Blossom is a petite girl with a spunky attitude, who loves to be in the middle of the action. She is pretty nimble for a 6 month old puppy and will chart a path to whatever treat she is after. She loves to give sweet kisses and will, with the slightest encouragement, plop her head on your lap for some ear and head scratches while she gazes up at you. Blossom’s sweet, playful nature helps her get along with every dog she meets. When she’s feeling extra cute, she will pull out her signature diving plop and roll. In new situations, Blossom tends to be timid but with a little coaxing (aka treats) she quickly gains confidence and gets her spunk back. If you have any chew toys lying around, you can be sure that Blossom will make sure they are well-loved. Santa Paws (Chief) is a sweet, happy, playful 10 month old lab mix. He was somehow adopted by an older couple looking for a "plug and play" addition to the family. But like any normal puppy, he needs a little training. He is good on housetraining, but he likes to jump up on people and the owner didn't want her clothes getting dirty. Yes we get dogs surrendered and abandoned for all kinds of reasons that make us scratch our heads. Santa Paws is currently with a trainer that will help with that so this sweet boy can be on good behavior for his new family. He is neutered, HW negative and UTD on all required vaccines. Santa paws has a significant scar across his face that was from some sort of puppy injury. We just want this sweet pup to have a safe, loving home where he will be cherished. Jalapeno is one cuddly boy. He is such a sweet and timid boy. He is learning to walk on a leash and basic commands. He loves people more than anything else. He is great with all animals and people. This girl was found dumped by a house and unfortunately the lady could not keep her. Fawn is a people person!! She loves to be loved and wants nothing more than to be with someone. She does get along with other dogs although she prefers to have a person all to herself. She will need all of the basic puppy training along with learning the leash. She has not been around cats so might need to learn those manners also. She is just ready for her own home and we know that there's one out there for her. Shirley is one fuzzy chunky puppy. She and her siblings were born to a homeless dog who sheltered under a deck to have and care for her puppies. A Good Samaritan started feeding her and made arrangements for her and her little family to come into the PUP rescue program. While mommy (pictured) was certainly on the slim side, puppies were not. They arrived fat and happy. They have been in their PUP foster home for two weeks and have been getting lots of socializing and loving. Born September 20, on November 15 they will be 8 weeks old and ready for their forever homes. We believe Shirley will be in the large breed category when she is full grown. Mommy weighs about 60# now and she could still stand to gain a pound or two. We did DNA testing on Shirley and WOW. In summary Shirley is a German Shepherd Chihuahua. She is 31% German Shepherd and the other 69% is divided among Australian Cattle Dog, Shetland Sheepdog, White Swiss Shepherd, Chinook, American Pitbull, Rottweiler, American Stafordshire Terrier, Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Akita, Samoyed, Labrador Retriever, German Shorthaired Pointer, English Spring Spaniel, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Catahoula Leopard Dog and 2% Saint Bernard. AKA mixed breed. Shirley is well fed, happy and health. She is using newspapers in the house. She is occasionally going outside to play and she does get her business done when she is outside, but she has not really begun work on house breaking beyond using newspapers. Puppy loves her outdoor time playing with the other resident pup and foster pups. The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Shirley has been vet checked, vaccinated and de-wormed. She will need a rabies vaccination at the adopter’s expense in January. We do place puppies outside the metro area if a firm plan for the neuter is in place; we do not ship. Her required alter surgery is covered by the adoption fee if it is done at 6 months at the PUP clinic. We require that she be altered at 6 months. Meet Blitz! This 9 month-old Labrador mix is an ultimate goofball and lover looking for his forever family! They are high energy puppies and are very loving. They want to play with everything... goats, cows, people, other dogs and cats (so dog savvy cats would be best). She is shy at first but will open up in no time. She is potty trained and working on kennel training and leash walking. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally!
