Meet Lucy, the ultimate adventure companion! This vibrant, high-energy girl is on the lookout for an equally active family to share her boundless zest for life. Lucy’s motto? GO, GO, GO! From sunup to sundown, she’s ready to play, explore, and keep you entertained with her goofy antics and infectious enthusiasm.
Lucy thrives in an environment where she can channel her energy into fun activities, whether it's playing fetch until she’s happily tuckered out, tackling puzzle feeders, or savoring layered frozen treats. She’s incredibly playful and would love a canine friend who can match her energy and enjoy a spirited game of rough-and-tumble. Her ideal human is someone who loves the outdoors and has a knack for creative ways to keep her mind and body engaged.
While Lucy is working on her impulse control and calming skills, she’s already making great progress. She’s food-motivated and eager to learn, so with consistent training and positive reinforcement, she’ll absolutely shine. She’s already mastered crate training, sleeps soundly through the night, and has never had an accident in the house—a true testament to her potential.
Lucy does have a strong prey drive and loves to chase squirrels, so leash walking is still a work in progress. She’ll need an active family committed to daily exercise, outdoor playtime, and helping her refine her leash manners. She would do best in a home with older kids or no children, as her enthusiasm can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for the little ones. A canine buddy her size or larger would be a bonus, but she can also thrive as the star of the show.
Lucy’s bright gold eyes light up when she’s playing, chewing on her favorite bones, or snuggling with her people after a full day of fun. She’s goofy, smart, and incredibly loving with both dogs and humans. With her playful nature and love for treats, the sky’s the limit when it comes to training her into the best version of herself.

All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
