Story
Meet Lightning! This sweet girl is on her way to recovery after a femoral head surgery and is looking for a dedicated adopter who can continue her physical therapy after adoption. Her foster has been working daily on her leg stretches and walks to improve her mobility, and she's making great progress. However, due to the severity of her injury, she still has some healing ahead and will need ongoing physical therapy, including daily walks and leg stretches.Lightning wasn't a fan of swimming therapy, but she absolutely loves her squeaky toys and plays gently with them. She's super friendly with the resident cat and respects her space. While she can be a bit reactive on her leash around other dogs, she's been responding well to treat distractions and is improving every day.At home, Lightning was gradually integrated with the house dogs through pack walks and outdoor meetings. She's energetic and playful but calms down quickly with a gentle reminder. Lightning loves to be around people and is happiest just being next to you. She's truly a sweet and loving girl who's going to be a fantastic companion for her perfect family. If you're willing to continue her physical therapy and provide her with a loving home, Lightning is ready to bring joy and love into your life!
