Story
Everyone, meet Barry!Barry is the new big man on the block and he`d like for you to come say hello! Barry is a black labrador mix approximately 9 years of age and weighs in around 90 pounds. He is definitely full grown and even though he is a bit older, he will enjoy lots of long walks. He knows how to sit and shake and I`ll bet that with just the right kind of treats, you can teach him even more new tricks!Barry came to us as a stray but has not been taken care of the best before he came to us. He has a bit of scarring around his neck from either a collar that was too tight, or being tied out on a rope way too long. He LOVES to get scratches and pets and will rub his head into yours to show you home much he loves you.Barry is not fixed just yet so he has a tendency to be a bit jumpy on the other dogs but that should subside slowly after his surgery appointment. Until that time, Barry will be available to foster to adopt. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED.

Story
Age: 5 years Weight: 60lbs Good with dogs? No Good with cats? No Good with kids? Older Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Daisy! Daisy was adopted from us two years ago and just recently returned. When Daisy first came to us she needed an FHO surgery and was barely getting around. She had her surgery and did great with recovery! Unfortunately she is now back with us and has gained quite a bit of weight, which is hard on her hips. We are working on getting her back in shape but all in all she is doing great! Daisy can be weary with strangers in the home from what we were told but she has been such an angel here with us and is happy to see everyone. She wiggles her entire body around in excitement and smiles from ear to ear when we approach her cage. We can hardly get a picture of her because of her happy feet dancing around in excitement whenever she sees you. Daisy originally came to us from a shelter where she was at risk of being euthanized for space. We don't get a ton of info on these dogs so we don't know much about her history but it is clear she is a lover girl! We believe she was not properly socialized with other animals at an appropriate age and with her history of her surgery and possibly being painful in the future, she is looking to be the only pet in the home. Daisy would adore being an only child and loved on the way she deserves. She knows her commands, is house/potty trained, loves comfy beds, tasty treats, and above all being loved unconditionally. Although this sweet girl has been through a lot of ups and downs in her life, she is still so optimistic and so hopeful for her future. We just know there is a perfect family out there waiting for a dog like Daisy! She is estimated to be around 5 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us. She is also on joint supplements and a medication to help with her anxiety. Daisy did like to run out of her house and cause mischief which is how she ultimately ended up back here with us. She is looking for a family that will make sure she cannot go running out of the front door and get into trouble. If you have the perfect home for Daisy, please apply through the link below. https://form.jotform.com/201977724595065 Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with Daisy. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm/tick disease testing and fecal check. All adoption fees can be found on our groups' Petfinder page. Story
**Adoption Pending** Birdie has the most adorable pouty lips! She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 41 pounds. Oh my goodness, what a sweetie Birdie is! She is affectionate, gentle, and really loves to lean into you and stay close. Be prepared to be showered with kisses too, there is never a shortage of those with her! Truly, her only care is to seek affection and maybe try to sneak up in your lap. While she can be a little bit unsure at times and hand shy, with the right family, she will just blossom. Birdie needs a leader to rely on and trust. Confidence building and some basic obedience training will be important for her. She will need a fun, active home where any children are at least 8 years old with her timid nature. Birdie is a treasure and is sure to bring so much love and joy to her forever home. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Birdie would love to meet them. She has a soft, loose approach with other dogs. She is very interested in other dogs and wants to interact and play, she is also very in tune with her handler and likes to “check in” with you. If you are interested in Birdie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
**Adoption Pending** Harmony is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous eyes, she will have much nicer pictures coming soon to really show her off. She is estimated to be about 2 years old and weighs 46 pounds. Harmony is just so sweet, affectionate and craves human touch and attention. She loves to play and has the cutest full body wag, but also has that docile, cuddly side to her, the best of both! She is a smart girl too who knows the "sit" command and can't wait to learn more tricks. She is very eager to please, gosh, she is going to make someone so lucky and fill their home with love. Harmony is submissive and hand shy though, but with the right nurture, love, care and confidence-building, she will just blossom into a more confident dog. She would be the perfect addition to a family who can give her the love and attention she deserves. She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If there is another nice doggy sibling in the home, Harmony would love to meet them. She has a soft, loose, friendly approach with other dogs that moves into play. She also checks in regularly with you, such a good girl. If you are interested in Harmony and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
