Story
Disco was found in San Antonio Texas, he was seeking refuge in bushes to stay out of the dreadful summer weather in Texas. He is super sweet! He loves to play with toys! He is high energy and still has puppy behavior. He would make the perfect dog for anyone who enjoys being active. The best part is that we have never heard him bark! No need to wear earmuffs around this sweet boy!  ##1855627##

Story
A litter of seven young puppies were being sold by an unhoused person on the streets of San Antonio when an angel stepped up to purchase all of The Seven and ensure they were adopted out through a reputable rescue who would also ensure they went to the best furever homes. Nothing is known about Mum or Dad- four girls and one boy are black with tan to rich brown markings making them look more Rottie, and one boy and girl are tan and look like Yellow Labrador Retrievers. Whatever their mix, they are 100% cute, cuddly, playful and fun! One of the siblings DNA test results were: 41% Rottweiler, 24% Australian Cattle Dog, 9% American Staffordshire Terrier, 7% American Pit Bull Terrier, 7% German Shepherd Dog but we think Candy has a different Dad so while she will have some of these breeds, she is going to have a different make up. Candy is by far the ALPHA of The Seven, the one to rule them all if you don't mind mixing your lore She loves to play and wrestle! The Seven have received their 1 year Rabies, Bordetella and 2nd DAPP (3rd due by 11/3/2024). Candy weighed in at 20.8 pounds 10/16/2024. The Seven arrived in Colorado 10/17, are being fostered in Highlands Ranch, and are available for adoption today! ##2214612##

Story
Scout was owner surrendered to ACS in San Antonio and was a staff favourite because of her sweet demeanor!   Scout just finished up heartworm treatment. Scout loves a good walk as a new Colorado girl experiencing her very first winter! She loves a good treat and to have her face wrinkles played with. Scout is fearful of other dogs and is working on it but currently prefers to be an only dog.   "Hi there! I'm Scout! If you are looking for a dog that is adorable and is always by your side, I'm your dog! I'll stick to you like velcro. If you work from home I'll be your foot warmer sometimes and check on you to make sure you are still there. I'm very well mannered in the home. I do best in my kennel when you are away. I can have a lot of energy but I contain it to walks most of the time. I can be stubborn on walks but that is because I know the best way to go. I really really don't like cats and raccoons, but who does? I have barked at other dogs but my foster is working at making it not happen anymore. You'll have my heart faster than I eat my food. Some of my favorite things are food, treats, my kong, food scraps, walks, food, and more treats... I just really like food! If you are looking for a best friend, someone to help you get your steps in, clean up any scraps of food, or someone to blame farts on, I'm your dog!" - Scout Scout has already made the journey to Colorado and is being fostered in Park Hill Denver. ##2242835##

Story
Lainey is a four month old, approximately 10 pound pup from Mum Ginger, who gets her name from her red colour. We’re guessing Mum has Vizsla and Lab in her, but Lainey doesn’t look like that… at all Lainey was born on an orphanage outside Tijuana, Mexico. From Lainey's foster: "She's extremely sweet and spunky.  Definitely all puppy right now; she has huge bursts of energy but they are still short lived. Once she’s had enough she will literally just collapse and sleep like a bunny in the summer sun. She loves to play with anyone that will allow for it; dogs, cats (ours don’t allow for it), kids- once she’s warmed up to them, and adults alike. She's mostly house trained (I think it’ll click for her right away in a less chaotic environment), she’s incredibly smart and willing to learn, she’s an absolute baby and loves to snuggle, nibble on you and give as many kisses as you’ll allow.  "I think she’d really thive in a quiet household with someone around a lot, though she is crate trained and a total champ in her crate- currently she sleeps in there at night and is also crated a few times throughout the day. "Also she walks like Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy, due to her back left foot missing two toes " Lainey is being fostered in Littleton, Colorado. ##2262650##

Story
Erin was just pulled from the euthanasia list at ACS in San Antonio. This sweet girl didn't deserve to be there and she's one of the lucky ones to get a chance to be a Colorado dog. Erin was owner surrendered to ACS with three other dogs due to owner inability to sterilize/separate pets resulting in litter. We will need time to understand more about her outside the stressful shelter environment, but the shelter notes indicated while a shy pup at first, she quickly opens up with a few treats and head scratches. Once you warm her up, she loves attention, standing up and placing her paws onto you awaiting more head scratches and love, the perfect companion for those wanting a loving cuddle buddy. A loving dog who's positively adorable, give her some treats and love and she will love to come home with you and enjoy your attention. She was friendly with staff by coming over for treats and affection with a loose, wiggly body and a wagging tail. She played with her kennel mate. We can't wait to see this girl blossom and come into her own. More to come! Erin has made the journey up from San Antonio, Texas, and is being fostered in Denver, Colorado. This girl has received a second chance and is ready for her best life in your furever home- just say yes! ##2265190##
