Story
Meet Duncan, a handsome 5-year-old male Lab/Hound mix with soulful eyes and a heart full of love! Duncan is on the lookout for his forever family and promises to be a loyal and loving companion. This sweet boy currently lives with 2 adults and 2 teenagers(every other weekend for the teenagers) and provides pure joy to everyone! Younger kiddos may make him nervous so kids over 10yrs would be best. Duncan loves receiving big hugs, belly scratches and cuddling on a couch with his loved ones. He’d do amazing in a peaceful home and would make an excellent walking partner. Duncan is best suited in a home with a fenced backyard to play and with a family who can appreciate his gentle and loving nature. Duncan is so friendly but gets anxious meeting new dogs. Slow and thoughtful introductions would be the best for him to warm up to other pups. He is treat motivated and easy to train!

Story
Name: Wyatt Sex: Male Breed: Lab Mix Age: 3 yo Weight: 60lb Adoptable in MA and NH Wyatt is a social, playful three-year-old boy who comes to us originally from Tennessee! He was found in a barn with his mother, Whitney, and sister, Willow. Wyatt loves people and will be absolutely thrilled to see any of them! He loves to go to the state park for a quick jump in the pond. He is an excellent car rider and will let you fashion him to a seat belt so he can ride in style! Wyatt also loves the vet and will be a star whenever he goes due to his love for anyone he meets. He's a sweet, loving dog! Wyatt has lived with older children and done well, but may jump on the little ones and any strangers he's excited to see. While Wyatt has resided with other animals, he is looking for a pet-free home at this time, as he holds his toys, home and food near and dear to his heart! Wyatt will thrive in a high-energy home with lots of mental stimulation and things to do. He'll love any chance you give him for exercise, so he's a great running buddy! Wyatt has been crate-trained and quite enjoys spending time in his little den, and will likely benefit from being crated during times someone cannot be home, as he does tend to have wandering paws when he gets bored! He is completely housebroken. He knows his basic commands of come, sit, stay, paw, other paw, down, and up. He absolutely loves to learn, play, and just generally be a dog! If you're looking for a sweet, loving, high-energy dog, Wyatt would be a great addition to your pet-free home. If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please fill out an application at survivortails.org or email adoptions@survivortails.org with interest or questions. Thank you.

Story
Name: Leo Sex: Male Breed: Lab mix Age: 5 years Dogs/cats: Pet free see bio Adoptable in MA & NH My name is Leo. I am a 4 year old Lab mix who is extremely loyal, playful, and very smart. My favorite things to do is play fetch with the chuck it ball in the yard. I get so fixated on that ball that I could chase it all day. I love to be outside with walks or chasing the ball. I also love squeaky toys, and the lab in me loves the water. At the end of the day I will curl up at your feet, and when inside, I will follow you around the house, and watch tv with you. I do growl every once and a while when I see animals on tv but stop when I hear the command “enough”. I know some basic commands. Sit, wait, come, down, ball, enough, and go potty. The last command that I have been working on and am very good at now is “place”. When I hear that command, I go into my crate, and wait until things calm down. I am crate trained, and find that to be my safe space when things get hectic. This is where I eat my meals. I am not food aggressive. You can take my bowl away, and I will be fine. I will also let you know when I need to go outside and need to go potty. When someone I don’t know comes to the house I do bark but I am given the command place, and I go to my crate where I stay until the company is in the house and there is a more relaxed atmosphere. My previous owner had a 14 month old son, and I was very gentle with him. He would even give me his food, and I would gently take from his hand. Also, I got very close with children who I knew, and was very good with them. Once I get to know you and I feel safe, (treats help, I really love treats) I will follow you around, and am very loving. I do not do well with reactive/unstable dogs. I do not like cats. I had to leave my previous home because of this. I have been in a few dog fights. I need an owner who commit to my basic training and proper leash training so I focus on you and not be reactive to other dogs. On walks, I am told to sit, then wait as other dogs pass. I have lived with another dog before for 3 years (beagle mix), and we are fine together. But it took a few times of us being in the same area to get comfortable with each other. I need a slow, controlled introduction to other dogs. We are at this time looking for a pet free home for Leo. Leo is adoptable in NH & MA Please complete an application to foster or adopt on our website www.survivortails.org as well as email adoptions@survivortails.org with interest or questions.

Story
Duke is 2 year old rescued from Mississippi. He is a snuggly sweet boy with a big personality. He is full of energy, loves to swim or hike in the woods followed by snuggles on the couch. He is a fiercely loving dog to his owners, and in many ways is the best dog we have ever owned. Duke struggles with children (his exposure currently is kids age 1-10), and has experienced fear aggression several times with kids. Dukes future home must be child free, and ideally he is the only dog in the home. We are trying to start a family in the next year which is why we must rehome him. Duke would thrive with outdoor space. He is very sweet with adults and will be your #1 companion as he has been ours.

Story
We have some great videos of NOVA! Email storkwoods@comcast.net to get those sent to you! There are a lot of dogs that look like Nova but truly only one that looks like Nova and is as amazing as she is….but of course we are bias! Nova is about 5 years old and is a spayed female. She is very loved in her current home but her family is getting custody of a small child who is allergic to dogs so all of their fur babies have to find new homes. She is used to hanging out with teenagers and chilling but really shines when she is outside catching a frisbee or a ball mid air. She is super athletic even though she is about 65 pounds. If she was a male her name would be Michael Jordan. She has mad catching skills and is entertaining to watch as she really puts on a show! Who doesn’t love a dog that is super cool that can catch a frisbee in the air at full speed?!! We definitely want to find her a home with a fenced in yard so she can enjoy this activity. Nova has always had other furry friends to hang with and right now her big buddy is a 15 year old 10 pound poodle. Since she gains so much confidence from other dogs we would like her to be in a home with another dog. Nova is a love bug and really appreciates life to its fullest. The little things just make her so happy. Going for a walk…..well you just made her tail go a hundred miles a minute. She is super social and loves the company of humans and dogs alike. We feel that Nova would not be at her fullest potential if she was left alone for 10-12 hours at a time. She has so much love and fun to share its a shame to waste it on being an “ evening” only pet. Nova is housetrained as well. If you think you could give this special gal an incredible home, the BEST way to begin is to EMAIL STORKWOODS@COMCAST.NET directly for an adoption application. We think you will love her! We have foster homes in several areas of the country. We do have transport available.
