Story
Fee sponsored with approved application. Meet little Romeo! His nose looks like a heart which is perfect since he is so loving. Romeo likes his naps, when he is tired he looks for anyone that will pick him up and snuggle. He loves everyone he meets and gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. We don't know his parents, but we were told he is a Lab mix, he looks lab and has all the personality traits of a lab puppy, just still a little small but growing fast. If you want a buddy that wants to be near you, give little Romeo a chance.October update - I am Romeos foster mom, I have been a foster mom since 2009 and have fostered 100's probably 1000's dogs and puppies. So believe me when I say Romeo is special, not perfect but he is a pup that will learn and be your buddy. Today was his 3rd time on a harness and learning to walk, he was excited to go for the walk and walked at a pace that his 70 plus foster mom could keep up with. He sleeps with his foster mom and around morning light asks to go outside and pees. He is in a hurry to go back inside and uses a puppy pad, after that he uses the petdoor. Romeo gets along with the other dogs in his foster home all different sizes and temperments. He sits and waits for his turn to get treats. I took him to a park birthday party and he loved all the children. He doesnt bark much, but he does love his mom's fragrant shoes. We think he will be a medium Lab mix. Call Marie. 954 608 4918 and grab this wonderful boy.Fostering and transporting to places where there is a need for adoptable animals, saves lives, its that simple. Story
If friendliness had a face, it would be 1-year-old Felipe’s face. While the 40-pound black-and-white beauty was initially shy, once he warmed up to his fosters, he wanted nothing more than to snuggle and cuddle with them, rest his head on them, sleep on top of them and then follow them everywhere. Preferring to be petted under the chin rather than above the head, Felipe does a fine rendition of the ranger crawl, is fabulously frisky with his doggy foster friends, and politely respects the senior dog’s boundaries. Percolating with puppy enthusiasm and energy, he loves going on walks, zigzagging slightly in his eagerness to meet other dogs, enjoys playing games of fetch, playing with toys, especially balls, and chewing bones. Motivated by food and toys, he currently knows “come” and “leave it,” and is crate-trained and almost fully house-trained. Only just starting life’s journey, Felipe will fit perfectly into a particularly loving home, preferably with another playful dog, and patient adopters who will bolster his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, mentally and physically, fur-ever. Story
Ever so LARGE in love, beautiful 3-year-old Lilah is blissfully unaware of her size. The sweet 49-pound former puppy mama, so soft and so wiggly, starts her mornings by stretching across her foster mom, then happily leaping into her lap for cuddles and pets before rolling over for belly rubs. As active as she is affectionate, Lilah loves tossing plush toys up in the air, catching and then tossing them up again, going for walks and on hikes, playing with other equally energetic dogs at the dog park and chasing rabbits and squirrels in the backyard. Highly motivated by food, toys and love, she’s particularly fond of such “treats” as bully sticks, bones, antlers and Kongs. Eager to learn and to please, she’s presently at work on her “sit” command, improving her leash manners, and is nearly crate and house-trained. Now all Lilah needs to thrive is an active home with a securely fenced yard, older children, another playful pup and adoring adopters who will patiently perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her enviable energy is well spent fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
Making the most of her second chance at life is 2-year-old Misty! Saved by a Good Samaritan who found her underneath a house, nursing her puppies, this brave 37-pound black beauty and her puppies are now thriving. Sweeter than sweet, Misty, with her cute little underbite, adores her foster mom, pawing her for attention because she loves to be loved, petted and snuggled and having her belly rubbed. Still puppylike herself, she’s very friendly, LOVES other dogs her size and larger, playing with toys and going for two walks a day, walking well on leash without pulling. She also loves romping around the backyard, sunbathing and rolling in the grass. Once in the car, she sits quietly and enjoys the ride, and once in the tub, she tolerates being bathed. Fond of bananas and Greenies for treats, Misty especially enjoys chewing on a Nylabone, is both a good listener and a fast learner, is motivated by food and love, knows “come” and “sit,” and answers to her name. Learning not to jump up on people, crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Misty, who’s being treated for a mild case of heartworm, would be paw-fect for a particularly loving home that will complete her training, including her commands, and keep her content, mentally and physically, fur-ever.   See more photos of Misty here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home.   Making the most of his second chance at life is 12-week-old Marcus! Story
Update! The results are in! Ebony's brother Brownie, now Riddick...just took a DNA test, turns out she's 100%... that basa$$ puppy! Riddick shows: 29.1% German Shepherd Dog, 28% American Bully, 14.8% Cane Corso, 11.1% Belgian Malinois, 9.8% Dutch Shepherd, 7.2% American Pit Bull Terrier, Ebony was found left in front of an Elementary School with her brother Riddick. She is only about five months old but has the courage of someone who’s been there, done that. She doesn’t let her big Great Dane/Mastiff foster brother get away with not always wanting to play and has been known to hide and then sneak attack her Shepherd foster sister. Ebony is truly a dogs dog and is always part of the pack, but knows that it’s only humans that provide the good belly rubs that make her leg shake. Ebony is probably a true mutt mix of dogs that could include hound, lab, mastiff, pittie, bully, sugar, spice and everything nice with who knows what else. Ebony is a very smart and intuitive puppy. She is highly food motivated and learned to sit in just one day. Ebony is familiar with doggie doors also. She is always eager to run and play and often gets the zoomies. She enjoys eating ice and will often sit at the refrigerator waiting for a piece when someone is getting ice. She loves to give kisses and is just an overall sweetheart. What's your favourite colour? Ebony is being fostered in Denver, Colorado. ##2152295##

Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event:https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##796728##

Story
Cooper is a four year old, 65 pound golden retriever mix. He is as sweet and goofy as can be, and would spend every second with his owners if he could. Some of his favorite activities include cuddling, hiking, RVing, swimming and did we say cuddling! While he can be active, he also loves his downtime especially if it includes you. He is potty trained, crate trained, and knows a variety of tricks/commands.   Cooper loves all humans, but can be selective with his dog friends and needs slow introductions. He needs to be the only dog in the home and will need a home with a private yard. Cooper would love to continue working with his trainer, and would come with a series of one on one classes with his new owner at no cost.    Cooper will truly be the most incredible and loving companion for someone special. He is a wonderful dog!    My contact info: Cell - 303.618.4285 Email - bpbroe@gmail.com     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Story
Chase is a Golden Retriever mix who is 9 months old and about 40lbs currently. Located in Aurora, Colorado 80017. The Good: He loves being around people and dogs of similar size and is very playful with our black lab mix. With people he is the most friendly puppy and will often shake his butt so much in excitement and will roll over to get his belly and chest rubbed. For a puppy he is very relaxed and calm and often wants to just sit or lay down with company. The bad: Chase has also been crate-trained but is having a lot of difficulty house training even with positive reinforcement. He is pretty smart, but not the most obedient - training must be heavily reinforced with him. He is still a puppy - expect chewing and destruction if he is not supervised. I would prefer (not required) to see him go to an experienced family with one member who works at home or is a full time homemaker. Please ask any questions and I also highly encourage a meet and greet!
