Story
Senior Blonde Divorcee looking for her Golden Bachelor who is ready to settle down. Hi I am Ella!  I am a one-man woman and don't like to share. I love to be by your side walking under the stars, taking long drives, and cuddling with my partner. Some call me clingy, as I do not like being alone, and would much prefer being with my partner at all times. I am a homebody and am set in my ways, so I love my routine. If you think you could be my forever partner, let me know. I am a medium sized lady (52 pounds) and am about 9 years old. Ella's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, vaccinations and microchip. Story
Please contact Lea (maxxandmerescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsBogart Boy! The scars that cover his entire emaciated body hint at the life Bogie had before he was saved by us. Bogart was a street dog and we had gotten a call to help a starving, emaciated dog who was spotted for weeks out. We set a trap and noticed something very disturbing on our camera footage. Bogart's penis was fully degloved, had open wounds on it and he was in a critical state as he must be caught or he could face an amputation or death of the exposed organ. Patiently we waited and for two days hoped this emaciated boy would go in and finally he did. We immediately took him to the shelter to register him as a stray in the event he had an owner and to get immediate ER attention. He was dehydrated, went on IVS, antibiotics and other meds while the doctor and staff desperately tried to help fix his penis and save it. Finally after a few days the skilled vet was able to work the skin over and fix his injury that was a result of some unknown trauma. He has scars all over his head, legs and body, one of his ears is shredded and is heartworm positive. Despite all of this he is a sweet, gentle boy and nervous.  Bo needs a loving, calm home as an only dog. He has been torn up so much we want this senior boxer mix boy estimated +/- 9 years to live out his final years ensconced in love and peace. Loud noises startle him and even something as simple as throwing a ball made him run and try to scale a fence as he was startled. He needs a secured, fenced yard and a quiet/low key home. Bogart has a long way to go but he is doing remarkably well for all he has endured. He had a temp foster for a few days and he insisted on laying on the bed by her feet♥&#239&#184&#143 He loves a lot of soft blankets and cozy beds...the more the better! Bogart is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption donation is $300 Maxx & Me is an all-volunteer, all foster home rescue and do not have a shelter. Please allow at least 48 hours for applications to be processed (missing information may slow the process, so please take your time and be thoughtful in your answers). We place dogs based on best home for each dog and not order of applications received. Email us at maxxandmerescue@gmail.com for updates and questions. Story
Arya is a 1.5 year old Lab mix looking for her forever home. She is very shy at first, but give her a chance and you’ll have a happy Velcro dog.  Arya would be best with a patient and/or an active playmate if there is one in the house.  Arya loves to nap on her person if they let her.  Her favorite toys are her squeaky tennis balls and chew toys. Arya has amazing crate and leash manners! She does well with the mental challenges of learning new things, such as "sit", "down", and "go to place", and loves to focus her energy on learning new tricks and challenges. Arya is very food motivated.  While Arya does well with adults, older kids, and dogs, she has not been cat tested. Looking for love in 2024? Arya is your girl!Arya's adoption fee is $450 and includes her spay, vaccinations, and microchip. Story
Meet the King of Belly Rubs!! Riley is our ~4 year old silly boy from the street. He was found as a stray, but quickly turned into a wonderful work from home co-worker, expert  tv watcher, and walking companion. Riley does best with slow introductions, but once he is comfortable he is great with humans, cats, and dogs! He is great with dogs of all sizes. He isn't necessarily a dog park dog, but he does love to play with other dogs and would love a doggie friend in the home to play with! Riley was originally heartworm positive, but has since gone through treatment and is now heartworm negative and a healthy boy again. Riley is fully house trained and is an all around good boy! He is a big time snuggler who loves affection and belly rubs! He can't wait to meet his forever family! ##1480510##

Story
Cairo is a beautiful black lab mix who is just over a year old. She came to us as a stray from Pasco County Animal Services in early October. She had been hit by a car and suffered multiple fractures in her pelvis and back leg. Her fractures have been surgically repaired, but she is still currently on cage rest as she heals. Once she fully heals, she will be an active, young dog. She is very friendly, and her forever family will need to ensure that her level of activity does not exacerbate her previous injuries. Her family will need to ensure she stays on top of annual vet exams and be mindful that she may deal with future orthopedic conditions like arthritis. Cairo is around 40 lbs full grown, which makes her the perfect addition for a family looking for a loving, medium-sized dog. Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
I got Levy about three years ago from a breeder here in Florida. Levy is just over three years old at this time. I just want someone to be able to love him the way he deserves. Levy is a very special boy, and it breaks my heart that I am unable to keep him. I have been battling with this for quite some time. Levy is goofy and loving. He is always up to play or cuddle. Levy is trained on a shock collar and is getting much better being around other dogs. Levy can be GREAT with other dogs, but he has a good amount of anxiety around new dogs also. Levy is also crate trained (as he WILL get into trouble if left by himself). It's important to note that Levy has been around, lived with and gotten along with many other dogs. Levy's "aggression" towards other dogs is only during walks when he sees a dog that he isn't familiar to him.

Story
The Florida Hurricanes resulted in many people losing their jobs. This pup was brought to me to foster by a young couple who had lost their jobs and were barely able to feed themselves and pay their rent. They felt it wasn't fair to the dog to keep her crated all day long while they were job hunting and taking odd jobs to pay the bills. I've had her for a few weeks. She's very sweet, loves to cuddle and gives kisses! She is housebroken, knows a few commands, and loves to close to her human. Can you offer Lucy a loving home? She will be an Awesome Cuddle Buddy!

Story
Please visit our website for more information on the foster/adoption process and to complete a foster/adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Seeking an experience adopter for a sweet girl with seizures. Ellie, a charming and gentle pup, has unfortunately found herself in a challenging situation. This sweet girl was saved from being euthanized after her owner could not take her with her when moving and could no longer afford her care. Ellie's medical history includes epilepsy, a condition that we believe may have been triggered by a traumatic experience during her spaying procedure at the age of two months. Despite this setback, Ellie has shown remarkable resilience and continues to thrive. Her amiable nature extends to both canine and feline companions, making her an ideal addition to a multi-pet household. Ellie is also well-trained, displaying excellent leash manners, although she occasionally exhibits a playful stubbornness that adds to her charm. One of Ellie's favorite pastimes is basking in the warmth of the sun, a testament to her easy-going and mellow demeanor. Her gentle disposition is further evidenced by her frosty face, which reflects her kind and compassionate nature. We are actively seeking a forever home for Ellie, preferably with individuals or families who are frequently present and can provide her with the love and attention she deserves. Additionally, we hope to find a home that is familiar with managing seizures or is willing to learn about this condition and provide the necessary care. Ellie currently relies on medication to manage her seizures, and we will ensure a continuous supply of these medications when she finds her forever home. It is important to note that Ellie may experience some initial anxiety and pacing in a new environment, but this behavior typically subsides within a day or so as she adjusts to her surroundings. We remain committed to providing Ellie with the utmost care and support during her time with us, and we look forward to finding her a loving and suitable forever home where she can thrive and enjoy the companionship she deserves. Please visit our website for more information on the adoption process and to complete an adoption application. https://www.pawliferescuegroup.org/adoption-resources Tosin's journey started as a stray at Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center and was on the euthanasia list. Tosin is a 2-year-old bundle of joy, brimming with love, energy, and loyalty! This sweet boy is looking for a forever family that’s active, patient, and ready to keep up with his playful nature. ✅ What Tosin loves: Peanut butter 🥜 Chew toys 🦴 Walks (his absolute favorite!) 🚶‍♂️ Although Tosin has made great progress with leash training, he could use a little more practice to fully perfect his skills. He’s especially great with younger children, but at a solid 74lbs, his gentle giant personality might be better suited for a family with older kids who can handle his size. Tosin is treat-motivated, loves being around people, and thrives with one-on-one attention. While he can be a little anxious around other dogs, he’s happiest being the only pup in the household. If you think Tosin could be a perfect match for your family, please submit an application to meet this handsome, loving boy! 💙 Let’s help Tosin find the home he deserves! 🏡 Located in Pinellas County, Florida

Story
Meet Shadow, a loyal and affectionate companion who lives up to his name by staying by your side wherever you go. Shadow thrives on being with his family, happily following you from room to room and keeping you company throughout the day. His favorite activities include cuddling, snuggling, and showing his playful side with zoomies in the yard, especially when he has a dog friend to chase. Shadow is an excellent watchdog, alerting you to any visitors or animals that might be around. He is naturally submissive and playful with other dogs. While he may be best suited for a home with older children or adults, he’s eager to build a bond with his new family. Shadow does have some anxiety, particularly when on a leash, which can make walks a bit challenging. However, he feels much more comfortable in a secure, fenced yard where he can explore freely. With the right environment and a family that understands his quirks, Shadow will be the perfect, loving companion!  Shadow’s ideal owners would be: Patient and understanding: Someone who can gently help him manage his anxiety, especially around new stimuli. Have a fenced yard: He thrives in a large, secure yard where he can run freely without the need for a leash. Adults or families with older children: Best suited for homes without small children, but he could do well with older, respectful kids. Homebodies or work-from-home: He loves spending time with his family and will be happiest in a home where someone is around often. Experienced dog owners: Ideally, someone who understands how to work with a dog that has leash anxiety and can provide a calm, structured environment. ##2177020##
