Story
AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Terry is here and he is ready to steal your heart! I'm an is an 8-month-old, neutered male, Labrador/Pitbull mix. I am an absolute sweetheart that is a bit on the silly side! I'm a rambunctious young boy that is super playful and can be vocal, specially if I want to play with you! I'm 43 pounds right now but I will most likely grow up to be a large breed (anywhere between 55lbs. to 65lbs.). I would do best in an active home with someone who is familiar with working breeds, and is ready to provide lots of exercise, training, socialization and love!  Terry ID# A951058 Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by submitting your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to adoptinquire@peninsulahumanesociety.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.  Application: https://phs-spca.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/AdoptionProfiles_dog2023_fillin.pdf *The application may not work on mobile devices and iPads. Please call (650) 340-7022 for assistance.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. Story
Meet Bessie. She is 28 pounds of energy! Her face looks like a Lab mix but she really is just a small lowrider and a whirlwind of energy. Mostly housebroken and does well in her crate and has fairly good leash skills. Bessie has a ton of energy and would love an active household. She is young and still needs to learn some boundaries as she likes to jump on people and other dogs. She has a few dogs she likes to play with, but would do best as an only dog and to stay away from dog parks as her spunky energy doesn’t always do well with others. She is a fun little gal and perfect for urban living and adventures. She could use some training, but she will make somebody the perfect buddy to go on treks and explore the world. She does calm down after exercise and once she does she’s a snuggle bug. If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Story
Dolly, spayed female, 3y-5-m-old, 44-lbs If you would like to give DOLLY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Dolly has an easy-going temperament, very playful and lively. She loves people and is sociable around other dogs and stays calm when meeting cats. She is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; not a chewer or barker. Dolly is most suitable for an outdoor loving family, and/or as an addition to family with dog. Dolly’s rescue story: Driving home during a stormy night, the rescuer spotted a dark moving object in-between the traffic lanes. When she stopped her car to check it out, she found Dolly moving toward her slowly, wagging her tail. She didn’t seem injured but apparently had difficulty moving. Dolly followed the rescuer to her car and off to the hospital they went. The doctor’s diagnostic was that Dolly simply suffered from starvation. Under the care of her foster family, Dolly regained her hearth and received proper training. But being a dog with black color coat has hardly any chance to be adopted by local people. Hopefully Dolly can start her new life aboard. Bobby, neutered male, 13-months old, 42-lbs If you would like to give BOBBY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bobby is a lively, playful, and happy pup when around his human pack. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Bobby adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. He is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is his daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. Bobby is calm and docile compared to young pups his age. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a companion pet. About Bobby’s rescue: Bobby was deserted at the park, he was around six months old at the time. Volunteer posted his story on social media asking for help, but didn’t get any response. He was friendly to the park visitors and sometimes played with their dogs. During the time the volunteer was looking for foster opportunity for him. Before an organized fair held at the park, Bobby was picked up by the local shelter. Fortunately, the volunteer landed a foster family for Bobby and got him out of the shelter shortly. Bobby got out of the shell and became his old and friendly self soon afterwards. Bart, neutered male, 2Year 4months old, 28 Lbs. If you would like to give BART a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bart is one of the best dogs we have fostered. He has a striking appearance and a relatively smaller build. He is docile, calm, but can also be lively and playful; he loves belly rubs and hugs when around familiar faces. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He likes food and toys, and is willing to share with others. Bart rides well in the car and enjoys resting near his humans quietly. He can easily befriend strangers and is very gentle with kids. Bart also gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is potty trained and crate trained. His favorite pastime is the daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a loyal companion pet as well as a superb hiking partner. Bart’s rescue story: In central western Taiwan, near an industrial park, Bart and his seven other siblings were wandering about. There were no food and water in sight, except the occasional feeding by volunteers. With highway and storm drainage ditch nearby, it was a precarious environment for these young pups. When the rescuer saw the posting for help by volunteer, she responded immediately.
