Story
This fun, outgoing, active girl is ready to work her way into your heart! Belle loves everything and everyone and will light up your life with her positive energy. We will be honest that sometimes her enthusiasm is excessive, so she needs someone who can reinforce good behavior so she doesn't jump or knock others over. For that reason we would prefer her to be in a home with no young children who live there all the time. She would be fine with kids visiting since she adores them, but she will need to get her initial excitement out first. Belle enjoys being on the go, riding in the car, meeting new people and exploring the world but she does settle when she is at home and is a perfect couch potato. She is good on leash when she is out and about and loves exploring. While Belle loves other dogs, we have found that she loves them a little too much and not all dogs love her enthusiasm for them. We are working on helping her learn how to regulate and channel her excitement so until that is better, we prefer that she lives as an only pet. No cats for the same reason. A fenced yard would be ideal and she is currently trained on an electric fence which she can be out on as long as you are monitoring her. Belle is a perfect medium size at about 45 lbs, and she is even more beautiful in person. She thrives with structure and training and LOVES to be with her people. She is being fostered in Litchfield county Connecticut so please fill out an application if you would like to meet her! www.spottydogrescue.org ##1473726##

Story
APPLY FOR FRANKIE Alright, folks, strap on your seatbelts and prepare for a tail-wagging rollercoaster! I'm Frankie, back for round two—I'm like a sequel that actually improves on the original! And let me tell you, I’m a dazzling combo of Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever—basically a four-legged blend of awesome that would put Brad Pitt to shame in the park! Born on November 4th, weighing in at 17.5 lbs (I’ll be a medium sized doggo when I grow up) I’m basically the dog version of a star on the rise. Oh, and I come fully equipped: vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped—think of it as my doggy insurance policy!  Now, let's discuss my personality. I’m like a fluffy Energizer Bunny that just discovered espresso! I’m packed with more enthusiasm than a kid on Christmas morning, so my ideal family better be ready for some serious activity. If you’re into hiking, running, or even just spontaneously sprinting around like you’ve lost your mind—well, we’ll get along better than a dog and a mailbox! Exercise is my love language, and trust me, I have enough fluffy energy to power a small village! But wait, I’m also the ultimate cuddle monster—I'll dish out snuggles you didn’t even know you were missing in your life! Now, I'm diving headfirst into my exciting quest to *love* my crate. Think of it as my private spa retreat, without the mud baths (for now). I’m also a super eager learner with a mind as sharp as my little puppy teeth—ouch! I would thrive in puppy classes, where I can dazzle everyone with my skills and, let’s be honest, score a mountain of treats. And agility classes? Don’t even get me started! Imagine me zipping through tunnels and soaring over jumps like a fluffy flying squirrel—if squirrels could fly, that is. I can already hear the crowd—.*woof woof woof*!* When it comes to my ideal living situation, I’m dreaming of a home complete with a fellow energetic dog ready for some epic play battles. Think of it: races in the backyard, tug-of-war championships, and an all-out bark-fest. And kids? If you’ve got little humans, I’ll be their furry sidekick, bringing a whirlwind of laughter and chaos—good luck keeping up with us! And did I mention I have a soft spot for cats? True, they might consider me a bit "over the top," but all I want is to be friends! I promise I won’t chase them…*too much*. If your feline friend is dog-savvy, we might just create a purr-fectly chaotic family. Otherwise, let's keep the kitty away, 'cause I don’t want to give them a heart attack with my “big puppy energy”—we dogs can be a lot to handle! I’m on the hunt for my forever family! I have a truckload of love to share! I guarantee to fill your days with tail wags, cuddles, silliness, and enough laughs to make your sides hurt. So, what do you say? Are you ready to roll out the red carpet for a furry superstar like me? If so, please fill out an application for me www.astdogrescue.com/dog-application ♥   Apply for Frankie ##2298915##

Story
My name is Nyssa which means New Beginnings. I started out with mange, skinny and my eyes were sealed together with infection. Then CPR rescue found me and saved me. ❤️! Oh goodness how my world has changed!!! I am 100 % well, healthy and happy! I love everyone! I play great with other playful happy dogs around my size. I also have learned about cuddling and giving kisses which makes me so happy and humans say I am precious because of it. My first visit loose in the house, I thought the coffee table was my throne so I stood on it and felt special. But my foster parents explained that is not a good behavior or my throne. I have slowly learned to act more mannerly and humble. I love my Nyla bone to put me to sleep. Don’t tell anyone but it is my pacifier, as you call it in the human world. Oh, and let’s talk about my golden eyes!🐶 My foster mom and dad said I am the best crate dog they have ever had! I go in quietly and let them cook, eat, clean and watch tv. They give me a treat also so I will go in and out of the crate any time they allow 🐕. Bottom line, I am wanting my own person or family since I know that is going to be my forever destination. I sure hope someone that sees this says I am worthy to be loved by them. I promise to love you more. My foster mom will gladly talk to you about me. She really loves me. Nyssa is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Fanny Sabrina is a 12 wk nugget, adorable little mixed breed puppy and we think she is so cute we can hardly stand it! She is well socialized, friendly, loves to play with her dog friends, LOVES people, and is just generally a very good time. Hobbies are napping, eating, finding mischief, and stealing kisses! Waiting for her forever home. Fanny Sabrina Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Story
Rip is a beautiful GSP that was sadly abandoned in Naugatuck during a snow storm. When Rip was caught, it was found that he had a severe cruciate tear in his rear leg that needed surgery. Rip will undergo surgery and be neutered on March 6, 2025 and be eager to find his forever home once recovered! Rip is a typical GSP and a major clinger to his people. He is very obedient and eager to please. Housebroken and crate trained. He has been okay with other calm/docile dogs - but does not do well with other dominant/confindent dogs. He is extremely cuddly and loves to be with you, including endless time in the car. He also loves his toys!
