We unfortunately have to rehome our little Maggie. she is a sweet and fun lab mix. She loves to go on runs, hikes, and loves to play. she is 8 months old. We have to re-home due to 2 of our children becoming highly allergic to her. She is crate trained, and play-pin trained. She is great with kids, and is very affectionate.

Story
Hello! I am Morrissey, a joyful and resilient 1 year old 60lb Labrador who’s looking for a loving forever home. I was born with a deformed paw that needed to be amputated at only a few months old so three paws is all I know but it doesn’t slow me down-- I’m a master at playing fetch, tug of war, I love any and all water activities or just staying in and snuggling up on the couch! I am equal parts playful pup and a cozy couch potato. I’m a friendly, affectionate, and incredibly loyal companion. I have a heart as big as my paws and a wagging tail that never seems to stop. I’m always ready for a belly rub and especially enjoy the company of both people and other pets. My goofy antics and gentle nature make me a perfect family member. I have lived in a home with both cats and children of all ages and have done well with all. I would thrive best with a person/family that has a yard and is home more than not.

Story
Oreo currently in a home with a beagle and German Sheperd mix (who we also got from the same shelter as Oreo, and were both on the same euthanasia list). Oreo loves any type of walk (short/long). He is very mellow, humble, well behaved, and listens to commands. He knows how to shake both paws and sits/goes to his crate when told so. Goes potty when told so. He avoids conflict. He is non-reactive towards other dogs when other dogs bark at him. He loves car rides. He loves his crate and likes to be alone or with people. He doesn't get separation anxiety. He is a perfect, healthy dog who needs his furever home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Friends, our beautiful 8-month-old puppy, Onyx, is in need of your help to find him a loving and supportive forever home. Despite being born with a front leg deformity that has resulted in a shorter right leg, Onyx is a joyful and spirited boy who can run and play just like any other puppy. While he may be a little slower than his peers and doesn’t require as much exercise, his loving nature more than makes up for it. Onyx has formed a wonderful bond with one of our other dogs, Osa, and we would be overjoyed if they could be adopted together. However, we understand that this may not always be feasible, and our primary goal is to ensure Onyx finds a wonderful home where he can thrive. After consulting with two veterinarians, we are relieved to share that they both concur Onyx can continue to flourish without the need for a leg amputation, allowing him to live a long, happy, and pain-free life. Onyx is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, making him ready for his new adventure. He adores short walks, enjoys the company of other friendly dogs, and absolutely loves trips to the beach, where he can explore and soak up the sun. If you reside in San Diego County or the surrounding areas and are interested in fostering to adopt or adopting Onyx, we invite you to complete our foster or adoption application at tlck9rescue.org. Let’s work together to give Onyx the loving home he deserves. Remember it's Hands and Paws Together Forever and with your help, we can find Onyx the family he has always wanted!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 12, 2024, 3:28 pm

Story
How this pet arrived: Noodle was brought in by her previous owner on 2/15/2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Noodle, a beautiful and complex girl looking for the right home to help her thrive! She's generally good meeting new people, though she can be fearful in certain situations. In our care, she tends to be shy at first but warms up quickly meeting someone new. Her previous owner indicates that Noodle has shown patience with children and is crate trained, though she may vocalize when inside and alone at home. She has some behavior challenges, including dog reactivity/aggression and a strong prey drive toward cats, so we require she live in a home without other dogs, and recommend she not live with cats. Because she gets a little anxious, Noodle can be a bit destructive when left alone uncrated. We have valuable information to help you guide her management and set her up for success. If you're ready to work with Noodle's unique needs, she'll reward you with love and loyalty! Please visit our Escondido campus to say howdy to Noodle! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for her new home! Primary Color: Tan Weight: 48.8 Age: 4yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Hi, I'm Freddie. I'm a handsome and regal looking 4 yr. old, 73 lb. black lab mix. I'm playful, friendly and affectionate. In spite of all my great qualities, I spent over a year in a shelter before SPOT rescued me (Black dogs and large breeds frequently get unfairly passed over by adopters for some reason) I love toys of all kinds and enjoy chasing a ball. I still haven't quite mastered that part about bringing it back! I get along great with other dogs and people. Unfortunately, cats, not so much. Since coming to SPOT, I have worked with a trainer to develop my leash manners and to follow basic commands. I would like to learn even more, if my new family will work with me. (Just to make sure I get off on the right track, SPOT will provide refresher sessions with my Trainer. I recently had some surgery to fix my leg and its all better.I love my daily brisk walks and romps in the backyard. Since I am a big strong dog, you should probably have experience with bigger dogs. Freddie is a dog who, more than anything deserves a second chance! He will reward that lucky family who adopts him with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be that family? If you think you might, please fill out an application so we can arrange for you to meet Freddie. Freddie's Adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip and current vaccinations. To fill out an adoption application, visit https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSP-A-823 To follow Freddie on his journey to a loving family on SPOT's Facebook page, visit https://facebook.com/spotsavespets/ and on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/spotsavespets/

Story
How this pet arrived: Rocky was brought in by his previous owner on April 10, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Rocky, a shy but sweet boy looking for his new home. Rocky is a young dog who is still discovering how wonderful new human friends can be. Rocky adores treats and thrives on gentle care and we've seen him make both human and dog friends here in the shelter! He loves long walks where he can sniff around and enjoys playing in water! He's looking for a calm and quiet home where he can continue to blossom. Due to his sensitive nature, Rocky would do best in a household with older children (over the age of 6) who understand his need for gentle interactions. That being said, he's made dog friends of all shapes and sizes! Does Rocky sound like the one for you? Make sure to bring along the entire household to meet him! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this pup deserving of love and comfort, come meet Rocky and we will even send you home with his leash and collar! Shy/Fearful Dog: Rocky requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Black Weight: 73.4 Age: 1yrs 10mths 1wks
