Story
I got Reese when I was in high school and I am now in my sophomore year of college. The reason why I am giving him away is so he has a big yard to play in instead of being cooped up in an apartment and I also do not have time for him because of college. Reese is about to turn 3 on April 5th of 2025. This new home has to have a big yard and a lot of resources for him. Reese is cute, nice, loving, and fun. I will get his shots updated before he leaves

Story
Kobe has been a longtime friend of the family. We love him and will miss him but he needs a new home cause we will be moving to an apartment soon that doesn't allow dogs. He lovable, still acts like a baby. He has been with our family for 10 years and has been an amazing dog. He loves to play and cuddle. He is very aware when you are sick because he loves to check up on you when your sick and he is very aware of people's emotions. Of your sad, he gets sad, if your happy he gets happy. You won't be disappointed................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Story
Meet Sunshine! This sweet, silly Labrador blend is 4 years old and weighs 45 lbs. This playful pup will brighten your day with kisses, belly rubs, and love forever. General Behavior: Sunshine is a sweet, loving, playful, and energetic pooch. She gives endless kisses and adores belly rubs.  Likes & Dislikes: Sunshine loves playing, romping around in the yard, and snuggling with her humans. Training: Silly Sunshine has good basic manners and is housetrained. She enjoys napping in her designated cozy area and rides well in the car. She is still working on her leash-walking skills and sharing her toys with other pups. Medical: This big-hearted gal needs the pressure points on her paws cleaned from time to time, and she can't bend her "wrists" on one leg after an surgery to correct an old injury. But other than that, she just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Sunshine is good with other dogs of all sizes (although she might be a bit too playful for some small dogs). She can be a bit shy at first, but quickly warms up to other furry friends. She even gets along with cats. Children: Sunshine has not been observed around children yet, but she will probably need a home without small children as she is a very active gal who could knock them over. Older kids (10+) are okay. Home: A single-family home with a securely fenced yard and an active family would be perfect for Miss Sunshine! As long as she gets the exercise and attention she needs, she is sure to thrive! Grooming: Sunshine does not require much grooming apart from the occasional bath and nail trim when needed. Overall: Sunshine will be a wonderful companion for someone who is active and ready for lots of adventures and cuddles. Could you use some Sunshine on a cloudy day? Could Sunshine be your girl? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org, where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with her foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption donation is $275. ##1538120##

Story
Meet Athena! Athena is a beautiful 2-year-old pure breed Labrador Retriever, a spayed female with so much love to give. Athena was surrendered by her owner because they couldn't afford to take care of her and wanted a better life for her. Athena is seeking a foster home with few to no dogs. She does not do well with our pack. She is good with little dogs from our observation and cats. She is good with children but would do best in a house with older children because of her size and her tendency to excitably jump. Athena is very smart and knows the most common commands and tricks. She does need to lose weight so weekly exercise is important. Athena is growing her fur back from a flea allergy. Athena has a very great temperament. Athena has separation anxiety. When left alone she can't hold her bladder unless she is crated or has a diaper on. She will need someone that either works from home or is willing to work on this anxiety with her.  ##2135365##

Story
Volunteer Notes:I was incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to take Autumn (A556496) out for a Doggie Day Out. Her genuine personality beamed all day with both me and my husband. She delighted in playing fetch with the ball in the backyard and running around exploring. Autumn wisely chose her own toys from the bin, opting for the more durable chew toys. While she liked chewing them, she easily left them behind when called. Autumn was a bundle of affection all day. In a heartbeat, I found her leaning against me, craving closeness in my lap. She certainly made me feel treasured and appreciated, but all she needs right now is to be showered with love.Autumn is a remarkable leash walker through the neighborhood, demonstrating her ability to sit on command and learn new commands through positive reinforcement. She exemplifies perfect behavior in public, warmly greeting everyone she meets. Our visit to Starbucks for a pupcup and Andy`s Frozen Custard was a highlight of her day, bringing her immense happiness and us immense delight. What resonated with me about Autumn was the unconditional love she shared with both me and my husband throughout the day. Her adorable expressions, marked by lively eyes and forehead wrinkles, were absolutely captivating. Autumn`s desire for cuddles and affection was heartwarming, and by day`s end, she was peacefully sprawled out on the backseat of the car, exhausted.Autumn will undoubtedly win your heart with her loving and affectionate nature, just as she has won mine. I invite you to spend time with her and experience the profound love she has to offer. What I observe when I take Autumn offsite is a personality filled with love, intelligence, calmness, and a zest for enrichment. She gets along with all men, women, and children, displaying the best manners meeting my neighbors. Although she may be seen pulling or jumping when leaving her kennel at the shelter, those behaviors are nonexistent offsite. She takes extended walks on a leash without pulling, and she does the same on lake walks. Autumn will let her nose lead while displaying excellent leash manners. Autumn thrives on enrichment, whether it be from her human or independent play. She`ll play fetch and drop the ball with a command and treat (still learning to drop it). She loves unlocking puzzle toys, locking PB from a `lick pad` or chewing durable toys that squeak.Others have said she does not do well in a crate. I

Story
From her foster mom: Carlie is a sweetheart wrapped into a small package. She is a level 4 clinger and wants to be by your side all the time. She would prefer to be an only dog or at least your most affectionate dog. The only resource she is interested in guarding is affection. She will bully another dog away from you in order to have her favorite spot at your feet. That said, she will not bother another dog in the yard and has shown no interest in the cats. As long as she is right next to you. Although she may be older, she has the energy of a puppy and can run and play with the best of them. Please consider providing Carlie a human of her own in 2025.Volunteer Notes: Carlie (A559531) was my bestie for a Doggie Day Out. Wait! Is she really a tiger with her perfect brindle coloring? She`s been known to jump and twist like a dolphin in her kennel to grab your attention. So is she a dolphin? Nope! Sweet Carlie is definitely a dog who has been known to hunt only lizards in the yard. She did take time from hunting to enjoy her peanut butter enrichment and a fun walk around the neighborhood. I had the pleasure of observing a truly inspiring senior dog, whose energy levels rivaled those of a much younger dog! She delighted in playing fetch with the football and, when not resting beside you, pursued lizard-hunting with gusto. Her day was capped off perfectly with a scrumptious homemade custard cone from Andy`s and a pupcup. Come visit this amazing girl to discover the full extent of her sweetness and loving personality.
