Story
MAGGIE MAY DOB: 01.01.2021* 49.0 lbs (as of 08/05/2021) Maggie is Awesome! She is friendly, super sweet, extemely loving, wants to please, good with other dogs (NO CATS). She listens well and loves to get love. Tummy rubs are her favorite. She also gives great kisses. She hasn't quite got the 'ball' game down yet. She's happy to chase it, stand over it, look at you and smile as she runs back to you (without the ball) to get/give love. You would be hard pressed to find a better companion. Lots of energy to keep up with you, but happy to lay by your side a watch a movie (just don't forget her tummy rub!). She is house broken, crate trained, fully vaccinated spayed and microchipped. As with all Paw Printz dogs, we will provide free training, if any is needed in her new home, and we will take her back at any time if it doesn’t work out for any reason. If you think Maggie would be the perfect addition to your home, send an email to: PawPrintzRescue@gmail.com and request an application. Adoption Fee: $200 Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, Homecheck THIS DOG IS LOCATED NEAR FRESNO, CA *Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so!

PARKER (yellow/golden) DOB: 10.01.2022* This little boy wants to be the center of your world. He loves having your attention and will let you know if he’s not getting enough of it. Parker is very outgoing and has lots of personality. He’s the life of the party! He loves playing ball and chase. His little game is to bring the ball back close enough to be JUST out of your reach, then he plops down and starts chewing on the ball, all the while looking at you with spunk in his eyes, doggie giggling inside! He’s playful and good with other dogs. Parker would love to become the newest addition to your home/family. Vet has given Parker a clean bill of health & he's had his first set of puppy shots. *Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so! Hi everyone! Meet Mother Gothal, she is a lab/pit-bull mix that came into our care as an owner surrender. Mother Gothal has been returned three times, due to housing issues. Since her return, she has been very upset because she rather be at a home than here. Her ideal home would be a home where she is the only dog. She would also love a couch so she is able to be your cuddle buddy! If you are my furever home, come visit me at Valley Animal Center's dog adoption center. To get a head start on the adoption process, you can also fill out the online pre-adoption application! After you fill it out, a dog care associate will contact you shortly. Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a Labrador mix that came into our care from another local animal shelter. She is a very sweet nervous girl. Lucy at the moment is going to have to be a Foster to Adopt. Before she is able to get spayed and be available for adoption, we would want her to just lose a little bit a weight. Lucy loves to go on walks and is treat motivated. She would love to be a couch dog and be able to watch movies and series with someone. If you are my furever home, come visit me at Valley Animal Center's dog adoption center. To get a head start on the adoption process, you can also fill out the online pre-adoption application! After you fill it out, a dog care associate will contact you shortly. Giraffe or Labrador mix puppy? Look at those legs and you decide! Meet Finn! Finn is a sweet, rambunctious labrador mix puppy. Although at first glance he might not look like most Labs, his personality is bursting with classic lab traits. He loves to fetch and run around the yard with toys or chew on sticks he collects. Zoomies are one of Finn's favorite activities. He loves to zip around the yard at lightning speed. He plays and interacts beautifully with other dogs, both big and small. Finn loves to cuddle, especially if there are blankets involved! He loves to hoard blankets in his crate. That's right, this beautiful boy is already crate trained and house trained. He has not had a single accident while he has lived with his foster family! His personality and adaptability are incredible enough on their own, but more so when you consider his humble start. He came to LRRF from Bakersfield, where he was found dumped and starving with his mother. Through work, persistence and love, this little guy has come so far! He will be a dream dog for any family that decides to give him that fresh start in life that he so desperately needs and deserves. It takes time to get to know him as He can be fearful and slow to interact with new people. However, he is loving and playful with his foster parents and family members. The start of his story is a bit scary and dramatic. He was on his way to the stockade, by no fault of his own. When, just in time, a Good Samaritan swooped into the rescue like a helicopter. He was delivered to the safety and protection of the defenders of dogs, the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno. Hawkeye is now living in a foster home with two adult dogs.  He’s a bit too rough with the cat so he would do best in a home without a cat. He sleeps in his bed in the foster’s room at night. He has great house manners and does well in a crate.   He loves being outdoors and has learned to ring a bell at the door when he wants outside.   Hawkeye is slow to be comfortable with new people but playful with humans he knows and can play on his own with toys.  He has medium to high energy so he likes to stay busy between naps.  His current hobbies are, playing with his foster’s two dogs, running, exploring, and chewing sticks.  According to his foster Mom, he is sweet, smart, endlessly entertaining, happy, adventurous and athletic.  All puppies will be up to date on their age-appropriate vaccinations as well as being spayed, neutered and microchipped. Please remember that our goal is to find the best possible forever home for each and every dog so it is not a first come first serve situation. It is also important to add that a puppy can be up to a 15 year commitment and most labs have puppyish qualities for up to and sometimes beyond 2 years. An active family (children 6+) willing to take the time, patience, and commitment to work with a pup is important. Like all young Labs, training and regular exercise are essential to a happy, healthy pup. If you would like Hawkeye to be part of your family, please fill out an application  If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Meet Willow, a 7-year-old gentle soul with a heart of gold! Don't let her age fool you - this sweet girl is still young at heart and full of life. Willow is a dream companion: easy-going, lovable, calm, and playful. She adores: Playing fetch (and actually bringing the ball back!) Going for walks and car rides Playing with other dogs Chasing hose water (her absolute favorite game!) This well-behaved beauty loves to cuddle and will give you the best of both worlds - playtime and snuggles! Willow is housebroken, knows basic commands, and is a social girl. She'll alert you to visitors but don't worry, she's just excited to meet new friends! After being surrendered due to her previous owner's illness, Willow's world was turned upside down. But she's rediscovered her sparkle with time, patience, and love from her foster family and canine companions! Thanks to the gentle guidance and support of her foster family and furry friends, Willow has blossomed into a confident, playful, and affectionate companion. She's a social butterfly who thrives on canine camaraderie, and would love to join a family with other dogs to share in the fun! Willow does have some allergies, but a simple allergy pill keeps her scratching and itchy ears under control. Other than that, she's in perfect health! If you're looking for a loyal companion to share in your adventures, Willow is your perfect friend! This 6-month-old black Labrador mix puppy is bursting with energy, curiosity, and affection. Tommy is a sweet, rambunctious labrador mix puppy with a brave and inquisitive nature. He loves to play with all kinds of toys, but more than anything, Tommy loves to fetch. Tommy also loves to go on walks and has excellent leash manners. He would be amazing in just about any type of living arrangement, especially with energetic members who want to play with and exercise him. Although Tommy is still a puppy, he is already both crate trained and house trained. He sleeps comfortably all night in his crate and he has not had any accidents in the house for weeks. He responds well to training and would do well with any kind of obedience training his forever family might want for him. There are no felines in the foster home so we do not know about cats. Don't let photos fool you - Tommy's soulful eyes and adorable floppy ears will capture your heart in person! Never has a foster name been so well placed. Dash loves to run! This energetic sweetheart was abandoned in a grocery store parking lot, but Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno is giving him a second chance! Profile: - Energetic dog seeking active family - No cats, please - Suitable for older children (only because of his rambunctiousness) - Gets along with big and small dogs - Crate trained, doing much better on leash, sit and down Background: Dash was likely left alone in a backyard, leading to his escape. No surprise! Now, he's ready for a loving family to share his life! Features: - Loves running and playtime - Loves head scratches, is very affectionate and loves attention - Would love to be a lap dog ha ha - Loves to chase the ball, sometimes he even brings it back - Would benefit from a canine companion if the family works away from home. - Dash came into rescue with some scaring/hair loss around his snout area. The vet speculated that it may have been a burn, or rubbing against something. It does not bother Dash at all. Adoption: Interested in meeting Dash? Meet Milo! This handsome hunk is one of the sweetest dogs ever! Milo's story is heartwarming! From being a vulnerable puppy in an orchard to becoming a gentle and laid-back companion, his journey is truly inspiring. His foster home's testimony speaks volumes about his wonderful temperament and adaptability. Milo's backstory is heartbreaking. Being abandoned in an orchard with his siblings, and witnessing the loss of one of them, must have been a traumatic experience for him. It's a miracle he was rescued and given a second chance at life. From his foster: Generally, when a dog like Milo comes in to rescue with this sad backstory, we expect a lot of work will need to be done. However, this was not the case with Milo. Milo has been a relatively easy foster and blended in so well with his laid-back and relaxed nature. He loves playing with his foster siblings but I often find him lounging on my old spool table just taking it all in. He is an extremely gentle dog who plays well with puppies and dogs his age and has full respect for the older dogs in the home. Quite simply this boy is just a gem of a guy. Beau will be 2 years in July 2025. He is energetic and very friendly. He thinks he is a lap dog. We got Beau from a family that had puppies and we have had him since 10-12 weeks old. Beau has had formal training for walking on a leash and mat stays. He is crate trained as well. He still jumps at times. He is wonderful with my young son. We are just not home enough for Beau and want him to go to a good a home that has more time for him.

Story
Korra is a 2-year-old Pitbull/Pointer mix that was found pregnant abandoned in front of our shelter hours after we closed. Thankfully staff was there and managed to take her in, but an hour later, her six puppies were found in a box in front of the shelter. All six puppies have since left the shelter. Korra, on the other hand, is having a harder time. She has been with us since mid December and all this girl wants is a home. Korra is a softhearted dog; she is fond of people and enjoys spending quality time with them. She can co-exist with other large dogs amazingly, but doesn’t care to play. She isn’t high energy and would be perfect for someone who is wanting a laidback love bug.
