Story
“I just love the wrinkles on your face!” - said no one ever about me, but THIS girl… oh my heart! Look at this smushy face baby! COOKIE is just over a year old and is a very shy girl. She was terrified in the shelter, curled into a ball facing the wall, trembling. After just a few weeks of TLC from a foster mom who adores her,  COOKIE has become brave enough to take long leash walks with her foster sister pups. She loves rolling in the dry grass and politely lets you know when it’s time for a belly rub.  She is very affectionate and loves for you to scratch her ears and wrinkles.  COOKIE needs a loving family who can patiently allow her to blossom Each day she becomes braver and tries new things that scare her. We are so proud of the progress she’s making and think it would be best if she starts attaching herself to her forever person instead of being so dependent on her foster mom for comfort and courage.  COOKIE gets along well with other dogs and would love another pup to play with. She might do best with a confident mature dog who can show her the ropes.  COOKIE will be spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated after this week and ready for her new home. Be aware that her foster mom will be VERY picky deciding which lucky family gets this gem. COOKIE is very loved   To Adopt COOKIE, please apply at www.buttsmutts.com. ##1968752##

Story
Bender is a playful, loving smooshy faced boy. He's muscular and strong but just wants to chill out with his favorite companions.   He seems to be just fine with other dogs but not in the sense he wants to wildly play, as he is a little older and his main goal seems to be wanting to be your loyal companion and  lavish his humans with love.   We expect he might be okay with cats but haven't formally tested him.   If you are looking for a chilled out dog Bender could lavish you with love!   He is excited when first exiting his kennel to go potty, but otherwise walks well on a leash!  To Foster or Adopt Bender, please apply at www.buttsmutts.com.  ##2211291##

Story
Rosie is all healed and looking for her forever family! Rosie was hit by a car back in November, breaking both her back legs along with a couple ribs. Rosie laid by a culvert with bone sticking out of her leg until a good Samaritan picked her up. Rosie’s owner never came forward and she joined our rescue. Rosie had 2 surgeries to repair her back legs and a long few month recovery — but both legs are now finally HEALED! It may take 6-8 weeks for her to get back to 100%, though she doesn’t know that. She gets around great, started doing zoomies and plays with the big dogs. She is free to just be a dog again without activity restriction. BASICS: — 9 months old — 40 pounds — Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped — Potty trained — Crate trained — Dog friendly PERSONALITY: Rosie is a snuggle bug. Very cuddly, loving, sensitive, precious girl. She will likely be very shy at first with both new humans and dogs, but once she warms up, you have a new best buddy. She loves to be with her people and will lay in your lap for cuddles if allowed. DOGS: Rosie is in foster with 3 large dogs. She does well with them all and loves to play. Rosie has also met a chihuahua and did fine, no negative reactions. The chihuahua growled at her and Rosie walked away. Suspicions are she would do fine with small dogs, too. Slow and proper intros with gradual integrations into new packs (whether big or small) would be needed - of course. CATS: Unknown. Suspicions are she would be fine with cats too, but the only real way to know is for her to live with them and slow/proper intros. KIDS: Rosie did very well with kids she met aged 7+!. Younger kids unknown. POTTY: Rosie is fully potty trained in her foster home, but a couple accidents in the beginning while getting the hang of a new place/schedule may or may not happen. CRATE: We just started with crate training and she is doing very well. Rosie is crate at bedtime and when the humans leave. Rosie is definitely a dog that needs to be crated when you leave for the foreseeable future. She is essentially still a puppy with a track record of eating things she is not suppose to. MISC: Rosie is more uneasy and fearful outside, jumpy at most noises, of course terrified of cars passing. She does great outside once she figures out it is a safe space outside (e.g. your backyard). Outdoor places in public settings though will be a gradual process of learning to feel safe again. She totally can - just a friendly heads up to future family that a walk in the park, for example, will likely be a nervous anxious outing for a while. Story
Goose is a sweetheart. He loves everyone but he also loves barking at unknown people, animals, and things. He loves being outside, giving hugs and playing with tennis balls. I wish we had more time for him but we don’t. He’s a good boy and so is his brother. I would love for them to be rehomed together if possible. They’ve been in our care since they were tiny puppies. The adoption fee is covering the food, bowls, toys, etc that will go with him.
