Story
Dolly, spayed female, 3y-5-m-old, 44-lbs If you would like to give DOLLY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Dolly has an easy-going temperament, very playful and lively. She loves people and is sociable around other dogs and stays calm when meeting cats. She is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight; not a chewer or barker. Dolly is most suitable for an outdoor loving family, and/or as an addition to family with dog. Dolly’s rescue story: Driving home during a stormy night, the rescuer spotted a dark moving object in-between the traffic lanes. When she stopped her car to check it out, she found Dolly moving toward her slowly, wagging her tail. She didn’t seem injured but apparently had difficulty moving. Dolly followed the rescuer to her car and off to the hospital they went. The doctor’s diagnostic was that Dolly simply suffered from starvation. Under the care of her foster family, Dolly regained her hearth and received proper training. But being a dog with black color coat has hardly any chance to be adopted by local people. Hopefully Dolly can start her new life aboard. Bobby, neutered male, 13-months old, 42-lbs If you would like to give BOBBY a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bobby is a lively, playful, and happy pup when around his human pack. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Bobby adapted and thrived quickly in foster care. He is potty trained and crate trained to sleep overnight. His favorite pastime is his daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. Bobby is calm and docile compared to young pups his age. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a companion pet. About Bobby’s rescue: Bobby was deserted at the park, he was around six months old at the time. Volunteer posted his story on social media asking for help, but didn’t get any response. He was friendly to the park visitors and sometimes played with their dogs. During the time the volunteer was looking for foster opportunity for him. Before an organized fair held at the park, Bobby was picked up by the local shelter. Fortunately, the volunteer landed a foster family for Bobby and got him out of the shelter shortly. Bobby got out of the shell and became his old and friendly self soon afterwards. Story
Bart, neutered male, 2Year 4months old, 28 Lbs. If you would like to give BART a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application Bart is one of the best dogs we have fostered. He has a striking appearance and a relatively smaller build. He is docile, calm, but can also be lively and playful; he loves belly rubs and hugs when around familiar faces. He is super mellow and well behaved by nature. He likes food and toys, and is willing to share with others. Bart rides well in the car and enjoys resting near his humans quietly. He can easily befriend strangers and is very gentle with kids. Bart also gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is potty trained and crate trained. His favorite pastime is the daily walks and hanging out with play pals in the park. He would be a great candidate for family looking for a loyal companion pet as well as a superb hiking partner. Bart’s rescue story: In central western Taiwan, near an industrial park, Bart and his seven other siblings were wandering about. There were no food and water in sight, except the occasional feeding by volunteers. With highway and storm drainage ditch nearby, it was a precarious environment for these young pups. When the rescuer saw the posting for help by volunteer, she responded immediately. Archie, neutered male, 8-months old, 30-lbs If you would like to give ARCHIE a forever home, please contact abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application About Archie: Archie has a mild temperament, easy-going, SUPER smart and follows directions. He is friendly, lively, and close to people; he would greet everyone with a sweet smile and non-stop wagging tail. His favorite pastime is taking daily walks and hanging out with doggie friends in the park. He is crate and potty trained to sleep overnight; with no barking nor chewing issues when left alone. Archie can fit into any type of family quickly, also can be a great candidate for family looking for sibling to the existing dog. Archie is patiently waiting for her forever home! Please watch his videos and notes from the foster parents to know him better. Notes from Archie's foster parents: Archie is a very happy boy! He is full of energy but also knows when to calm down. He is very good on the leash, does not pull and pays attention to the person walking him. He is interested in other dogs during walks but knows playtime is only in the park. Archie is very kind to all animals and people, including children. Archie knows many commands and is being trained in English. He currently knows the commands; - sit - down - roll over - turn around - up and off (of objects or furniture) - loose (to let go of toys or unwanted objects) - Crate (from a distance he will enter his crate) Archie is a funny boy with a goofy personality which brings us as fosters a lot of joy in our home. He knows when it is time to calm down and will find his crate or place. He loves belly rubs and attention. He is very playful with us but also on his own, he loves his toys but does not destroy them. About Archie’s rescue: While tending the feeding site in the suburb, the volunteer found two puppies, about two months old at that time, apparently deserted by their owner. When the pups approached her with helpless pleading eyes, the volunteer could not turn her back on them but to pick them up and arranged a foster family for their care soon afterwards.
