Story
Hi there. We had purchased Tallulah as a pup, my kids had researched and decided she would be a good fit for our family as we had previously had two labs and very good experiences with them. It was 2020, and Covid was just about to hit. She is a silver lab. I have sent her to formal training twice and have participated both times. However, when I am away, if she is not kenneled, she is destructive - scratching furniture, cabinetry, shoes, books. If I am around, there is no problem. The problem is, my kids have gone away to college and my mother had a stroke. She lives four hours away and I am trying to see her and help out twice a month. I believe she is a good dog. She loves to run and hike. She loves other dogs (although I have noted she is definitely “alpha” when around them, and children. She has never had aggressive behaviors. I just really cannot have the stress of her destructive behavior when I need to care for my mom. Thank you for considering.
