Story
🐾 Meet Kosmo: Your Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold! 🐾 Are you ready to welcome 123 pounds of pure love into your life? Say hello to Kosmo, the four-year-old gentle giant who’s here to melt your heart and maybe raid your fridge. With Kosmo by your side, you'll have a loyal companion who’s equal parts goofy and gentle. Kosmo's Cool Credentials: * Gentle Giant: At 123 pounds, Kosmo is a whole lot of love wrapped in fur. He’s a big boy with an even bigger heart. * Medical Marvel: Kosmo has had seizures, and is currently on medication to reduce the frequency of these episodes. He’s a champ at taking his meds, especially when they're disguised as gourmet "meatballs" with grated cheese. * Leash Pro: Kosmo walks gently on a leash. He might amble a bit—he’s probably still getting the hang of it—but he’s a polite walker. * House Trained & Well Mannered: No accidents here! Kosmo is house trained and knows his manners, though he does have a penchant for checking the fridge, freezer, and ice cube maker. (He’s just making sure everything is safe for you, of course.) * Treat Taker Extraordinaire: Kosmo takes treats gently and will even sit and give you his paw. He’s all about those belly rubs and back scratches too. * Calm Companion: Give him time and he’ll settle in, ready to relax with you. * Car Enthusiast: Kosmo loves car rides! Sometimes he enjoys them so much he might not want to get out. A snack usually does the trick. * Quiet but Mighty: Kosmo doesn’t bark often, but when he does, you’ll know it. *Friend to all: He’s good with dogs of all sizes, kids, and cats, too. * Pup Cup Connoisseur: Kosmo has a taste for the finer things, like pup cups and chicken. Treat him to one of these, and you’ll be his favorite person. Ready to add a giant dose of love and laughter to your life? Kosmo is waiting to be your gentle giant and loyal companion. Come meet him today, and prepare for the best protection detail and fridge inspection services around! 🐶❤️ __________________________________ If you are interested in finding out more about Kosmo, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Kosmo is being fostered in Salem, MA. The adoption fee is $400. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Loki - This handsome gentleman is a great dog, a true adventure buddy who loves his walks and outside time but will also come back inside for a well deserved nap on his bed/blanket. Here's the thing, Loki has become nervous when meeting new people so it takes a few meetings for him to trust new friends. He is most nervous around men however, the staff has noticed him displaying standoffish and self-preserving behavior around most new people - he is just unsure. So, when you come into the shelter please consider giving him a while to get to know you - come for a walk with him and the Adoption staff, bring some cookies, and be prepared for a few visits before he gets used to your company before a deeper connection can be made. Loki is such a good boy and being in the shelter has made him frustrated but we know his perfect family is out there! Loki does seem to enjoy the company of other dogs - with proper meeting of course - he just gets very excited so it depends on how the other canine friend feels about this big guy. Do you have the TLC - time, love, and care - for this wonderful guy? Come visit him or call us at the shelter for more information! (508) 867-5525. *Loki's adoption fee has been generously paid for by a donor*

Story
Meet Naomi! Naomi is about 7 months old, currently 37 lbs, and she may have some Lab in her mix!. In her foster home, she is doing great with her house-training, but does not have a lot of experience with crate-training and leash-walking. She could go to a home with other dogs and/or kids 5+. Cats are unknown. She would benefit from a home with a fenced-in yard. Her foster says, "Naomi is a smart dog. She loves to have her belly rubbed and will come to you for attention. She listens when you say no. She loves playing in the yard with other dogs. I have never owned a lab, but can see why it is a preferred breed, they are very loyal dogs. Naomi melted our hearts from the day we found her. She knows how to use those puppy dog eyes."She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on November 8th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
