Papa 💜 4 year old male neutered black Lab. Lives for his “stuffies”! He has a moment of stranger danger when he first meets you because the shelter environment freaks him out, but this boy is a silly, playful, loveable angel! He seems to get along with other pups and hasn’t been cat tested. Papa was pulled from Palms and Paws because he was getting too anxious in a higher volume shelter; since he’s been at our slower pace shelter, he’s really come out of his shell! Come meet this handsome Lab!

Story
Bluejay! 2.5 year old, male neutered, Labrador/Pit X. Bluejay just came to us from a fellow non profit no-kill shelter called Route 66; they were sadly shut down by the city of Barstow and this boy was facing his final 24 hours at a Barstow city shelter. It’s hard to believe he’s not been adopted when you meet him (and see how handsome he is for crying out loud!). He’s a true “soul boy”…a “gentle giant”. He has the body/size of a Lab and the face of a sweet Pitty pie. BlueJay is so good on a leash! He will be a great family dog!! Come meet this kiddo today!!

Story
With the help of several community members, we were able to transfer this sweetheart from a High-Risk shelter right into a foster home! She is so far fabulous with all people and cats! Her foster is a trainer and will begin testing/training with other pups so stay tuned for an update on how she does. She will be available for adoption once she’s spayed, but we’re accepting applications and doing meet n’ greets in the meantime. To the lucky person/people who adopt this special, soulful girl …Clementine will be your shadow because she feels most secure right by your side

Story
Nova. Black and white Lab mix. She is a rescue that is a little timid at first, but warms right up and is very loving. I have had her since she was 6 months and she is very well potty trained with no accidents. She loves going on walks, runs and hikes. She loves laying in bed all day too, and cuddles under the covers when it gets cold. It may be a little before you see her true self, but she is very playful. I have taught her basic sit/lay commands and her recall is decent, but nothing special. Once she is warmed up, she will never run away from you, even with the door wide open. Although she does have a high prey drive which brings up no cats or smaller animals. She sometimes gets territorial over food towards other dogs, even Otis sometimes, but never humans. Which makes me think the best place for her is a single dog household. I love her so much and would be very happy to find her a loving home.
