Hi! I am Casey and I am a very playful Lab mix! I am very much a people dog. I love all people and I’m a big snuggle bug. I also love treats. I am a good chewer too meaning, I chew on my toys! I am potty trained and haven’t had the need to be kenneled. I’m an athletic girl and like to test the boundaries, so would need a 6’foot fence or on a leash outside or possibly underground fence. But a 4’ fence won’t keep me in! :) I have been living with a cat and that’s fine but have had some issues with the other dog in the home. I have been with him since he was four months old, and he has been the sweetest, most loyal dog I could have asked for, hence his name! Happy is a very playful, energetic dog, and at times a total couch potato. He loves walks and playing in the snow. He is my best friend. Unfortunately, my one year old daughter has a moderate allergy to dogs that is causing her great stress. I can provide all veterinary documents citing his previous vaccines and treatments. Buzz was adopted by my 75 year old mother who felt she needed a dog around for security, and has always been too much dog for her. She had him for around 18 months, so he's about 3. He's spent a lot of time in a pen, so when he's let loose to exercise he pulls too hard for her. I've had him for 2 days now, and he's very manageable with the 2 walks a day my dogs get and stayed close off leash. He's very good around other dogs, but has a short fuse with my cats so I've kept them separated. Ive got 4 dogs of my own so I can't keep him, but he deserves better than the pound. He's very affectionate, love attention and neck rubs, and is learning to swim. I work overnights so replies might be slow, but will make time in early evenings for interviews. I'm in Lawrence, but am totally willing to drive a little for adoptions.

Hello!! My name is Maddox and I am about 7 months old! I'm a playful and loving guy, I warm up to everyone I meet immediately. I was surrendered to HOPE because my owner felt he didn't have enough time for me and also, his cat didn't like me very much. I do okay with the lobby cats here, they even freak me out a bit but maybe it would be best if I was in a home with dog-experienced cats, just incase. I hadn't met many dogs before I came here but I do just fine with the ones I've met so far. I may need a home with older kids, I still haven't learned not to jump quite yet, and nobody wants a little kid getting hurt because of me. I'm a great guy! The people here also think I'm kennel trained, I stay nice and quiet and haven't had a mess yet.

Kane, is a 5 month old lab/ boxer mix. He is a very good boy, he listens and understands commands, he trains easily after just a couple attempts. He is potty trained and can handle waiting up to 10 hours to go out if he has to. He loves to cuddle and chew on his toys. He does great with all other animals and children. We found out soon after we got him that for numerous reasons we cannot keep him and he needs a better home that can take care/ give him all the love he deserves. If you or anyone you know can give him that home, please let us know. He's had all his shots and is neutered. He will come with everything you need, paperwork, toys, bowls, coats, leash, food and dog bed, and $30 to help you start off.
