Story
Looking for a big boy who's a calm, very sweet, a snuggle bunny, obedient and oh, so well behaved? Well, look no further because Charlie is the boy for you. This very handsome Labrador Retriever also has a "Golden Retriever heart" and is living the good life with his foster girlfriend, Olive, and goes to Brew Hound often during the week to meet new friends and enjoy doggie adventures. Part of that adventure is being able to ride in the car and watch the sites as they role by. Never one to bark needlessly or jump on people, Charlie is about the perfect boy for a family who would love an all-around amazing dog for their new best friend. He does very well in the house, loves his girlfriend, Olive, enjoys snuggling and also laying in the yard, especially during this wonderful Autumn weather, to catch some rays. He is very well behaved, He is one chill boy who is as gentle as a lamb, yet his size gives him the appearance of being a very active large boy. He has been enjoying life in his foster home with his friend Olive and enjoys the ride to Brew Hound where he can meet and greet some new friends, both two and four legged. Charlie is a champ in the house with no counter surfing or chewing, is totally housebroken, crate trained but it's really not needed and a major cuddle bug. He minds very well, rides nicely in the car, just sitting and watching the traffic go by, he's gentle upon meeting people and calls just about everyone friend, two and four legged! He has been tested with cats and appears to be interested but not aggressive. Charlies is about three years old, heartworm negative, neutered, current on all vaccinations, microchipped and wormed. He enjoys going for walks and is still learning how to pull less so is not a good choice for a senior person. His new home should be one with another like size dog for a companion, someone who is home much of the day, has a fenced yard, someone who can walk him daily and no children under 5. If you would like this very handsome, gentle soul to be your new best friend, please go to www.greatrescue.org to complete an adoption application. Questions, call 904-703-8348 or our Rescue hotline at 904-501-6899. A boy this loving and sweet won't be available for very long so don't waste a minute.

Story
Buster is the most resilient, determined, and loving pup you will ever meet. He loves being with his people, getting head scratches, and exploring the yard. Sadly, his life wasn’t always so great; while living as a stray in the Bahamas, Buster was hit by a car and suffered a spinal injury that left him paralyzed. After a month of dragging his hind legs through the streets, alone and trying to survive, some wonderful people found him and got him the help he so desperately needed. After he was stabilized, they flew him to the states so he could be seen by veterinary specialists and find his furever home! Buster may not have use of his back legs anymore, but that doesn’t slow him down. When you put him in his wheel chair, he is unstoppable (just watch your toes, as REALLY, nothing stops him)! As a paralyzed pup, he needs a little extra help, but within minutes of meeting him you’ll see that he is absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a best friend that will love you unconditionally for years to come, look no further than Busterino. . Story
Knyxy is a 4 year old silver lab who needs a loving home and family to take care of her as we no longer have the means to give her an environment she deserves. She would do best in an active house but not necessary if walked twice daily. Ideally should be the only dog, but might be okay with other large dogs. She needs your love, patience, and individual attention. With continued at home training and consistent exercise, Knyxy is a great dog to have. She loves to chasing after the ball, swimming and running, car rides and gets excited when she gets to tag along on errands. She is a highly food-motivated dog who will perform all of her tricks for a snack which could just be an ice cube or a treat. She’s a very smart dog and knows sit, down, crawl, paw, wait, come, spin and drop it. She is house trained and crate trained. You will fall in love with her as she loves to get her head pet and belly rubs. We will provide whatever food that remains, bowls, toys, crate, clothes, and medicine.

Story
Meet handsome Haze! He`s an adult dog and medium-sized, with a black coat and a big smile. He walks well on his leash, and he knows how to sit, stay, and lie down for treats. He`s also housetrained. He needs a home with no other pets and no kids younger than 12. He`s a real Florida dog -- this is an active guy who loves the water! He`s already neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots, and ready to go home with you. Please come let our staff introduce you to Haze! Some notes from his sleepover! He really just wanted to snuggle on the couch and be a lap dog all day. He waited to be invited onto our couch, and he didn`t climb on any other furniture. We ate meals right next to him on the couch and he didn`t beg or try to steal anything. He is very housebroken, easy-going, and polite. Everything we did, he just followed us around and laid next to us while we did it. He is very calm and affectionate nature really surprised us because he`s often so high-energy when we see him at the shelter. If Haze could just be a couch potato in a home without other pets and his own yard, he would thrive! He just wants to be someone`s loyal lap dog.

She gets along with bigger dogs but not so much smaller barking dogs. My fiance passed away about a year ago and I now have the responsibility of 3 dogs and a cat by myself. I just don't feel like I am able to give them the love and attention they need. I am looking for a family that will be able to give Xena the love and attention she deserves.
