Bruno is a fun loving energetic pup. He is tall and big. He loves other dogs and playful kids. He is learning how to play ball. Is a leash puller but with a little training will be amazing! Such a good boy. My mother in law got him when he was a little puppy and did not realize how big he would get and at 70 years old it is too much for her.no health issue and up to date on vaccines and is chipped. He just turned 2 last month.

Story
Sweet Tristan is a 1 year old, 51-ish lbs, male, mixed breed. He has a sleek, slender body and an agile, friendly, curious nature. We suspect Tristan has some Black Mouth Cur and Rhodesian Ridgeback in his lineage. Tristan loves canine friends. He’s a cautious in new situations and finds great comfort in the company of his canine companions. Tristan will do well in a home with a fenced in yard so he can have plenty of room to romp, play, and work on his confidence building. He rides fine in a car, but is nervous to get into one and he’s working on his leash manners, too. He’s very much a pup still and is eager to learn and please! Tristan is in foster in Firestone, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/tristan. Story
Milo is a 1-1.5-year-old, male, Heeler/Lab mix. He’s a very sweet boy that’s around 50 lbs. Milo loves dog friends, romping and playing around, and then snuggling in with a companion (human or canine will do) for a quick power nap. In his foster home, he uses the doggie door to go outside and he sleeps in a kennel next to the other dogs. He’s been around kiddos and he’s done just fine. He’s a young man, so will benefit from a home with a yard and playful dog friend (or two, or heck, even 3). He’d be a great workout partner and would really thrive with some food puzzles and mind games. Story
Are you looking for a good, medium sized, human friendly dog but don’t want to go through the puppy stage? Look no further! Richie is 42 lbs of mixed breed love (we suspect terrier/lab/cattle dog type mix) who is around 6 years old. He’s a Heinz 57 mixture packed with personality! Richie is a retired Houston stray looking for his forever family. Richie seems like he had a family who loved him at one point in his life. He came to us knowing about living in a house, routines, and food times. He knows how to walk on a leash, how to take a bath, and how to behave in a crate. He loves to roll in the grass, get belly rubs, and give hugs. He knows ‘sit’, ‘shake’, fetch, loves playing with toys, and loves kids and people fiercely. He’s also quite the expressive guy, in the best ways. Richie was picked up as a stray in Houston and never reclaimed. Richie had pesky heartworms and recently finished his treatment. He also had many fractured teeth and required an extensive dental surgery. Richie is one healthy, happy boy now with no ongoing medical issues. He has a low-moderate energy level and will do well in a variety of home types, but he is a bit dog selective and doesn’t care for most dogs larger than him (c’mon, is he really the first man with a size complex?). Once he decides he doesn’t like a dog, he’s not really interested in working on the relationship 🤣. He seems to do best with female dogs that are smaller than he is. He also seems fine with felines. Please help Richie find is family and be overlooked no longer! Richie is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/richie You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Look no further! Cody is a 1-year-old, 45 lbs lab mix that was saved from the euthanasia list at a high intake shelter in Houston. He was picked up as a stray, so little is known about his history. Cody needs to gain a little bit of weight (which will not be a problem with the way he eats🤣), but otherwise seems no worse for wear for being a street dog. He’s a healthy boy! He loves friends-the human and dog variety. He is doing well with crate training, working on leash skills, and integrating into a family routine. He has so many of the endearing lab traits: loving, loyal, friendly, food motivated, explorative, follows his nose, active, wants to learn…we could go on and on. His ideal home includes a fenced yard and a family that will work on training and socialization with him, as a lot of the world still seems to be very new for him and he is still very puppy like. Story
Duck, Duck, Goose!! Goose is a 1-2 year old, 63 lbs, lab mix that waited patiently for his turn while at the shelter. He was a staff favorite so it’s no surprise his life was spared while he waited for a rescue. When Goose was getting ready to come to Colorado, the vet noticed something wrong with his manly parts. He had a birth defect that would require surgical correction. After Goose arrived, he took a trip to the vet and got all fixed up. Goose is great with dogs and loves to wrestle and play. He’s working on his crate training (overall does really well, but cries a little at first) and seems house trained, too. He’s a smart boy and catches on to routines quickly. He even learned the doggie door at his foster home. Goose seems to be friendly with all people he meets, so kids shouldn’t be a problem. He also has limited exposure to cats and seems ok with them thus far. Hurry up and get your hat in the ring for this lovable lab!
