Meet Bruce — Our Loving 6-Year-Old Pup Who Needs a New Home It breaks our hearts to rehome our sweet boy, Bruce, but my medically complex, highly allergic mom is moving in, and we’ve been trying to find the right home for months. I’m also physically disabled & just found out I’m pregnant. About Bruce: 6 years old, about 80 lbs. Medium energy — loves walks and fetch but also enjoys long naps. Crate trained, house trained, and great with kids (ages 6–19) Lives peacefully with cats and has previously lived with another dog who sadly passed away. Loyal, affectionate, and playful (but also chill) 💚 What He Loves: Playing fetch in the yard/house, chewing his bones, cuddling next to you on the couch, and relaxing in his own bed when it’s time to wind down. He goes on two ¾-mile walks daily al but would also do well with a fenced yard or space to run. Comes With: Large crate, beds, food, food container, and bowl — everything he needs to settle right in!

Baylor can't wait to meet you! He's a fun, playful, happy dog looking for a family of his very own! Baylor loves toys, chewbones, and of course treats!! He loves to go on long walks, fetch balls, play with other dogs, but no kitties please because he thinks they're fun to pester. Couches are definitely his favorite spot for napping... he's a cuddler! At two years old and forty five pounds, he's the perfect medium size! He knows sit, paw and "kennel" when it's time to go in his crate. He's a smart boy and eager to learn. Come meet Baylor and be prepared to fall in love!! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet the A Litter! Abbi and her 2 sisters just recently came into our program and are ready to find their forever families. These three 2-month-old girls are believed to be Black Lab and Pit mixes, and they are bursting with playful energy and sweet personalities. While we can’t say for certain what their exact mix is, one thing is clear — they are 100% lovable! These sisters are curious, bouncy, and always ready for fun. They love to romp around together, chase toys, and then settle in for cuddles once playtime is over. Their affectionate and happy-go-lucky nature makes them a joy to be around. Based on their current size, we estimate they’ll grow to be around 30–45 lbs when fully grown, though that’s just our best guess since they’re still tiny babies. Like all puppies, they will need: • Patience and consistency with potty training • Socialization and positive new experiences • Basic training and structure • Daily playtime, exercise, and enrichment With love, guidance, and commitment, these girls will grow into loyal, affectionate companions. If you’re ready for puppy kisses, playful zoomies, and nonstop tail wags, one of these sweet sisters could be your perfect match! Abbi est. birth date is 11/28/2025 and has been spayed, microchipped and given all age appropriate vaccines and preventions. Abbi have an adoption fee of $340. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about the A Litter, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Violetta is the definition of "gentle." While she can be a little shy when first meeting new friends, it doesn’t take long for her true, loving personality to shine through. Why Violetta is the perfect roommate: • House Trained: She’s already a pro at potty training! She also knows some commands and is eager to please and get pets and treats. • Crate Enthusiast: She loves her "den" and will even hoard her favorite toys in there for safekeeping. • Social Butterfly: She gets along great with other dogs and has a lovely play style. • Leash Pro: Walking her is a breeze; she’s easy and relaxed on a leash. Violetta is looking for a patient home where she can continue to blossom and show off her toy collection. If you have a soft spot for quiet dogs with big hearts (and even bigger underbites), she might be your perfect match! Apply to meet this gem of a girl today - don't mis out !! Story
Meet Annie!! Annie is a one-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix that exudes happiness. She came to Furkids after her previous owners could no longer care for her due to their busy schedules. Annie is a very sweet and very smart girl. She loves people and other dogs. She is super friendly and loves to go everywhere with her person. She loves car rides whether it's to go get pup cups or to go on adventures. She is amazing on leash too. She would thrive with an active home that can keep her busy and engaged. A fenced-in yard would be perfect for her to play fetch or to run and play. She is great with larger dogs around her size but may chase smaller pets (out of curiosity), so she’d do best in a home without cats or small animals. Annie would also prefer a home without very small children as she may accidentally knock them over. She loves to cuddle on the couch after a walk and has slept in bed with her prior owners. She loves toys and antlers. She is food motivated and eager to please. She is just terrific and DOES NOT HAVE the crazy high energy that is typically associated with this breed. She is very loyal and is a velcro dog (she likes to be by your side). Annie is house trained, crate trained and ready to go!! Annie weighs 47lbs and her est. birth date is 01/16/2025. She has been spayed, microchipped and given all age appropriate vaccines and preventions. Annie has an adoption fee of $510. If you want to know more about Annie, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only.
