HI - I'M KONA! I'm a sweet & fun 2-year-old black lab-mix girl, possibly mixed with Border Collie. I have plenty of puppy energy so will do best with someone who can give me the love and exercise I need. I was rescued from a shelter, and per my previous owners I did not do well with cats, and didn't always do well meeting other dogs (I'm just a puppy after all!). I walk well on a leash, respond to corrections well, and am eager to listen when on a walk. I am also very treat motivated and would respond well to further training. I am also very affectionate and I love to play fetch. I would also do well with a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. I weigh about 65 lbs. Can you adopt me?

MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle lab/pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 5 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected, but now he looks so much better! He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. He's a big snuggler and will want to share your bed. He loves going for walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others, so would probably thrive as the only dog in the home. Howie currently needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

But in reality, I could be between 1-2 years old given my youthful exuberance and puppy tendencies. Despite my cuteness, I'm not for the faint of heart: I am 80 pounds, a ball of energy and a dog that could use a strong owner to help me learn basic commands. But if you choose me, I'll be loyal and loving for the rest of my days. I am still protective over my food, which probably stems from my background with a lousy owner. I was rescued from a California shelter in the nick of time - I was so unhappy there.
