Story
Meet Bumble Bee (Bumble) with Plenty of Pit Bulls. We are not sure about her past, either abuse or lack of human interactions that turned this lovely gal into a timid and slow to trust being. However, once she trusts you and gets familiar with her surroundings, she is a loving, goofy, dog who is eager to please and quick to learn. Bumble will take treats and play with almost anyone while still keeping her do not pet me please rule. Bumble needs a trusting and patient human who will help her adjust to new environments (both in and around her home). Bumble adores her cat brother and has learned to be braver when he is around. He helped her take her first leash walk, navigate the stairs and is helping her get used to her crate. Bumble is very gentle; she lets the cat eat her food (but has learned to not eat the cat’s food). She would benefit from a four-legged sibling to help her be brave, either a well-adjusted/friendly dog or a dog friendly cat. Bumble has made extraordinary progress over the last few months. Every day she gets a little braver, trusts a little more, and with patience she will continue to flower into the fantastic family dog she was meant to be.November 6, 2024, 1:41 am

Story
Hello there, I am Crocs! I am a groovy, quirky older fellow who will always keep you laughing! I am a collector of toys and will hoard tennis balls, and if I hear you squeak one of my toys I will prance up to you, remove it from your clutches, and return it to its proper place on my bed. After I sniff every inch of you and determine you are a good egg, I will back my booty up to you and ask you to give me scratches. My back legs go crazyyy when I start getting good back scratches! Even though I still have lots of pep, I also settle down so nicely and love to take long afternoon snoozes. I know sit and seem to be fully housebroken, and I`m so gentle when accepting snacks. I thought the younger whippersnapper dogs were annoying before, but I`m starting to loosen up in playgroups and can actually be a silly goose myself. I would love to spend my golden years with my own collection of toys and a big ole cozy bed, so please make me the king of your castle! Let`s meet today!I am currently in a foster home. Please email foster@alachuacounty.us if you`d like to meet me!

Story
Meet Bark Twain! Bark Twain might not have been labeled the greatest humorist in the U.S., but he does know how to sit and shake on command.... so who's the real genius here?! Bark Twain is a very loving and playful boy, that also loves his cuddle time. He walks well on a leash although he can get a bit reactive towards strangers and other dogs. Because Bark Twain is a bundle of energy he will need tolerant dog friends that can handle his play style. He also passed his cat test at the shelter but we always recommend slow introductions. Bark Twain's adoption fee is waived thanks to Perry's Pump Repair.

Story
Howdy there! We are Trouble (smaller, pointy ears) and Snap, a bonded pair of older gentleman in search of a proper home in which to spend our golden years. We have spent many years together, and as such, we would really love to find a home for the both of us! We tend to be low energy but curious, we like to follow you around and know what you are up to. We seem to be housebroken and are familiar with sit and down, and we both love to snack on jerky treats. We can be around other animals and think we would do okay with kitties, but we prefer calmer dogs that will respect our space. Do you have enough room in your home and your heart for the both of us? We really hope so! Ask to meet us!
