Story
Meet Dave!! Dave and Guns were found in a small town in Georgia (parking lot of a Dollar General). They are a bonded pair and seem to have been together for a long time. They would be okay separated, but we would LOVE to keep them together. When the rescue was trying to catch them, Dave ran right to the rescuer. Guns however had to be trapped. Dave got back to the rescue and was warmed and fed and about an hour later, we received the call that Guns had finally gotten in the trap. So, we turned around and went back for Guns. When we got to him, he was pretty scared in the trap (especially without his best friend Dave) but once he got to the rescue and realized he was reunited with Dave, Guns lit up, danced and licked Dave's face like he hadn't seen him in years!! They are SO happy together. Please consider adopting both!! Please contact Deep South Canine Rescue for further information.

Story
Meet Tucker! Tucker came to us around Christmas time last year. One of our fosters took her daughter to the doctor and saw him across the street super skinny eating out of a garbage bag. Despite everything he has been through, he approached her without hesitation. After being sure he did not have a microchip. He was neutered, given all of his shots and tested for Heartworms. Unfortunately, he was positive. So while he waited for his heartworm treatment, We worked with him to get him into the perfect home, This boy is crate trained, Leash trained, And For the most part house trained, He listens to basic commands. He goes into his crate when he’s told if you tell him kennel, he will go in his kennel as well.. He love love loves children, Being pet playing ball and playing with other dogs.If you were looking for your number one, best friend, look no further, Because you have found him! He is almost ready for his new home, close to the end of his heartworm treatment, and he will be ready to go to his new homes soon! If you’re interested, please submit an application

Story
This is Sarahfina, a 1-2 year old black labrador that looks very close to pure bred.  She was picked up as a stray and not reclaimed.  She had an eye injury or infection that was not treated - we removed her eye because it was not see through it and it was causing her discomfort.  It has not affected her in any way.  She is a wonderful dog with an excellent disposition.  She loves everyone and would be an excellent therapy dog-she loves kids and is good with other pets.  She is up to date with shots, spayed, negative for heartworms/on prevention and crate trained.  She also knows some basic commands.  If you would like to make her your newest family member, please visit our website at www.myhstc.org and complete an adoption application. Her adoption fee is $85 and includes all veterinary care If you have never adopted from us before, we prescreen all applicants prior to a meeting.  To be screened, please visit www.myhstc.org and complete an adoption application.
