Awesome dog! Very goofy, high energy, good with other dogs and cats. We just had a baby and are nervous because bear shows food aggression with animals when feeding. Other than that he is amazing. I believe he is 8 years old, has papers, pure bread. Loves playing

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Orion is returning to Last Day Dog Rescue and needs a safe and warm place to land. He Loves the company of adults and would thrive in a calm and predictable environment. Orion would do best in a house with adults and older children, and as the only pet in the home. He is also fully potty trained and crate trained. Orion is a faithful companion with a lot of love to give and needs an experienced dog owner who understands his needs and provides him with patience and attention. Orion would love a backyard with a tall fence where he can zoom, explore, and entertain himself.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 12, 2026, 12:56 pm

Grillo AVAILABLE FOR: Adoption BORN: January 2016 SEX: Male BREED: Labrador Retriever WEIGHT: 45 lbs. MARL ARRIVAL: Stray BACKGROUND: Meet Grillo, a sweet senior gentleman with a heart full of love and a tail that still wags with excitement. This affectionate boy is the definition of a best friend—loyal, gentle, and always ready to be by your side. Grillo adores attention and will happily soak up all the pets and praise you have to offer. Cuddles are his specialty, whether it’s curling up next to you on the couch or resting his head in your lap after a long day. He’s friendly with everyone he meets and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around. Don’t forget the treats—Grillo certainly won’t! He never says no to a tasty snack and will reward you with the sweetest grateful eyes (and maybe a few extra tail wags). If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with unconditional love, Grillo is ready to be your best friend. COMPATIBILITY: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Grillo has the potential to get along with other dogs. Grillo would do best in a home without cats. MEDICAL NEEDS: Grillo has tested positive for heartworm and is currently receiving treatment. His treatment includes a course of oral antibiotics and a series of injections, all provided and covered by MARL. We’re hoping Grillo can enter a foster-to-adopt home during this time, with all treatments scheduled through our vet at MARL. Once his treatment is complete, we can finalize his adoption. ADOPTION FEE: $250

Sonic is a sweet boy, a really good dog at the core, and he loves engaging with people and spending time with other dogs. Sonic has been neutered, he is up to date on vaccinations, he tested negative for Heart worm disease, and he’s being given monthly heart worm prevention as well as monthly flea/tick meds. Sonic has so much love and companionship to give. He needs a person to be his leader, best friend, and all day companion. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, please let me introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I am a Lab/Jack Russell Terrier. I am house trained and crate trained, and love to go on walks and sniff around a securely fenced backyard.  Did I tell you that its me that pick all the tomatoes from the plants in the yard ? I am also spayed and have had all of my shots. Sarah was abused by her first human family, so she finds it hard to trust new people and has fear aggression. It will take time to gain Sarah's trust and multiple meetings.  She needs an owner that can give her guidance (and plenty of treats) in situations when she feels insecure. After meeting a trainer Sarah have improved a lot and she responds to her special verbal command.  A training class would be a great adventure for Sarah and her new family. She will excel and perform as an A-student, she likes to learn and is eager to please. Building a relationship with Sarah will be time well spent, once she has overcome her insecurity and fear she is a GREAT active, loyal, and loving dog.  Please come and meet me,  I need is a chance to find my permanent home. Older children only pleas e.    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
