster family had shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love!   Luna's biggest obstacle is that she is dog reactive, so she needs to be the only pet in a home with a fenced yard.   Luna is currently in boarding and working on training, but really needs a home to call her very own.   More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Luna can be anxious around younger kids.  So a home with kids 12+ is needed for this girl.  Luna is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. Story
We have another Poppy—and we hope she is just as popular as the Poppy we posted earlier this week. This Poppy is about one year old and is a 50 lbs pittie mix.   She is an active playful girl who would do best in a  home with a fenced yard  or a very active family who will take her running or hiking regularly.    She could also do well on a farm where she has a job and something to keep her busy.   She loves to explore! Poppy is completely housebroke and goes right in her kennel when given the command.   She loves to chew on bones!  She does well with other dogs. She loves to go on walks, but can still pull a bit on leash. Poppy needs a family who is experienced with dogs and will commit to socializing her safely.   She can bark and lunge when meeting new people on leash.   In the home, she also barks and is not a fan of guests, but if given time and space warms up.   The key is just having the guest ignore her and let Poppy decide  who and when (or if) she wants to interact.  Treats help a lot. She will often come up and sniff the new person She is working on muzzle training, which will help her family to have more socialization for her in a healthy and positive way.   She does seem to prefer women over men.  She has not been around kids or cats. If you are an experienced dog owner/handler and have the time to help Poppy overcome some of her fear of strangers, we would love to talk to you.   She is a great dog with so much love to give.If you’re interested in adoption, please private message us or APPLY HERE if you haven’t yet: https://newleashdogrescue.com ##2050554##

Story
Meet Zuzu – Your Fun-Loving Fetch Champion!Zuzu is a sweet, energetic, and playful 5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who is ready to bring endless joy to her future family! She recently transferred to us from another shelter and has been winning hearts ever since. True to her Lab nature, Zuzu is a fan of toys—especially tennis balls! She absolutely loves playing fetch and will happily chase after the ball again and again.Zuzu is a social butterfly who enjoys spending time with people. She has a goofy, happy-go-lucky personality and thrives on interaction and playtime. While her history with kids, cats, and other dogs is unknown, she has shown good play manners with at least one other dog, so a slow introduction to new friends is recommended. Due to her excitement during play, she may do best in a home with older kids who can match her enthusiasm. She has recently been spayed and had some dental work done, so she’s all set for her next adventure! If you’re looking for an active and affectionate companion who will keep you entertained with her fun-loving antics, Zuzu might just be your perfect match.Come meet Zuzu and see if she’s the missing piece in your family.Adoption fee $350 plus $30 microchip fee plus tax

Story
We got Leeli as a puppy. She is a gorgeous girl who loves people, eating, and running around. She is excellent with children, she has coexisted with our cat but will try to play with her (our cat is not amused). A cat with a friendly personality will probably do fine. She has gotten along great with our male golden. She does like to assert dominance with other dogs so she's gotten in a few spats along those lines but dogs usually get that worked out and then they're fine. She has a lot of energy. She really needs a home with a large yard or to go on regular walks. She would love a home with children. She has been raised with our 8 children. We are rehoming her because we are moving to a smaller house and we really only have space for one golden. We like to travel and it's much easier with only one golden. She also loves playing tug and catch. Her birthday is 3/26/21
