Story
Hi! I'm Cope! I'm from Arkansas. From his foster: Cope (aka Cooper) is a sweet, shy, and sensitive dog who loves play time with other dogs and spending time outside. In the house, he is low key and quiet and he follows me around all day (a true Velcro dog). His true joy shines through when he’s outdoors—running, sniffing, and exploring. He’s a playful and carefree spirit when surrounded by nature. Cope is a friendly dog who gets along well with other dogs and cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household. He can be wary of some men but tends to bond well with women. Due to his sensitive nature, he does best in a calm, low-stress environment, as too much noise or activity can make him nervous. Cope would thrive in a home with another friendly dog and someone who enjoys outdoor activities. With patience, love, and consistency, Copewill continue to grow more confident and come out of his shell, making him a truly rewarding companion. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle dog who enjoys both peaceful moments indoors and adventure outside, Cope may just be your perfect match!

Hi! My name is Snoopy and I'm from Texas! Hi! I'm Snoopy, although my foster mom doesn't think I look like a Snoopy, so she calls me Finn or Finnegan, because it tend to get halfway out the door & then want to come back in...so she calls me In again, out again, Finnegan! I came to Minnesota from Texas where I'd been running around with my girlfriend and her puppies...my whole family got a ride up here with a bunch of other pups. It was a bit of a scary time and they separated me from the rest of my family. When foster mom first picked me up, I didn't know what to think. I tended to scurry away if she tried to pet me that first day. But after she gave me plenty of food and a treat or two, I decided she was probably safe. And I let her give me some pets! And that was awesome! And now I follow her around wherever she goes, and she lets me cuddle on the sofa while she watches TV and sleep on the end of her bed! I like Minnesota! I like to spend some time outside sniffing the yard perimeter and tossing my toys around in the yard. I have a foster brother that I like to do zoomies & play with sometimes. But my most favorite thing is to get pets from my humans. I've even been known to give them a kiss or two to say thanks! Well, pets may actually be my second most favorite thing...my favorite thing is food! I will happily chow down on anything you leave around. My foster mom keeps telling me things on the counter are NOT for me! She's gotten much better at moving things to the back of the counter, which disappoints me. She says to tell you that other than food I am VERY good at not chewing on anything I shouldn't. I just can't resist the lure of some yummy food! Foster mom makes me stay in this thing she calls a crate when she leaves so she's sure I can't get at any food. But she gives me a treat, so I don't mind going it at all. And she says to tell you I stay pretty quiet in there. I even go in sometimes on my own to just chill! So I'd love to have you come meet me! I might be a little shy at first, but if you can be patient for a couple days, I'm willing to bet I learn to trust you & be your snuggle bunny! I'm a very good boy (as long as there isn't food on the counter)!

Hi! My name is Stella and I am from Arkansas. Stella is a beautiful 70ish lb black lab whose favorite hobbies include napping, wagging her tail, and chewing on squeaky toys. She loves meeting new people, she is so excited to show them her toys and to get pets from them. She isn't very fond of other dogs in our experience, so we would definitely recommend slow intros with controlled introductions (walks, through baby gates, etc) and a watchful eye to start. Stella needs to only be with older considerate children, she does not appreciate little ones who want to hug and be in her space all the time. She has not been tested with kitties, but we think she would do best in a cat free home. Stella has been on a weight management diet and she is doing great! Stella free roams in our house when we are gone, and we have had no issues! We fell in love with her instantly, and she loved us instantly too! We describe her to our friends as "the perfect dog", she is a great addition and is happy to just be near her people. If you are looking for a chill, SUPER happy, cuddly dog then Stella is the one for you!

Story
Hi, my name is Brooke, I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Brooke is the sweetest and most mellow dog. She is house trained, doesn't go on furniture, jump up on people, and sleeps through the night in her crate. She loves getting her belly rubbed, curling up in a sunny spot, and would sit outside all day if you let her. Medical Bio: I arrived at The Bond Between after previously being hit by a car. I will need 2 orthopedic surgeries (FHO) which will require strict rest and at home physical therapy by my foster/adopter. I will also need to be spayed which will hopefully occur during my second FHO surgery. I also arrived with mammary mass that was surgically removed. The biopsy results came back as non-cancerous which is great news. My future adopter should monitor for any new mass development with a primary vet. I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during orthopedic surgery and heartworm treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of these at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.

Hi, my name is Kawasaki, I am from Alabama. From the foster: Kaswaski is growing up to be a goofy, fun dog! She loves to play, cuddle and runs around seeing where the best action is. She loves to have fun and play, smells everything outside (she has a great nose for critters) and cuddles up to go for a snooze before her next adventure. She's been working on potty training outside and learning basic commands (sit/leave it). She has been exposed to young kids and other dogs (as well as our backyard chickens - which she is very interested in!), she hasn't been exposed to cats but I think she'd do well if introduced early enough to them. She is not crate trained as we have all 5 puppies we're keeping together at night, they go into their pen without much fuss and are all sleeping through the night. She's going to do best in an active dog and would love a home to go explore nature.

Story
Hi! My name is Panda and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: ABOUT PANDA: Panda is a sweet senior girl who has had a tough journey, but she’s ready for a fresh start in a loving home. After her owner passed away, she found herself in an Arkansas shelter, where she was lucky to be pulled out by The Bond Between. Now she’s adjusting to her new life in Minnesota. Panda is the type of dog who acts much younger than her age. She seems to be in really good health, plays energetically with other dogs and can jump in and out of a car with ease. Despite her recent upheaval, Panda still has a playful spirit. She’s been very friendly with all humans and dogs that she has met, both on and off leash. It turns out that she’s quite a social butterfly and has enjoyed getting together for play groups with the local neighborhood dogs (of all ages and genders). Panda really enjoys walks, though we have had limited opportunity with the weather to do much lately. She is a bit nervous on the leash but does not bark or pull at all. You can tell she is just taking in her new environment, being a brave girl, and slowly gaining more confidence with each step. She’s looking for a patient family who can help her navigate these new changes, one gentle step at a time. Panda is really easy to have in the house. She’s fully house trained and respects boundaries well. She does not need to be crated at night and happily sleeps all night at the base of her foster’s bed. Panda is generally pretty low energy in the house and will happily entertain herself with her plushie toys. So far she has been incredibly quiet, but this may change over time as she decompresses and feels more comfortable in her new home. She has not been tested with cats, but we can arrange to do that if requested. Panda may take a little time to adjust to new environments, but once she feels safe, she’ll be your loyal companion through thick and thin. She deserves to feel loved and cherished after all she’s been through. WHAT PANDA NEEDS: • A patient, understanding family or individual who can help her settle in and feel safe in her new life in Minnesota. • A dog-friendly home, ideally with a playful canine companion who can help her gain confidence. If there is no other dog in the home, she would really thrive if given the opportunity to have frequent playtime with other dogs. • A cozy spot to relax and lots of love and care. READY TO MEET PANDA? Panda may be a little shy at first, but once she settles in, she will reward you with unconditional love and companionship. If you’re looking for a gentle, playful senior dog to add to your family, Panda might just be the perfect match.
