Story
Age: 1 Gender: female Breed: black lab Location: northfield mn Fee: $75 Vetting: she is fixed and up to date on shots Ideal home: no cats probably as she tries to play with them like they're dogs, maybe another dog and she does well with preteen/older kids I am trying to rehome her as soon as possible. She has a lot of energy as she is a puppy so someone who has the time or a medium/big fenced backyard would be good. She's sweet and she listens fairly well, I've taught her some stuff She comes with the rest of her food or more depending on when she is rehomed, as well some toys and a few collars and leash and harness.

Story
If you are looking to add some fun and love to your life look no further than our man Rolo!Rolo is between 1-2 years old. He was found as a stray after hanging around some cornfields for a few days. Since joining our rescue, he has been a total joy! He loves all other dogs-big & small. He is very respectful if they don`t want to play but more than happy to have a good wrestling session with anyone willing! He has been good with the resident cats. He is very sweet to kids. He absolutely loves the 11 year old boy in his foster home.Rolo is fantastic in his crate and wonderful in the house. He always tries his best to do right!Rolo is still a young guy. He will need a home that will keep him active. He loves running with his foster dad and would be a fantastic training buddy.Rolo has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $450.00 plus sales tax. Rolo will fit into many types of homes-maybe yours is the one! Story
Ladies and Gentlemen - Domino "Never have to worry about what is worst or what is best" Oh oh Domino Domino was found as a stray and never claimed. He was born in March of 2022 - we think :) He is an 80 lb Lab mixed with an energetic goofball. He should be fine with older kids and adults. He isn't overly fond of the other dogs here, so he might do better as a single dog until he gets used to being in a home setting again. Domino also should be in a cat free home. Domino has a big personality and loves attention, he keeps a clean kennel here, so the transition to home should be easier. Domino really wants a home and a family. Will you come and make his dreams come true? All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sonya came to the shelter from the city pound when her hold was finished and no one had claimed her. She appears to be around a year old and looks like a black lab/pit bull type mix. There could be some other breeds in there, too. She's very loving and full of enthusiasm. She has been vet checked and spayed and her fee is $150. Sonya does know how to sit (most of the time) but will most likely need some basic training. She is a very energetic young dog who will require regular exercise. We do think she would do best as the only pet in the home, at least until she gets some good training and socialization under her belt. She will need some time to decompress from the shelter environment as it has been causing her a lot of stress. An adult only home would be best (teens are fine). NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Please keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2024, 10:38 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tula arrived at our shelter from the city pound on Dec. 1st when her hold time was finished and no one had claimed her. She's a large and robust black lab mix who is as happy and affectionate as she is big. She's 1 to 2 years old and weighs about 75 pounds. She has been vet checked and microchipped and her fee is $150. Tula loves people and will definitely need some basic obedience training and good exercise. She looks like a black lab mixed with some type of larger breed like Great Dane or maybe mastiff. What she might lack in training she makes up for with her happy and loving personality. We think she would do okay with a larger male dog. Cats? We have no way of knowing. Kids over 5 would be best as she's a big gal. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org.
