Story
We rescued Roscoe from the Jacksonville ACPS. Sadly, he was found in a dumpster at Dominos pizza. He was about 1 year old, and was already house trained, or a tremendously fast learner! We have had Roscoe for nearly 4 years now. He is an extraordinarily well behaved dog! He is very gentle and obedient with all humans. He may occasionally bark at a cat or dog passing by in the window, but that’s as bad as it gets! He is a dog park veteran and gets along with all dogs. He does great in the backyard with his duties. He LOVES to fetch the ball, more than anything! To really make his life great, all we ask is that his next family can give him time for this daily. He is extremely active, but can chill with the best of them too! We have had no issues with Roscoe, at all. We are transitioning into a situation where we will be unable to give him the time he deserves. For that reason, we must regretfully rehome him to a place he deserves, with a family who deserves him.

Story
Sienna has quite a story to tell for such a young girl! This beautiful medium sized whom we believe to be a Lab/Vizsla mix was found in a field delivering puppies. A kind person took her to Jax Animal Care and Protective Services where she gave birth to a total of five puppies with only one who survived. She and her baby remained in the office of one of the staff members while they became stronger and healthier. The baby has now been adopted to an adorable family with four children so now it's time for Sienna to also find her forever home. As you can see from her photos, Sienna is totally happy and unstressed in her foster's home with two large dogs and a small one too. She loves playing with them, being outside running and wrestling, going for daily walks with the pack and loves to run, run, run!! She is a bit shy when she first meets people, obviously a hangover from her previous life, but in no time at all, she feels comfortable and happy to meet a new friend. She loves, loves, loves to wrestle with the larger dogs and will do so for hours so she needs to be in a home with another young and high energy dog too so they can both wear each other out and then fall asleep on the sofa. She still has some puppy behaviors but is doing very well in learning house manners, is housetrained and is a total love bug. Her foster keeps her closed off in the kitchen and dining area rather than crate her because of her energy and she is very happy chewing on appropriate chew toys and stuffed animals. She loves to snuggle and sleep in bed with her foster in very relaxed positions as you can see from her pictures. Sienna is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, current on all vaccinations, wormed and microchipped. She is one loving little girl who deserves a wonderful home with loads of loving and sofa times too! Her new family MUST have a large, fenced yard and another medium-large size young and very active dog as a playmate who loves to run and wrestle, someone home much of the day, no children under 8 because she is still learning not to jump on people and someone who can walk her daily. She is very smart, a quick learner and GREAT will provide two training sessions to help her learn to be the best girl she can be in her new home. If you feel Sienna is the girl for you, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete an adoption application or call 904-874-7689 or our Rescue hotline at 904-501-6899 with questions.

Story
Caesar is the result of a large black Lab and a Husky. I got him at about 6 weeks old and it is very hard for me to let him go but I have too due to changing workplaces. his birthdate is June 25, 2024 so that makes him 6 months old. His personality is very energetic so he needs lots of time to be able to run around in a yard, with someone on walks or runs, another dog to play with, or time to play. He doesn’t bite but he will teeth you, this is likely due to his age and will grow out of it but when he gets very excited he may try to put your hand in his mouth if you go to pet him. But he won’t bite you. If he gets frustrated he may try to slap you. It’s the funniest thing in the world but it can be annoying if you’re trying to do something. His tail is very energetic and he is Happy go Lucky. He has very few cares in the world besides food, attention/playing, and napping. He is Semi-trained. He knows (Sit, Lay-down, Stay, Has a great recall by himself, and crate trained)

Story
Chip | 1.5 year | 57lbs | Mixed breed Hey there, my name is Chip! I was hand selected for K9s For Warriors service dog program from Suwannee County Animal Shelter and passed all my initial tests with flying colors! Since arriving at K9s in June of 2024, I've decided I would rather be a family companion over having to work for a living - due to being a bit too high drive for service dog work. I am an affectionate gal who can always be found in high spirits ready for my next activity or adventure! I absolutely adore playing chase with my humans and bond quickly by doing so. I do not discriminate when it comes to toys, having lots of options to keep my brain and body busy are super important to me! I am crate trained, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and eagerly waiting for my forever home! If you are considering adopting Chip, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and hope we can help find your new furever friend!
