Story
Charlie is a sweet, energetic and loving pup! We adopted him from Nassau County Animal Services and they originally told us he was 2 but after taking him to the vet, they think he is closer to 9 months old. We do not know his previous story, we were told he was found on the side of the road. With us, he has been living with 3 small children and 1 older dog, and has done well overall. He does get too wild with the little kids and unfortunately that's why we need to re-home him. He would do well in a house without kids, with older kids or with 1 kid. He does fine with other dogs! We have been using K9 Pro for their in home training services and he has completed 6 sessions. He does extremely well with basic commands, leash walking and we are working on "stays" and "place". He loves playing fetch and going for walks. We haven't noticed anything that scares him. He is fully vaccinated and takes a monthly heartworm/flea/tick medication. We are hoping he will find the perfect owner or family.

Story
Meet Haze! We are so shocked that this handsome boy is still here with us! Haze knows basic commands such as sit, shake, and down! He is very stressed here at the shelter and can be quite rambunctious in his kennel but once he is out, he is a very low-key boy! Haze would likely do best in a home without other dogs as he can be reactive towards others. Haze is almost nine years old, around 57lbs, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, and ready to go home with you! Come meet Haze today! Here are some notes from Hazes sleepover: He really just wanted to snuggle on the couch and be a lap dog all day. He waited to be invited onto our couch, and he didn`t climb on any other furniture. We ate meals right next to him on the couch and he didn`t beg or try to steal anything. He is very housebroken, easy-going, and polite. Everything we did, he just followed us around and laid next to us while we did it. He is very calm and affectionate nature really surprised us because he`s often so high-energy when we see him at the shelter. If Haze could just be a couch potato in a home without other pets and his own yard, he would thrive! He just wants to be someone`s loyal lap dog.

Story
Meet Pedro Pascal! He is very friendly with people but has a lot of typical lab energy! Pedro Pascal is dog friendly but has shown to become overwhelmed with certain dogs, so would do best living in a home with a more lowkey dog. He would not do well in a home with small animals as he has shown to chase cats and lizards outside! He is around six years old, 80lbs, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, and ready to go home with you! Come meet Pedro Pascal today!

Meet Clyde! He came to us from another shelter where he was brought to after his owner was hospitalized. Clyde is a sweet boy who takes a moment to warm up but quickly comes around! He is looking for a new home and would make an amazing companion to someone looking for a chill, senior dog. He is around seven years old, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, and ready to go home! Come meet Clyde today!

Story
“Ginger” was given to me a year ago by my little brother. We are not sure of her mix. She’s a really sweet girl and loves kids. I am a single mom who works 10+ hours a day and i’m moving to a small apartment. I wish i had the time for her that she deserves but i know someone out there will take her in and love her as much as we do.
