Story
Nessa is a 5 year old Lab mix who is way past ready to find the perfect family. Nessa has had a rough past, which makes it hard for her to warm up to new people, but once you are in her circle she is the sweetest and goofiest girl you could imagine. Winning Nessa over will take a very patient and loving human who is willing to take things at her pace, but having a dog like her open her heart to you is the most rewarding and fulfilling experience you can imagine.  With her favorite people Nessa starts showing her true personality. She LOVES treats (especially the human food type), belly rubs, and under ear scritches. She also loves to chew on tasty benebones, or kill those pesky squeaky stuffed toys. Nessa also has a very beautiful voice and happily greets you or tells you how excited she is for meal time by expressing it. She also gets VERY excited to go on walks with her pack! Despite being afraid of the world, when shes walking with her people and her dog friends her tail never stops wagging. Nessa's best friends in her foster home are a confident happy beagle who shows her the ropes, and on overly friendly cat who loves snuggling up to her. She would love more friends in her new home to help her learn that her new humans are AWESOME and that there is no reason to be scared.  Nessa is crate trained, house trained and dog and cat friendly! Because she can be such a nervous nelly she may do better in a home without rambunctious youngsters. We would love to introduce you to this beautiful soul, and can't wait to hear from you soon.  She is spayed and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $250. Story
Ace is 5 months old. My father acquired him from a friend who was giving away puppies. Ace is very smart but needs someone who has time for him. My father was his caretaker but was in a car accident which will have him unable to take care of ace. He does not have shots and is not neutered unfortunately. Ace is a good boy but needs a new home as we will be busy with taking care of my father! I’m hoping he can be with someone who can give him time and love him as he should be loved!

Coal is an 11 year old lab mix. His mom is a Marine and just got stationed in Japan. She was afraid Coal wouldn't survive the flight from the US to Japan so we agreed to foster him. Coal absolutely loves to chase his tennis ball! He also loves to cuddle on the couch!

Story
Meet Eddie! Eddie came to us as a stray and sadly nobody came for him so he is now searching for a new forever home! Eddie is a Labrador retriever/hound mix that is about 5 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. Eddie is a very happy go lucky boy that loves to be around people and being the hound mix he is, loves to talk! Eddie is housebroken and is good with kids, doesn’t seem to mind the cats and is good with the other dogs. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along. Eddie is up to date on his vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & neutered! If you are interested in making Eddie a part of your family please contact the shelter directly at 989-831-7302 to set up an appointment to meet him! *All adoptions are done by appointment only*

Story
Imagine the perfect pairing of personalities, like peanut butter and jelly, or sun and sea. Well, fate has decided to bring you and this handsome boy together. Say hello to Groot, a sturdy yet snuggly adventurer with the perfect blend of energy and relaxation! This handsome boy knows how to turn any day into a great one with his love for water play, car rides, and a good ol' tennis ball chase. When he wants a little extra attention or a treat, he’ll let out an adorable chirpy whine—a sound so unique it’s bound to make you smile every time! Groot is also the king of house manners, with top-notch obedience skills and an impressive calmness during storms and fireworks. Groot is a dedicated yard guardian, always on the lookout to keep the squirrels and bunnies at bay. While his strong prey drive may keep your garden free of pesky critters, he has an equally determined opinion about neighborhood cats, so a feline-free home would be best. When it comes to people, Groot is all about quality over quantity. He’s a bit shy with strangers and prefers slow, respectful introductions that allow him to warm up on his own time. Because of his cautious nature, a calm and adult-only home without the unpredictability of children is ideal for him. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and independent companion who balances adventure with relaxation and appreciates a low-key social circle, Groot might just be your perfect match! Submit your adoption application at the MAS website below to find out! D.O.B. is 09/06/20 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas.
