Story
Adoption Fee: $475 - I'm already spayed/neutered! All animals are UTD on vaccines (may need boosters) and microchipped From the foster: I am a sweet girl from a litter of mostly big boys so I like to play rough and don't take any of their crap. I have been fostered with a brother and we love to chase and wrestle. We love all toys but especially the ones that we can tug. I have been fostered with big dogs and I am very interested in playing with them but they don't seem to want to play, even when I show them my puppy eyes and give them lots of kisses. I love my humans so much so I like to lay with them and let them rub my belly to thank them for being so nice. Super bonus, my fur is silky and soft so you won't be able to resist petting me! I get very nervous in the crate overnight but I settle in when my people are at work, so if you have a spot for me in your bed at night, I'd be the most happy. I'm still working on my potty training, I know I need to go outside but I haven't mastered asking you to let me out yet. Great with dogs, unsure on cats. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt

Story
Gaze into his eyes and cute Canelo will capture your heart! All 43 lbs of this 10.5-month-old boy are sweet, social, easygoing, and happy. He enjoys walks, playing with stuffie toys, chasing tennis balls, chewing on sturdy rubber toys, with breaks in between for cuddle time. Canelo loves playing with other dogs and joyfully greets new people. He’s working on his leash skills and is almost fully crate and house-trained. Motivated by food, love, and toys, he currently knows “sit,” "down," and “off” and if you’ve got a treat, he’s happy to learn more! Now all Canelo marshmallow needs is an active and loving home, with adopter(s) ready to take him on adventures, give him endless belly rubs, complete his training, and adore him for all of his days!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Story
If friendliness had a face, it would be 1-year-old Felipe’s face. While the 40-pound black-and-white beauty was initially shy, once he warmed up to his fosters, he wanted nothing more than to snuggle and cuddle with them, rest his head on them, sleep on top of them and then follow them everywhere. Preferring to be petted under the chin rather than above the head, Felipe does a fine rendition of the ranger crawl, is fabulously frisky with his doggy foster friends, and politely respects the senior dog’s boundaries. Percolating with puppy enthusiasm and energy, he loves going on walks, zigzagging slightly in his eagerness to meet other dogs, enjoys playing games of fetch, playing with toys, especially balls, and chewing bones. Motivated by food and toys, he currently knows “come” and “leave it,” and is crate-trained and almost fully house-trained. Only just starting life’s journey, Felipe will fit perfectly into a particularly loving home, preferably with another playful dog, and patient adopters who will bolster his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, mentally and physically, fur-ever. See more photos of Felipe here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Ever so LARGE in love, beautiful 3-year-old Lilah is blissfully unaware of her size. The sweet 49-pound former puppy mama, so soft and so wiggly, starts her mornings by stretching across her foster mom, then happily leaping into her lap for cuddles and pets before rolling over for belly rubs. As active as she is affectionate, Lilah loves tossing plush toys up in the air, catching and then tossing them up again, going for walks and on hikes, playing with other equally energetic dogs at the dog park and chasing rabbits and squirrels in the backyard. Highly motivated by food, toys and love, she’s particularly fond of such “treats” as bully sticks, bones, antlers and Kongs. Eager to learn and to please, she’s presently at work on her “sit” command, improving her leash manners, and is nearly crate and house-trained. Now all Lilah needs to thrive is an active home with a securely fenced yard, older children, another playful pup and adoring adopters who will patiently perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her enviable energy is well spent fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Making the most of her second chance at life is 2-year-old Misty! Saved by a Good Samaritan who found her underneath a house, nursing her puppies, this brave 37-pound black beauty and her puppies are now thriving. Sweeter than sweet, Misty, with her cute little underbite, adores her foster mom, pawing her for attention because she loves to be loved, petted and snuggled and having her belly rubbed. Still puppylike herself, she’s very friendly, LOVES other dogs her size and larger, playing with toys and going for two walks a day, walking well on leash without pulling. She also loves romping around the backyard, sunbathing and rolling in the grass. Once in the car, she sits quietly and enjoys the ride, and once in the tub, she tolerates being bathed. Fond of bananas and Greenies for treats, Misty especially enjoys chewing on a Nylabone, is both a good listener and a fast learner, is motivated by food and love, knows “come” and “sit,” and answers to her name. Learning not to jump up on people, crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Misty, who’s being treated for a mild case of heartworm, would be paw-fect for a particularly loving home that will complete her training, including her commands, and keep her content, mentally and physically, fur-ever.   See more photos of Misty here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home.
