Meet Miss Norma! This cutie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas where her time was almost up. Norma was dumped after being adopted from the City shelter in June. We knew we had to step in and save her. Norma is a 1 year young, lab mix that weights about 50lbs. She does well in her crate over night. Does good on and gets along well with other dogs. Norma is getting used to living in a home and appears to be house broken. To adopt Norma, apply online on our website! www.aplaceforace.org

He is full of classic puppy energy, eager to have fun and explore the world around him. Samson is looking for a home that is ready to commit to puppy training, with all of its joys and challenges, to help him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.Samson is curious about every living creature and wants to play with all of them. He goes right up to new people to make friends. Samson has lived with kids aged 2-8 and loved to wrestle and play with them. He would enjoy having human siblings who understand that he’s also a kid and is still learning rules and boundaries. Samson has tried to convince the cats he’s lived with to join in the fun and play with him, though he hasn’t always been successful. Being a young guy, his main focus in life to play, whether it’s by himself or with others.Samson has been working hard to learn crate training and house training. He’s making good progress but is still very young, so he hopes his new family will give him consistency, patience, and time to perfect his puppy manners. Samson has also started to learn how to walk on his leash and looks forward to making more progress in his new home.Samson is full of puppy energy, curiosity, and sweetness. Are you ready to welcome his puppy kisses into your life? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. Story
Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesHarley Memphis is a sweet, loyal, sensitive soul who is looking for a patient and loving family to live out his golden years. He recently underwent two major surgeries and is looking for a home that will continue to meet his unique medical needs. Although he has some physical limitations, he does not let this bring him down and is enjoying his life to the fullest!A few of Harley’s favorite things include snuggling with his humans, going for short walks, zoomies in small spaces, and spray cheese! Due to his mobility issues, Harley would do best in a home with minimal stairs and that has carpeting as he sometimes slips on hardwood floors. He would love a home with lots of soft dog beds, as he is unable to jump onto furniture. He does well with new dogs after proper introductions, but should have monitored interactions with other dogs, especially when approached from behind, until he feels more confident. Harley is currently thriving in his foster home and does best with structure and boundaries. He has met cats and would do best in a cat-free home as he is a bit too interested in his feline friends. Harley has met children and would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy teens (16+) who will respect his personal space and not make sudden, loud noises or movements. Harley is fully house and crate trained. Harley enjoys having his crate door open so he can come and go as he pleases. He rotates through his crate and his favorite dog beds when his foster is at work. Harley enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and walks well on leash. Harley is looking for a quiet family who will provide him with structure, love, and support so he can live a life of leisure!Note: Harley is part of our Foster to Adopt (FTA) program for prescription medication. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
