Tyler needs a home with someone who has the time to train him. We are concerned that he will cause trouble with our neighbor’s 1500 cows currently calving, and the cattlemen are paid to protect the herd at all costs.

Story
Whiskey is a sweet, fun loving and active girl! She is around 7 months old. She is a husky/lab/ greyhound at least that is what we have been told. This girl does like to cause some mischief when she gets bored so an active family with a fenced yard is a must! Antlers and toys that are indestructible are also a good help for keeping her out of trouble most of the time. She is great with other dogs though she isn't the best at understanding when they have had enough of her puppy energy. She would do best in a home where she has another dog friend to burn her energy and continue teaching her how to dog! She is working on walking on a leash. She is mostly housetrained. She is great with dog savvy cats but I would say no kittens for her at this point as she doesn't understand how big she is and wants to play with them a bit too rough. She is starting to like her kennel more but is a barker when you leave so apartment living isn't going to be the best option for her. She is ready to find her new family to continue teaching her how to be the best dog out there.

Meet Aurora! She is a yr old lab/boxer mix. She also LOVES water and her people! She is great with kids and other dogs! She has a high prey drive and would not do good in a house with small animals. She is kennel trained and house trained. She’s adventurous and a great climber so she needs a tall (5ft+) fence. Aurora has a great smile whenever she sees you! She is an absolute cuddle bug and would love to keep you warm. If this is the puppy for you, please fill out the questionnaire below. http://hsuv.org/pre-adoption-questionnaire

Story
I may be 8-years-old, but don’t let my age fool you – I’m still full of energy and ready to live life to the fullest! I’m a big fan of balls (throw one and I’m on it!) and love going for walks. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I’ll admit, I could use a little extra help with the whole “perfect walker” thing. But hey, I’m always eager to learn! I get along great with kids and I’m good with other dogs. I spent the weekend with a shelter foster who had a cat and once the cat corrected me (as I was VERY curious), I straightened right up! The foster said that she believes that a home with a dog-savvy cat would be just fine. She also reported that I got the hang of a doggy door fast (but had some accidents inside) and will need a little bit of training to be totally house trained. Because I lived my entire life outside, I relished being on the couch snoozing away all day when I was with her. I’m a super friendly and affectionate guy who enjoys cuddles and lots of attention. I’ve been living outdoors, so I’m still getting the hang of life indoors. A patient family who can teach me the ropes of inside living would be just what I need! I already know “sit” and “stay” like a pro, so I’m ready to learn even more tricks with the right person by my side. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and active companion, I might be your guy. Let’s go for a walk and see if we’re a match!

Story
Hi, I’m Ajax! I’m a 1-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of love and puppy energy. I absolutely love playing with balls – throw one, and I’m all over it! I can be a little jumpy when I get excited (which is pretty often), so if you're looking for a happy, enthusiastic companion who’s always ready to give affection, I’m your guy. I just can’t help myself when I want attention! I’m crate trained and house trained, but I’m still learning some of the other stuff like walking on a leash or following commands. I get distracted easily, but with the right treats (the yummier, the better), I’m super motivated to learn! It’s just going to take a little patience, but I’m eager to please, so I know I’ll catch on quickly. I’m really gentle with kids, but because I can get a bit jumpy when I’m excited, I think I’d do best with kids who are 5 or older – that way, I won’t accidentally knock them over in all my enthusiasm. I get along great with both dogs and cats, and I’d love to have some furry friends to play with. I would be so happy in a home with an active family who loves to run around, because I’ve got plenty of energy to burn! A big yard would be perfect for me to run and play, and I promise I’ll keep you entertained with my goofy antics. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and energetic pup to join your family, I can’t wait to meet you!
