Story
I acquired Lucky in a grocery store parking lot, where a woman was selling him and his siblings. The moment I saw him, he stood out to me. He is now nine months old and has grown into such a special little companion. Lucky is playful, affectionate, loyal, intelligent, energetic, and incredibly curious. He loves exploring his surroundings, playing with toys, and being around people. He has a goofy, sweet personality and always finds a way to make everyone laugh. He’s also very cuddly and enjoys relaxing next to you after a long day and loves treats. In a new home, I’m looking for someone who can give Lucky lots of love, attention, and patience. He would do best with a family or individual who has time to play with him, continue his training, and provide a stable, caring environment. He deserves a home where he can feel safe, loved, and truly part of the family.

Story
#A5761282 Meet Bear , a 5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with the look of a mini Newfoundland and a heart just as big. This handsome boy has a long, shaggy, black coat that’s practically made for petting, and when he gets excited he lets his adorable pink tongue flop right out. Bear hasn’t had the easiest life - the fly strike on his ears suggests he spent most of his time outside, and he was ultimately surrendered because his owner said they had “no time.” But this sweet soul is ready for a fresh start as a beloved indoor-only pup, surrounded by comfort, kindness, and lots of TLC. A good bath and brush will help bring his fluffy coat back to life, but his loving personality is already shining through. Bear is a big, beautiful boy with an even bigger heart, and he’s ready to share it with the furever family who will finally give him the life he deserves. Will that be with you? -5 year old black and white Labrador Retriever mix boy -79 pound male - not clear if neutered, but the shelter can help you figure out how to get this done! -may need all the standard shots and preventatives before you can take him home, but the shelter can also likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/10/26 as an owner surrender, due to “no time” -big handsome boy that needs a bath and some TLC - ready to be an only indoors pup after a rough life outside   BEAR’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/AoGXTADfreg   For more information, contact volunteer Lor at  lor@unitedhopeforanimals.org ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. #A5684302 Meet Pebbles , a sweet 5-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix with a gorgeous honey-colored coat and animated ears that perk up with excitement!  Her soulful eyes and warm, sensitive heart make her a truly special girl. Pebbles is vivacious and loves playtime, especially chasing balls (but she's still working on bringing them back for a proper game of fetch!). She’s also incredibly cuddly and affectionate - belly rubs are definitely the way to her heart! Though she was described to be a bit defensive and wary of other dogs at the shelter, with our volunteers, she has shown to be non-reactive and calm with other pups in appropriate settings, with appropriate introductions. Good on a leash, knowledgeable of basic commands like sit, food motivated, and eager to learn, Pebbles is a perfect package deal.
