Story
HIGHLIGHTS:-Needs another more confident dog in the home-Needs 5`+ securely fenced yardMeet Boo, a medium-sized Lab mix with a big heart just waiting to trust. Boo is the type of dog who forms deep bonds with her people—once you’re in her circle, you’ll have a loyal shadow for life. She’s known to follow her favorite staff member around the yard, even howling at him for attention. It’s clear that Boo’s love runs deep, but it takes her some time to warm up to new faces. While Boo won’t approach strangers right away, with patience and kindness, she’ll start to come out of her shell. Once she feels safe, she’ll come up for treats (cheese is her favorite!) and slowly accept gentle pets. She does best when humans go slow and give her time to adjust.Boo’s confidence blossoms around other dogs. She loves playtime with her canine friends, wagging her tail as she chases and romps around. When she’s with other dogs, she’s playful and happy. Without them, she’s more nervous and unsure. Because of this, Boo will need another confident dog in her new home to help her feel secure and continue to build trust. She’s learning to walk on a leash, but prefers to have a dog friend accompany her on walks. Boo is food motivated, making training easier, and she’s making progress every day.Boo needs a calm, patient home with a secure fence (at least 5 feet) since she’ll jump if she feels nervous or scared. She’s a sweet, sensitive soul who’s trying her best to trust the world—and with the right family, Boo will blossom into the loyal, loving companion she was always meant to be. ------Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Highlights:- Needs to be an only dogMeet Simba: The Ultimate People-LoverSimba is a 50-pound Lab mix with a larger-than-life personality and an endless supply of love to give. This friendly boy absolutely adores people—he’s known for leaning his entire body into hugs and giving the sweetest kisses. Simba’s excitement for life is as big as his vertical jump, so a secure, tall fence is a must to keep him safe as he explores his world.Simba thrives on activity and would be the perfect companion for an adventurous family who loves hikes, walks, and playtime. He walks well on a leash and is highly treat-motivated, making training sessions both productive and fun. While Simba loves humans, he prefers to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention for himself. This active, affectionate pup is ready to bring boundless energy and endless cuddles to his forever family. Story
Hi there, I’m Stamp! I’m an energetic and spirited pup looking for an active and patient home where I can channel my energy into fun activities and learning. Training classes would be an excellent way to help me settle in and be the best version of myself. I am pushy with other dogs and may do best as the only dog. I can be a bit protective of my food or toys, so working with a qualified trainer will be important to help me feel secure. Due to my high energy and lack of manners, a mature home is strongly recommmended and no apartments please!

Story
Meet Trixie! Trixie is a sweet dog who may take a minute to warm up to new people, but once she feels comfortable, she’s all about seeking attention and affection. She’s a fan of treats, so using them as positive reinforcement will help build trust and encourage good behavior. She is pushy with other dogs, so may do best as the only dog.

Story
Bonjour! I’m Gaston! I’m a lively guy who’s looking for an active and patient home where I can truly thrive. I’d love a family who’s willing to help me learn the ropes—training classes would be a great way to help me settle in and be my best self! I’ll admit, I’m not always the most comfortable around other dogs, so I’ll need slow and respectful introductions if they’re around.
