Gender: Female Age: # 1/2 Breed/Color: Lab / Black Location: Gregory, MI Pet ID: 2024_12 Adoption Fee: $350 Princess aka Prissy is one heck of an amazing dog!! She is a lab/hound mix. She has not seen a lot of new things, so she can be shy at first ... ohhhh but don't let that fool you!. She is used to and LOVES cats. Dogs are new to her, but man oh man she can play with them or leave them because she can play by herself!. She is a bit on the chunky side, so clearly she is food motivated in life. She does not know very many commands, but she is not unruly or ill mannered. Princess is the perfect dog for ANY home! Kids? Great! Cats? Great! None of that? GREAT! To adopt an animal from our sanctuary, the first step is to submit an application. *Please note we adopt within the state of MICHIGAN ONLY* The process takes a few weeks. It involves vet and personal reference checks and interview of applicant. There are no exceptions … Please remember that we are all volunteers and it may take a week or so after we receive your application to be contacted. Sometimes several people may be interested in the same pet, so please remember that not every animal is right for every home. To ensure a healthy and happy placement for our pets and their new families, we take the time to evaluate each animal’s temperament and try to match the right animal to the right family. OUR ADOPTION GUIDELINES All fees are subject to change without notice. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee the animal will be adopted to you. We do not work on a first come first serve basis. We collect applications and make our best determination on where we think the animal would thrive the best. We have the right to deny any applicant without explanation, and the decision is final. Very rarely do we get written documentation of an animal’s age and breed. We do not guarantee these, we work with professionals to help make the best determination. All of our foster homes follow a 30 Day Stay policy and do not make ANY exceptions. This policy requires every animal who comes into foster care, to stay in foster care for a minimum of 30 day before going to their forever home. Story
Jasper is an amazing dog! We've had him for 3.5 years (since he was a puppy) and he's great with kids and other pets, including cats. He is house trained and also responds to basic commands like sit, down, stay. He loves to play and go on walks and is still fairly high energy. He recently made the journey from Texas to Michigan with us and a few things have led us to seeking a new home for him: 1) He has a lot of allergies in Michigan and needs a monthly Cytopoint injection and fairly frequent baths to keep them in check. Unfortunately our kids have developed allergies to his pet dander and can't play with him that much. 2) We've had some changes in our schedule with work and school that make it difficult to get him the play time he needs. Coupled with the kids and allergies he has to spend more time in his kennel and leaves him with a lot of pent up energy. It's a tough decision for us but we'd really like to find a new home that has the time needed to give Jasper his best life!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ronan is looking for his forever home. He is a 7 month old Australian Shepherd-lab mix with lots of puppy energy. He loves to play with his toys and is always trying to play with the other dogs in the home. He is a super soft and cuddly, 30-pound lap dog.  Ronan is eager to please, comes when called, and walks well on a leash. We crated him when we left and he did really well. He slept on a dog bed in our room, but would love to share a bed with his humans. He is still learning which toys are his, but will drop anything you tell him to. He walked through an open gate a few times but never left the front yard. He is a little mouthy, like any puppy, but never with the kids, and is easily redirected with a toy.       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate November 9, 2024, 11:07 pm

An amazing dog who just needs someone that can spend more time with her. Unfortunately me and the fiancée completely misjudged her energy levels.
