Story
Scout Located in Sidney NE area Lab x Bloodhound x mystery fusion 1.5ish Birthday around May 1st DOG FRIENDLY, however she prefers dogs that don’t get in her face. She had been cat friendly her whole life we can cat test her to make sureShe’s been chicken friendly her whole life, but we don’t know now as her foster doesn’t have chickens She’s been pig friendly her whole life, but we don’t know now as her foster doesn’t have pigs She’s been cow friendly her whole life, but we don’t know now as her foster doesn’t have cowsGood with CALM kidsSTRANGER DANGER WITH NEW PPL AROUND HER FAMILY AND HOMEVERY Protective around her family House trainedCrate trained and knows basic commands Loves to cuddle Slept in bed with her human brother at night Hates bikes LOVES water Will chase carsNeeds some work on leash training Is learning not to jump NEEDS A 6' SECURE PRIVACY FENCE (NOT NEGOTIABLE, THIS IS FOR HER SAFETYFully vetted 80-85lbs approx  Somehow this absolutely delicious goober is still waiting for her new home. How Princess Scout is still waiting for her people to find her is beyond me. She was adopted and returned for a reason that I 100% believe was misunderstood. You see when excited Scout jumps with an open mouth and will also close her open mouth. I fear that when she bit the delivery person it was out of playful energy and a lack of training rather than anything reactive, as she knew the delivery man and had taken treats from him prior. We had also been told it was severe but actually it didn’t require any stitches or medical attention per the form the owners filled out when the abandoned her, dumping her like a discarded broken TV, at the shelter without another thought.  That being said she is protective of her home and her family. If you’re going to have ppl over please put her in a bedroom or a crate, she’s perfectly crate trained.  This girl is amazing and truly deserves to find her ppl and settle into her home. We thought she would have found it months ago but alas she’s still here, waiting. Below is the link to her original post with all her info however she’s clearly no longer shut down or obese, actually we are working on getting some weight back on her thanks to her love of running and embracing the active lifestyle she adores. Don’t let this fool you though, she’s all for some couch cuddles and a movie, infact she’s jazzed about “Hocus Pocus 2.” https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159992766474171&id=338874459170 To Contact Us Message us through our website http://www.highplainspaw.org Message the Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/HighPlainsPAW Join and contact us through our FOSTER GROUP: https://www.facebook.com/groups/836373273962895/?ref=share Fill out our Adoption Application at https://www.highplainspaw.org/adoption-application Fill out our Foster Application at  https://www.highplainspaw.org/foster-application Email us at highplainspaw@gmail.com Call our VOICEMAIL at (402)957-1578  $200.00 Adoption Fee  (Which is considered a non refundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible. Story
Sidney NE areaLabrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier/ mystery fusion Birthday 03/23/2022Dog friendlyCat friendliness unknown, she was good with cats but she hasn’t been around one in her current foster home so a little hard to say for sureKid friendly, as long as the children have DOG MANNERS House trainedNeeds a SLOW FEEDER BOWLShe will crate with treats but she’s just not a huge fan so far. She needs work on house manners but she’s a quickl learner her current foster is just overwhelmed a bit when it comes to training. Does decent on a leash, she is strong and does pull sometimes so some work on that will be neededIs OBSESSED with iceFully vetted 70lbs approx  Edie has grown up in rescue she is very loved by us and by her foster family BUT she is so deserving of her FURever home. Every time we thought we had found her ppl it didn’t end up working out for reasons that had nothing to do with Edie. We have no idea why she’s had such little interest but we would REALLY love for her to find her people.  Not only is Edie absolutely darling, she has a happy and bubbly personality, she is always the first to meet her fosters at the door. She is always down for an adventure and her nature is very curious. She is one who observes before jumping into interacting with other dogs, she just likes to know what she’s signing up for, I can respect that, I think a lot of us secretly do the same thing with ppl. She really needs her people or a foster home with less dogs and more attention. She can get protective over toys and bones with other dogs but we think part of that will subside in a home with less dogs. She just wants more attention and love than she’s given. She’s crazy eager to please and has so much love to give.  She loves belly rubs and and squeezing in the smallest spaces she can . This little weirdo also has an obsession with the water bowl and while she’s never been around bodies of water beyond the bathtub, she would likely LOVE it!  This girl is a fantastic partner in crime. She loves people, is doing decent on a leash, but she is strong, it’s just her sincere and deep love of life and everything that every day has to offer!  If you’re interested in adding this, ice loving, spot stealing, adventure ready insanely delightful girl PLEASE contact us asap!  http://www.highplainspaw.org https://www.facebook.com/HighPlainsPAW : https://www.facebook.com/groups/836373273962895/?ref=share https://www.highplainspaw.org/adoption-application   https://www.highplainspaw.org/foster-application highplainspaw@gmail.com (402)957-1578  . .  $.  ( 5013 . , ' .) means, altered, up to date on vaccines, HW tested if applicable and on flea/tick preventative (chemical or natural, aka no buggies)  , . Abbott Located in Holdridge NEDOB: 03/03/2021Plott Hound/ Labrador Retriever fusions are our best guessDog friendlyCat friendlyGood with children with dog manners House trainedCrate trained and knows basic obedience commands Fully vetted 65lbs approx Abbott is a sweet and loyal boy. He can be a touch shy at first but as soon as he realizes that you're nice he's all in. He is happy to run and play, and does amazing off leash at his fosters home. He has fantastic recall and no desire to wander. While he is the perfect adventure partner he also loves to cuddle and stare longingly into your eyes. He's an old soul. He is sweet, playful yet calm and cuddly, and super super smart. He is super easily motivated and it going to make a fantastic addition to some lucky family!  Petunia came from a hoarding situation with 42 dogs at 1 point! When she arrived to us SUPER PREGNANT we were just relieved that she made it to us from Texas without whelping. What we hadn't counted on was her whelping the pups in my car as I ran errands and delivered other new arrivals to their fosters. We got Petunia and pups settled in here for a few days while we searched for a foster and finally a past adopter volunteered to foster this precious family! Since moving to the fosters home they have grown into amazing, super loved, well socialized, healthy and happy babies! It's now time for them to leave Petunia and their loving foster and find their FURever families. Story
Currently located in Wichita KS  Born around 4/1-4/8 approx  Dog friendly Cat friendly Kid friendly  Working on house and crate training  Very playful and bouncy  Fully vetted for his age  Approx 25lbs will be a dog   Who needs the cutest, sweetest, funniest, clumsy baby alive? If that doesn't sell you his expressive ears and charasmatic personality absolutely will! Somehow this baby is still looking for his FURever ppl.   Chip was brought into rescue at 3 weeks old when he was being given away for free on FB. His foster saw him and jumped into action knowing he still needed bottle fed. He has spent the last few weeks being cared for and loved by his foster family and foster doggo pack.  He has been mothered and raised around several French Bulldogs and an English Bulldog, as a result he absolutely believes he is a Bulldog. He has been in a home with children of various ages, cats and as said above, other dogs of various sizes. He is great with everyone and an absolutely fantastic baby boy.   He has huge paws and we believe he will be a large dog. He is still a baby but he's working on crate training and potty training. He is very easy to motivate and eager to please. He learns quickly and gets so excited!    Whomever gets to add this truly FANTASTIC baby into their family is incredibly lucky! He is the complete package of an amazing gentle nature and precious looks! He brightens every room he enters and it's impossible to have a bad day with this bouncy ray of sunshine in your life.  We cannot wait to meet this boys special family, we know they are going to be as terrific as he is! If you're interested in adding Chip to your home please contact us!    Please remember that this is a puppy, this means he will have typical puppy behavior. He will jump, nip, play bite, chew, have accidents etc. Remember he’s just a BABY! http://www.highplainspaw.org https://www.facebook.com/HighPlainsPAW https://www.highplainspaw.org/adoption-application highplainspaw@gmail.com (402)957-1578  . .    $. + $. /   ( 5013 . , ' .) means, altered, up to date on vaccines, HW tested if applicable and on flea/tick preventative (chemical or natural, aka no buggies)    , .
