Story
Beautiful young boy (DOB 11/13/23) needs a new home. Going to humane Society unless home found. Lab/pit mix. We have been taking care of him and his brother since they came to us needing a home. We really love them both! We just cant keep them. Our son just finished chemotherapy and radiation treatment for brain cancer. We really need to focus on our family and health right now. We are rehoming him and his litter mate. He is such a sweet boy! Soft mouth, gentle, and very loving. Well behaved for such a young dog. He is vaccinated, dewormed and gets monthly flea prevention. Needs to be nurtured. The vet said it’s best to wait 12-18 months, good for bones and muscles of a growing dog. He is House trained, socialized at dog parks and the beach, knows commands, leash trained, cate trained (sleeps 10 hours, 10 pm to 8 am), happy, healthy boy. Experience with cats and young children. He is about 70 lbs. I can provide leash, nice harness, food, slow feeder bowl, large crate. Toys etc.

Story
Hi, I'm Freddie. I'm a handsome and regal looking 4 yr. old, 73 lb. black lab mix. I'm playful, friendly and affectionate. In spite of all my great qualities, I spent over a year in a shelter before SPOT rescued me (Black dogs and large breeds frequently get unfairly passed over by adopters for some reason) I love toys of all kinds and enjoy chasing a ball. I still haven't quite mastered that part about bringing it back! I get along great with other dogs and people. Unfortunately, cats, not so much. Since coming to SPOT, I have worked with a trainer to develop my leash manners and to follow basic commands. I would like to learn even more, if my new family will work with me. (Just to make sure I get off on the right track, SPOT will provide refresher sessions with my Trainer. I recently had some surgery to fix my leg and its all better.I love my daily brisk walks and romps in the backyard. Since I am a big strong dog, you should probably have experience with bigger dogs. Freddie is a dog who, more than anything deserves a second chance! He will reward that lucky family who adopts him with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be that family? If you think you might, please fill out an application so we can arrange for you to meet Freddie. Freddie's Adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip and current vaccinations. Story
How this pet arrived: Rocky was brought in by his previous owner on April 10, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Rocky, a shy but sweet boy looking for his new home. Rocky was kept outside without much socialization in his previous home, so he's still discovering how wonderful new human friends can be! Rocky adores treats and thrives on gentle care and patience. He's looking for a calm and quiet home where he can continue to blossom. Due to his sensitive nature, Rocky would do best in a household with older children (over the age of 6) who understand his need for gentle interactions. Make sure to bring along the entire household so that we can ensure a good fit! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this pup deserving of love and comfort, come meet Rocky and we will even send you home with his leash and collar!Shy/Fearful Dog: Rocky requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Story
Meet Tilly the 3 year old Lab/Spaniel mix gal! At 40 LBS, she is a great medium sized dog. Tilly is very loving and affectionate. She loves to speak to her humans and we don't mean bark- she's talking playfully. She loves to run and play with kids and her toys. Tilly also does best with other med-large size dogs like her. She is not, however, a fan of cats and may have a small animal prey drive. So, she would go best in a home without cats, rabbits, birds, etc... Tilly is crate trained, doing great on potty training, and is learning to use a doggie door. Tilly's Adoption fee is $350 and includes spay, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-1211 To follow Tilly on her journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

Story
How this pet arrived: Bruno was brought in by our Human Law Enforcement on October 10, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Say hello to Bruno, the four-legged goofball who's got enough charm to make your daily life feel like a rom-com. This dashing gentleman is all about turning everyday moments into memories, whether it's his enthusiastic sprints around the yard or his "how-did-I-end-up-here" lounging on your couch. Bruno has mastered the art of making you laugh, sometimes without even trying. Looking for a partner to join you on spontaneous adventures? Don't forget to bring the snacks he's always down for a road trip, a hike, or even just a brisk walk around the neighborhood. And if your definition of adventure involves a movie marathon on the couch, well, Bruno's your guy there too-he excels in the fine art of napping. This is your chance to sign up for the kind of companionship that guarantees no dull moments. Bruno's looking to lock down a long-term deal with someone who appreciates his zest for life. Ready to bring this charismatic fellow home? He's already planning his grand exit from the shelter, complete with a victory lap! Don't forget to bring a leash and collar to take him home.
