Story
Meet Butters! Butters is a 1 year old lab mix that is on the search for her forever home! Butters currently weighs about 35lbe but will continue to grow as she gains more weight. Butters was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was next on the list to be euthanized. We knew is our hearts that she needed our help to make it out alive. Butters does great with dogs of all sizes but does have plenty of puppy energy so mah annoy older sir smaller dogs. She would love a home where she is the center of attention and go on all of your fun adventures. She loves running in the yard with her toys and dog friends. She is getting used to knowing what life is like in a home so she isn’t her house broken but working on her best manners. Since she’s very excitable, she loves her people so much that she cannot help but jump up, her foster is working on breaking that habit since Butters doesn’t realize she isn’t a small chihuahua! Interested in making Butters a permanent family member? Visit our website and apply today! www.aplaceforace.org

Adoptable in: MAGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: YesGood with kids: Yes (13+)Crate trained: Working on itHouse trained: YesAce is an adorable pup who adores snuggling, playing tug of war, and hanging out with his humans! Anyone who meets him falls head over heels for this gentle and silly little goofball. He gets along well with many dogs, especially older and calmer ones who can match his mellow energy level, and he has a blast at daycare with his furry friends. Ace is already house-trained and is currently working on crate training - he's a total champ at overnight crating and is actively making progress with daytime crating.A perfect day for Ace starts with a nice walk (where he loves to say hello to new people with a friendly howl!) and then he spends the rest of the day chilling on the couch with his chew toys and his family. He's highly motivated by food and will do just about anything for a tasty treat, so further training should be a piece of cake. He also thrives on routine, so having a schedule will help him settle into his new environment.Ace is the ultimate companion animal - he feels much more confident and comfortable when he's around his humans so he has some separation anxiety, which is slowly improving in his foster home! Because of this, he would do best with a family that is home more often than not. Additionally, he tends to be vocal when anxious (and even when he's happy and excited - this chatty boy loves to say hello!). Ace is best suited for a single-family home.Ace is a fantastic dog who is eagerly waiting to meet his forever family! Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Georgia is always ready to give kisses, hugs, and high fives (she has learned how to do that) and while she loves being outdoors she is just as fond of relaxing on the couch snuggled up to her human. Georgia can be timid and shy when it comes to unfamiliar sounds or objects therefore her new adopter will need to continue to show her the world isn’t so big and scary. She can be nervous around smaller, energetic children but has done well with older kids. Georgia is house-trained, crate-trained. and walks well on a leash. She has so much love to give and belly rubs to offer, her sweet disposition will bring joy to everyone she meets! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. Story
KEVIN One thing about Kevin- he is always making us LAUGH! Not because he is chaotic or energetic either. Kevin is a low-key guy that prefers not to draw attention to himself. Despite that, he never fails to shine a spotlight on himself. That’s because he loves to steal laundry from his foster mom! Not only is he a thief, he also has no problem sleeping next to the evidence without a care in the world… LOL Besides being a goofy guy, Kevin would make a really easy going dog for a quiet home. He is still learning how to “dog” after being a stray but he is an excellent house guest. One of Kevin’s FAVORITE things to do is to lounge outside. We think he would be happiest with a fenced yard because of that, but not mandatory if a plan is in place to help him adjust! Story
When Princess and her sister were brought into the shelter as strays, they were shell shocked. They lived their entire lives outside playing as puppies do and their biggest concern was when they would eat next. Fast forward to being locked in a kennel surrounded by chaos, loud dogs, and strangers walking by like they were checking out an exhibit at the zoo. The girls slowly started getting used to this new life with the presence of one another. Until a very busy day at the shelter, more dogs than we can count were brought in and there was no longer space to continue holding dogs that weren't being adopted. The euthanasia list was long and heartbreaking. Princess and Genesis were on that list... Shelter staff never want to make these decisions but unfortunately a stray hold is mandatory for new strays and there was simply no more room. The staff worked overtime until they were told they needed to leave for the day. Which left Princess alive still and alone in a scary place. My heart breaks for every minute she sat there scared and alone without her sister. When Princess arrived to Massachusetts she was nothing like a puppy. She was heartbroken and sad. She slept a lot and didn't often leave her crate. As she slowly learned to trust and form a relationship with new dog friends, the puppy in Princess started to come out! She has started playing with toys, getting zoomies in the yard, and even wags her tail when she to greet her foster mom now. Princess needs a quiet and patient home that will give her time to blossom. With a playful dog by her side she feels most confident, so we are looking to place Princess in a home with another nice dog. Adopt Princess and watch her as she heals her broken heart - there truly is no greater gift.  6 mo/35 lbs Retriever mixwould love another friendly dog in home to be her bestest friend crate trained quiet old soul, timid & sweet SPAYED, up to date on vaccines, microchipped ——————————————-fostered in Saugus, MA- Apply today ‍ *Please note: We're an all-volunteer organization, and incomplete applications cannot be processed.* If you're interested in adopting a GBP rescue PAL, please submit an application through the link below.
