Story
Darla is a sweet fun loving girl. She has typical shepherd markings on a sturdy lab body. She is shy and a bit timid at first, especially with men, but after about 3 days, her charming, fun personality emerges. She's the perfect mix of chill and playful. Her German Shepherd line means she's going to bond with you and her family. She is especially fond of women and would do fantastic with a single woman who wants a dog that will alert to dangers. She'll be right there wherever you go in the house. Darla knows some basic commands like sit, shake, sit up, and is pretty good about staying. She loves to play with dogs similar to her size and loves playing outside.. okay she just loves to play. She loves squeaky toys, though they won't last long! She also needs tough chew toys. Darla is house-trained, rides well in a car, and will sleep in a crate all night, if the crate is in your bedroom. She would prefer to sleep on a dog bed, in your room, and not make a peep. Darla is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and waiting for her forever home. Darla is fostered in North Alabama but is available to other animals via transport. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, is heartworm negative and on preventatives. Apply at https:/forrescue.net

Story
If you are looking for a companion dog Phoebe is your girl. Her fur is soft and she will soak up any attention you can give her, even if it is just being snuggled next to you on the couch. She loves long walks, she gets so excited when she realizes it's time to put on her harness and go! She loves car rides, but does get sick on winding roads. She loves pup cups and basically any treat that she is offered. She LOVES to be with her humans. She is smart and will need mental and physical stimulation. She does have some anxiety but is doing very well with medication and training. She will go into her crate when you leave but prefers to run free. She would do really well with a stay at home or work from home household. She is working with a trainer to discover better coping skills for when she is alone.. She does well with younger and older dogs and we can talk about older cats (have not tested kittens). She is completely housetrained.

Frankie is a well-behaved on a leash, making walks an excellent opportunity for him to explore new places. He is a bright bot and though hasnt had any formal training, he's mastering basic like sit and stay! He is a treat motivated guy. Frankie is good with dogs his size that match his energy. He is not fond of overly hyper dogs that dont understand he enjoys his own space. Frankie will need a cat free home. Frankie is heartworm positive, but dont let that deter you.     adoption donation : $699 weight  35 lbs  Age 4 months as of 1/17        Charlotte and her siblings were dumped at a gas station in a rural part of Mississippi when they were quite young, they were starving when the Wags director  found them and took them in to the rescue. She nursed them back to health and gave them the vet care they needed and all five are now healthy and happy puppies, running and playing and snuggling together in a big puppy pile to nap.      Charlotte is so sweet! She is all tail wags and wiggles and just loves everyone she meets. She  is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher course while she adjusts to a new home.    She is spayed, and up-to-date on his vaccines and ready for loving family of her own. We’re hoping to bring Charlotte up to the northeast next Saturday, February 8      Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use.
