Story
Hi I'm June, and I'm proof that good things are worth waiting for! When I first meet someone I can be a little shy, but by our second meeting, my sweet loving personality will truly shine! I'm a people-pleaser who just wants to love and be loved in return. I try my hardest to be a good girl and am potty and crate-trained. I also know how to sit, shake, and use the doggy door. I love to cuddle, go on walks, and chase balls. Though I'm not great at fetching, I'm a star at sharing so I’ll allow any pet siblings to return the ball for us. I do very well with dogs of all sizes, and I’d do best in a home with another dog for a playmate and companion. I can't wait to share all my love with my forever people! To meet me, go to WAALrescue.org/adopt and fill out an application.

Story
Joplin loves other dogs but likes to play rough. He takes correction well and has been to doggy daycare. When it comes to kids, he can be kinda rough when excited so maybe not small children. He will steal food from kids if the opportunity presents itself. Joplin is potty trained and goes into his kennel easily. He is a people please and listens when you say "no. He knows commands sit, down, kennel, shake, and spin. Joplin has come pretty far with his indoor manners. He hasn't had an accident inside in months, hasn't chewed any shoes lately, not generally destructive indoors. I buy him large beef cheek rolls to chew on because smaller chews do not last very long lol. He is a very active dog and can be obsessive over things like the squirrels and birds in the backyard. I have a 6 foot privacy fence that he used to try to dig under but has not lately. He still digs holes in the yard if not watched though, he loves to dig! He really likes to hang out in the yard no matter the weather. Joplin is kind of hard to walk as he gets distracted by anything that moves and will cross in front of and behind you. Its better to walk him on a quieter path, not near traffic and loads of people. He is extremely friendly but does get spooked by unexpected things on walks, will bark and put up hackles. When he's excited, his manners go out the window. He will start jumping on people and sometimes will get your hand instead of the toy if playing. When we wind down for the night, Joplin loves to cuddle. He has no boundaries and wants to be in your lap or sleeping as close to you as possible. Definitely likes the company of other dogs around the house. He's a pretty big sweetie in general, not at all aggressive. I think he would appreciate a home with more activity than mine (more people to play with and also a dog that likes to play)

Story
Bruce is such a sweet boy but it takes a little bit of time for him to trust new people and relax. Bruce is smart and thrives with good leadership. He will always need a strong leader and proper introductions to new people. He knows sit, shake, and wait. His boarding buddy has been working with him on not pulling on leash as well as how to handle strangers who may be near him on walks. Bruce enjoys playing with other dogs in doggy daycare. He has some separation anxiety when left so he needs to be crated when the humans are gone. Bruce needs a quiet home without a lot of visitors and without children. He is waiting in boarding and we hope this sweet boy gets the family he deserves soon! Bruce was deemed a potentially dangerous dog (PDD) by the city and must have an adopter or foster out of Wichita city limits.
