Story
Ivy's puppies were born on January 4, 2023. Their mom is a lab mix and dad was either the wandering Great Pyrenees or the neighbor's Black Lab. They came to rescue at 5 weeks old and since then they have been introduced to life as a house dog. They love stuffed toys and have just learned about the joy of salmon and sweet potato jerky. Yummy! They are learning "how to dog" from their mama and the other adult dogs in the house. Since they are not yet fully vaccinated, they haven't been outside much, but are using potty pads. They love to help with chores like folding laundry, sweeping the floor and taking out the trash. These babies are so much fun and we can't wait to see what adventures they get up to with their forever families! The adoption fee for Ivy's puppies is $150. This includes all vaccines (4 Distemper/Parvo, 2 Lepto, a Rabies, and a Bordetella), appropriate dewormings, microchipping and the spay/neuter surgery when they are old enough. A link to our online application can be found at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/22197/generic   If you can see this post, we are still accepting applications.  Once the application window closes, it will take us afew days to process all the applications we receive. We will then be in touch to set up meet and greets with approved adopters.  The amount of applications we receive determines how long it takes us to process them all.  We will contact you by the email address you entered on the application, so please make sure it is correct. When adopting a puppy from a litter, we think it is best that approved adopters come meet the puppies and interact with them before choosing which puppy to adopt. You can’t learn much about a dog's personality from a picture, but you can learn a lot from sitting in the middle of a pile of puppies! From experience, we know that sometimes adopters pick one dog based on the pictures, but fall in love with another once meeting them. Applying to adopt from the litter instead of applying to adopt a particular puppy might not be the way all rescues work but we find it helps us do the best job of matching puppies with families.  Besides, this way, the puppies have a say too! You'd be surprised by how often the puppy picks their family. Hootie's Haven takes the responsibility of choosing forever homes for our dogs very seriously and always has the best interest of our dogs in mind. Our goal is to place each dog with families that will provide forever homes.  We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason and are not obligated to provide a reason. We also post updates on our Facebook page, so please make sure you have liked our page and are following it so that you will see the updates.  You can also go to our page to see other pictures or videos of our dogs.  https://www.facebook.com/hootieshaven   ##1646535##

Story
Baloo born on January 4, 2023. Mom is a lab mix and dad was either the wandering Great Pyrenees or the neighbor's Black Lab. Yummy! He is learning "how to dog" from their mama and the other adult dogs in the house. He is mindful of the cat. He loves to help with chores like folding laundry, sweeping the floor and feeding the donkey. He loves to chase the ball, but likes to stop at it and sit there until you come throw it again (great for anyone that is looking to exercise more in the new year, lol). He is a sweet boy and never forgets to give "thank you" kisses after being fed or given a treat.  His adoption fee is $150. This includes all vaccines (4 Distemper/Parvo, 2 Lepto, a Rabies, and a Bordetella), appropriate dewormings, microchipping and the spay/neuter surgery when they are old enough. Story
Minnie was born on January 4, 2023. Mom is a lab mix and dad was either the wandering Great Pyrenees or the neighbor's Black Lab. She is learning "how to dog" from their mama and the other adult dogs in the house. Minnie does great with the dog friendly cats in the house. She loves to follow them around and bring them her toys. She does know to back off when they get tired of her attention. Sheloves to help with chores like folding laundry (especially rolling in the fresh from the dryer dog laundry), sweeping the floor and dusting (she loves to try and steal the dust rag, lol). Minnie is incredibly sweet and loving. She's a velcro dog, following her foster mom everywhere, right at her feet. She loves giving drive by kisses as she wanders around. She is very good at playing by herself when the adult dogs are tired of her puppy energy. She is quite happy to toss a stuffed toy up in the air for herself or settle down with a chew bone. The adoption fee for Ivy's puppies is $150. This includes all vaccines (4 Distemper/Parvo, 2 Lepto, a Rabies, and a Bordetella), appropriate dewormings, microchipping and the spay/neuter surgery when they are old enough. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. After two years of boarding with a former rescue, Sadie has us as her temporary home! This lovely lady gets along like a champ with the boys but can be a bit choosy with her gal pals, smaller pups, and feline friends. Kids? She’s all in! While she’s not a hyperactive kangaroo, she does have tendency to pull on the leash but no worries—this clever cookie knows her basic commands and is making leash training look like a walk in the park! Sadie’s idea of a good time? Chewing on bones, playing fetch like a pro, and turning sniffing games into her personal adventure. Keeping that nose busy is her favorite pastime! Story
Mia was born on April 27th this year. We got her from a breeder and she appeared to be stand offish. She has been raised with two other labs, a 13 yr old and a 10 month old. The 13 yr old is not happy with her. Mia is a very high energy girl. She really needs some training and I was just diagnosed with MS. She is doing well with the kennel training so far. Still has some accidents but doing great for a 6 month old. Need to keep toys for her to chew on. As long as she has her toys she'll stay busy with those and not on other things. She just needs a lot more attention than I am able to provide. Very sweet girl.
