Online Adoption Application › Hi, I’m Grixly. Before foster care I was in a home with 40+ other dogs living in terrible conditions. Hungry and sleeping in our own filth. I have only been in foster care since July but I’ve mastered potty training, I enjoy my kennel time as it helps me decompress. I get a little overwhelmed sometimes. See, I’m in a home with 6 other dogs and as much fun as it is. I think a home with just a few friends would really help me thrive. I like cats but when I’m in my kennel I get spooked by them, so I bark, but when I’m out of my kennel I’m too scared to go anywhere near them. Cats are scary. I’m not aggressive in any way at all I’m just still a little scared of the world. My foster says I have not one mean bone in my body. I’m working on leash training, still not my best accomplishment since I never knew what it was before being a foster. I need a loving, patient home. Grixly is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives. CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies and an additional $150 spay/ neuter deposit where applicable. All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped. All payments are by credit card. Adopters schedule their own surgeries directly with any vet of their choosing with a surgery cost reimbursement of up to $75 (plus refund of the $150 deposit) when proof of surgery is received by CARE. Surgery is required to be done within 6 months of adoption (unless they have a vet recommending otherwise). This girl is a very fast runner! I have never witnessed a full blooded Lab run anything like she does! So she is a "Whipador"! Elsa is a loving, beautiful, and energetic girl! She loves to run and play with her foster family pups. Elsa is cautious and curious about new people and new situations. It takes time for her to warm up but once she does, she will be by your side at all times. She loves attention from her people! This pup is smart! She will "sit" on command and "shake" with her paw! Elsa has learned how to fetch a tennis ball and loves to do this! Elsa has also added "Shop Dog" to her resume! I take her to the framing shop I work at and she has warmed up to everyone there. They have won her trust with patience AND yummy treats! I feel she would do well with a family with another dog, but she would be ok being the only dog with a loving family that had the time and patience to build on what she has accomplished to this point!
