Story
Meet Jax: your next best buddy with a heart as big as his paws! This 2-year-old scruffy superstar is like a big puppy at heart—playful, goofy, and full of love. With his dashing good looks and a personality that lights up any room, Jax is ready to be the life of your home. Jax is super smart and already knows his basic commands (did someone say “sit” or “paw”?). He’s also a certified tail-wagger who loves to chase after toys, explore new adventures, and show off his zoomies. But don’t let his energy fool you—when playtime is over, he’s all about curling up for some quality snuggles (bonus points if belly rubs are involved). This big teddy bear loves to play rough, so he’s best suited for a home with kids aged 12 and up who can match his fun-loving style. He also needs to be the only dog in the house—Jax wants all the love to himself! A fenced yard is a must to keep this energetic guy safe while he gets his zoomies on, and he’ll thrive with an experienced adopter who understands his big-puppy ways. If you’re ready for a loyal sidekick who’s equal parts fun and love, Jax can’t wait to meet you! Fill out that adoption application and let the adventures begin! Jax's adoption fee is $350 which includes being fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and fecal exam. Note: All dogs require a $100 cash training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full. It’s critical our pups are set up for success long term along with their adopters.

Meet Sam! Sam is many things: Avid squirrel and bunny watcher. Full of attitude. Loves stuff toys. Good with other dogs and cats. A mature lab mix gentleman,  Although he is older, Sam can still have the energy of a puppy! He is great with new people and his own humans of course.   He loves to be loved and will demand attention. If attention is not given to him, he will let you know!  He loves to nap during the day on his big dog bed that he will also share with his friend Blanca  He seems to have lived in a crate so he is still working on house-training but we know that will get better and better. If you want to open your home to this 53 lb love, complete your application today.  If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Story
Astro here! Or, as my foster parents call me, Good Boy.  I am a very affectionate, medium energy, 5yr old, 30 lb mix.  While I get along just fine with other dogs, I really am more interested in people than other dogs. It takes me a bit to trust strangers but then I like to give humans lots and lots of kisses  I love my fuzzy squeaky toys and playing tug. One of my favorite things to do is roll around upside down in sheets, pillows and blankets.  I love getting butt and back scratches and will verbalize adorable little grunts when you hit the right spot.  My humans say I am adorable.   I am also a good guard dog and will bark when someone comes to the front door. I would love a home with a fenced-in back yard where I could run around and chase the squirrels. I also like chasing cats, so a cat free home is best for me! I'm working on some basics like "sit", "stay" and how to walk well on a leash. I have a little bit of anxiety (who wouldn't with my sad past?) but, with a regular schedule, I do just fine.  I would love to meet you, take a walk, and kiss you as you give me scratches! If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  .
