Story
Hershey is about 7 years old, a very loving family friendly dog. Unfortunately she does not get along with other dogs at all and we do have another dog. Hershey was bred for multiple litters then ended up with my husbands roommate, he moved to another state and left her with him, that’s how we got her. Once we moved in together in February we tried to get our dogs to coexist but to no avail. She is such a sweet girl but attacks other dogs. Hershey really needs to be the only dog in the home and preferably a fenced in back yard.

Story
**Meet Winnie!** Winnie is a resilient, joyful Lab-Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and boundless puppy energy! This sweet girl absolutely loves being outside, where her curiosity and playful spirit shine. She’s made incredible progress after her accident and now uses her back legs most of the time—though sometimes she needs a gentle reminder to take it easy when she's zooming around and goes faster than they can handle at the moment. she's still very fast lol. Winnie is crate-trained and sleeps like a champ through the night. She’s working on her potty training that was delayed due to her injury and will thrive with a patient, loving family to help her continue her progress. She’s fantastic with kids and other furry friends, making her a perfect fit for an active, caring home that can give her the love, guidance, and playtime she craves. If you’re ready for an affectionate, unstoppable little companion, Winnie’s ready to meet you!

Story
Meet cute little Fern! She is a petite girl with lots of love to give. Her favorite hobbies include laying in your lap for belly rubs, showing you her favorite stuffed animal, playing a little game of fetch and frolicking in the yard. She has played well with other dogs her size.  Fern is a great co-pilot in the car and is always up for an adventure.  Fern would love to cuddle up on the couch, with her forever family, while the leaves fall outside.  Apply for Fern and her friends will be in touch with you!  We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   November 17, 2024, 8:59 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Love the water? Farrah does her ideal forever will include a pond/lake visits. She loves to dip her head in her water pail, too. Farrah has been with the rescue since she was about 2 months old. She crate trained, potty trained, and knows some commands. She loves to go and visit other dogs. Great dog for a dog park. She does have some prey drive with cats and other small animals. Farrah loves her people very much that she reacts protectively when new people enter her home space. She does take medication for her anxiety which is working wonderfully.  Farrah is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 4, 2024, 7:53 am
