Story
Hi there, I'm Shy! I got my name from my legendary adventure. I once followed a water hose all the way to the city pool. I jumped in, thinking it was a giant water bowl! The lifeguard, not a fan of my doggy paddle, called the shelter. Now, I'm here, making friends and learning new tricks. I'm brave, sweet, curious, smart, cuddly, funny, energetic, friendly, goofy, gentle, and loyal. I'm a water pup at heart, always ready for a splash. If you're looking for a wet-nosed companion with a tale that'll make you chuckle, I'm your guy!

Story
This litter is dubbed the Armadillo Road litter, which is the road they were born on with their mom. Their mom was owned by not so good people who didn't feed or care that she had litter after litter. They didn't care what happened to the mom or the babies. We were called by a concerned neighbor when the temperature climbed well into the 100s - it was just too hot for mom to nurse and maintain sanity. She was frantic and trying to constantly move the babies...sometimes only moving half and leaving others behind. Because of this the babies were very dehydrated and sick from worms. We decided the best thing to do as to take the babies (4 weeks old) get them safe and let mom stay with the neighbors who feed her to dry up so she could get spayed. She was spayed in July and no more babies for that girl, and now her babies are ready to find a new home. Mom was a lab mix and we presume one of the dads was possibly a chih mix as these pups are pretty small for moms size. No matter what they are they are adorable and sweet as pie. They all share food together without fussing and are super social and happy with dogs and people. If you think these babies would be a good addition to your family please fill out the application at https://shorturl.at/syCM3 to get started. They will be chipped, current on vaccinations and dewormed. You will be responsible for spay and/or Neuter at 6 to 10 months of age. They are too young at this time.SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. Story
Maverick is a meaty boy that is super sweet and loves to give hugs to anyone that will accept them from him. He has been absolutely perfect since coming to the rescue and gets along with all the dogs he's in a run with during the day. He has shown nothing but love to anyone that has interacted with him. We're unsure if he has ever been around cats, kids, or is he's been in a house before so his housetraining status is unknown. He can be cat tested at one of the volunteer/foster's house in order to see how he does with them. If you want your own personal couch hippo that'll snuggle on your couch and give you all the love you could ever want, please put an application in on Maverick, you won't regret it.SGER FAQs:We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.Your information in our application is not shared and is protocol for adoption. Story
Waylon was rescued by one of our awesome volunteers a few years ago. Sadly, no one reached out to claim him. He was vetted and adopted. However, his family is now moving and do not have accommodations for him. Sadly, he was heartworm positive on arrival. However, Waylon will be treated by our medical team before his adoption is finalized. In the meantime he is available to go home with you as a foster to adopt. Waylon is a bigger boy, so probably not your average lap dog. We believe though that he would be happy to share your space on the couch and watch TV with you. We are not sure of Waylon`s housebreaking status, but he is eager to please and very smart. Come and meet this handsome guy for yourself. We are open 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Waylon is neutered, microchipped and current on core vaccines.

Story
It`s sad how often litters are surrendered to animal control facilities. Hephaestus and his siblings were no exception. Happily they all came to us and all found homes. Unfortunately Hephaestus was recently surrendered because his family did not have time for him. Do you have lots of time to spend with a puppy? Do you have the patience for training a juvenile? If you answered yes, then this handsome boy is waiting for you! Come and meet Hephaestus 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. He is neutered, microchipped and current on core vaccines. You know that saying? Go big or go home. We say go big and go home with a new friend. Hephaestus is sociable, friendly, outgoing, housebroken and has done will with other dogs. What are you waiting for?

Story
Little Clementine was surrendered by her owner after living there for 3 years. Sadly, the new addition to the family had severe allergies, so she could not stay. Clementine is a good girl, a little reserved right now, but would undoubtedly light up if she had a family again. She is good with children and other dogs, housetrained and crate trained. What more could you ask for? Come and meet our darling Clementine. We are open 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Clementine is spayed, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms.
