Story
Meet Neville, a one-year-old, 51-pound Labrador Retriever mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love. Neville is an energetic and playful pup who would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, explore, and enjoy plenty of playtime. He’s the perfect match for an active family looking for a loyal and fun-loving companion. Neville is highly food-motivated and already knows commands like sit and shake. He’s working hard on his manners, including learning not to jump up when he’s excited. This sweet boy is eager to please and quick to learn, making him a joy to train.  Neville does well with other dogs when properly supervised, as he’s still learning about boundaries. While he hasn’t lived with cats, with proper introductions, he’s likely to adjust well. Due to his occasional excitement and tendency to jump, he’d do best in a home with older children who can appreciate his energy and enthusiasm. Neville is a family’s dream dog—affectionate, trainable, and ready to soak up all the love and attention he can get. If you’re searching for a sweet and energetic companion who will fit right into your active lifestyle, Neville could be the perfect addition to your family. His minimum adoption fee is $100 plus a $15 fee for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Yogi, a strikingly handsome 1.5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing just over 40 pounds. This energetic, friendly boy is eager to find an active forever family who can match his zest for life. Yogi is a high-energy pup who thrives on physical activity and mental challenges. He loves toys, enjoys car rides, and relishes the chance to run and play with children or canine friends. While he’s great with kids, he’s still mastering his manners and learning to keep all four paws on the ground—a work in progress he calls "jumping for joy." At the shelter, he keeps his kennel impeccably clean and is so good about listening to the staff! His food motivation and eager-to-please nature make him a quick learner. Although a fenced yard isn’t required, it would give Yogi the perfect space to burn off his energy safely. With his love of adventure and playful spirit, he’s ready to be your loyal sidekick in all of life’s escapades. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who’s great with other dogs and full of potential, Yogi might just be your perfect match! His adoption fee is $100, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents if he's 4 months or older. I have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and am on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Meet Bagheera, a 10-month-old, 45-pound Lab mix with a heart full of love and a world of potential! Bagheera is making great progress with house training and does wonderfully in her crate. She adores playtime, whether it’s romping in the yard or the house with her canine pals, chasing after toys, chewing on bones, or playing fetch. Once she’s tuckered out, she’s all about snuggling up for some quality lap time. While Bagheera is initially timid, she thrives in the company of other confident dogs who can help her feel secure and build her confidence. She’s also a big fan of walks and would do best in a home with a fenced yard to keep her safe as she adjusts to new surroundings. Because of her initial shyness, Bagheera will do best in a home with older, respectful kids who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. Bagheera’s foster mom says, “Bagheera is the sweetest girl once she warms up to people, though she’s understandably cautious at first. Her rough start in life has made her initially fearful, but with patience, space, and some tasty treats, she blossoms into a loyal, velcro dog. She warmed up to me in about an hour and to my teenage son in a day. Now, she follows us everywhere and loves snuggling as much as she loves playing. She absolutely thrives with other dogs and would do best with a canine sibling. She’s tolerant of rough play and knows when to back off if another dog signals they’re done. Bagheera can be a reactive barker at times, so a home without shared walls would be ideal. This sweet, loving girl has so much to offer, and she’s ready to bring her endless affection to her forever family.” Bagheera is ready to start her next chapter with a family who understands her needs and is excited to help her continue to blossom. Could that be you? Her minimum adoption fee is $100 plus a $15 fee for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
We adopted Sapper as a very small puppy so my older dog would have a play mate. We got him from a local rescue center. He was very easy to potty train and crate train. (Super smart). He knows how to sit and shake. He was a typical puppy got along well with my other dog, cat and small children. Now that Sapper in well into his 2s he still has puppy energy but is a full grown dog. Unfortunately I run a in home daycare and watch about 8 children daily. I have to keep poor Sapper in his crate while the children are at our home. I feel so guilty leaving him locked up during the day but he jumps on the kids, licks their face, and is constantly in their space. My older dog now 11, has been showing signs of aggression and has been food reactive with Sapper. This is why we think he could use a different home. He's a beautiful, sweet, and smart dog and I want him to have a home he can be more free in.

Story
Kenna is a 7-year-old sweetheart who came to us from an out-of-state rescue in rough shape. This poor girl was plagued with a whole host of dermatological issues, ones that were actually so severe that the original shelter labeled her a shar-pei mix. In reality, her skin was just so pickled from mistreatment and once we began treating it with medicine and a special diet we started seeing major improvement! She`s growing hair and putting on weight, but we`re still working on diagnosing her full condition. So far she`s being treated for Demodex mange, dry eye, and ear infections. Despite her medical setbacks, Kenna is a DOLL and it is easy once you meet her to see why the staff loves her so much! If she is playing and you call for her, she`ll prance over to you for attention. She loves love and being pet but gets very itchy from it. :( Kenna is not available for adoption at this moment, but could be eligible for foster under the right circumstances. If interested, please give us a call at 309-353-8277.
