Oreo currently in a home with a beagle and German Sheperd mix (who we also got from the same shelter as Oreo, and were both on the same euthanasia list). Oreo loves any type of walk (short/long). He is very mellow, humble, well behaved, and listens to commands. He knows how to shake both paws and sits/goes to his crate when told so. Goes potty when told so. He avoids conflict. He is non-reactive towards other dogs when other dogs bark at him. He loves car rides. He loves his crate and likes to be alone or with people. He doesn't get separation anxiety. He is a perfect, healthy dog who needs his furever home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Friends, our beautiful 8-month-old puppy, Onyx, is in need of your help to find him a loving and supportive forever home. Despite being born with a front leg deformity that has resulted in a shorter right leg, Onyx is a joyful and spirited boy who can run and play just like any other puppy. While he may be a little slower than his peers and doesn’t require as much exercise, his loving nature more than makes up for it. Onyx has formed a wonderful bond with one of our other dogs, Osa, and we would be overjoyed if they could be adopted together. However, we understand that this may not always be feasible, and our primary goal is to ensure Onyx finds a wonderful home where he can thrive. After consulting with two veterinarians, we are relieved to share that they both concur Onyx can continue to flourish without the need for a leg amputation, allowing him to live a long, happy, and pain-free life. Onyx is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, making him ready for his new adventure. He adores short walks, enjoys the company of other friendly dogs, and absolutely loves trips to the beach, where he can explore and soak up the sun. If you reside in San Diego County or the surrounding areas and are interested in fostering to adopt or adopting Onyx, we invite you to complete our foster or adoption application at tlck9rescue.org. Let’s work together to give Onyx the loving home he deserves. Remember it's Hands and Paws Together Forever and with your help, we can find Onyx the family he has always wanted!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 12, 2024, 3:28 pm

Story
How Faith arrived: Faith was brought in by her previous owner on 12/19/24. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Faith! Faith is a spirited girl looking for her perfect match! She's recently moved into a foster home, and we can't wait to learn more about her as she settles in-stay tuned for updates!Faith is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of people and she's done well with canine friends in the past, though she might prefer a home without cats (she thinks they're just too interesting!).Faith has a quirky personality, especially when it comes to her love for tasting the world. In her previous home, she had a knack for sampling everything from tissues to tree berries on walks. Interestingly, since arriving in our care, she hasn't shown any of these tendencies during walks or in her kennel, which is a promising sign! Her ideal adopter will have a knack for providing lots of mental and physical enrichment to keep her busy and happy. Faith thrives in low-stress environments and will benefit from someone willing to follow through with her behavior consultation for extra support.Faith might do well with kids, as her first owner shared she was good with them, but we'll leave that to counselor discretion based on your home setup. If you're ready for a joyful and energetic companion who will keep you on your toes (and laughing), Faith could be your girl! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Faith is now ready for her new home! Excitable Dog: Please watch THIS VIDEO to learn more about dogs like Faith that have energy to spare. Primary Color: Gold Secondary Color: White Weight: 63.2 Age: 2yrs 10mths 1wks

Story
How this pet arrived:Harvey was brought in by his previous owner on 01/03/25. At SDHS:Harvey has been vaccinated, microchipped and is neutered. He is now ready for his new home! Why this pet is the one for you:This handsome fella is Harvey! Harvey would love a nice calm home to settle into and enjoy his days lounging around. In his previous homes, Harvey has shown that he would prefer to be the king of his own castle, which means his next home will need to be free of felines and canine free. Kids also tend to cause anxiety for Harvey, so an adult only home would be ideal for him. He is a friendly, affectionate boy that would love to spend his days laying next to you and enjoying the quiet! Our trainers would love to go over exactly what behaviors Harvey will need some work on when going into his new home. If this guy sounds like he would fit right in, stop by our Escondido Campus and ask about him today! Primary Color: Gold Weight: 85.6 Age: 9yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Sadie is a lab/shep mix of 4/5 years old and 50 pounds. She is house broken and crate trained Sadie is chock full of personality. She is goofy and playful and makes us laugh out loud several times a day. She craves having something to do and is always game for an adventure or learning tricks that may be practical, but may be just silly. (Like standing in a box or fetching our sneakers from 10 feet away.) She is graceful and fast, her zoomies being epic. Sadie's a great combination of energetic and chill and she’s a champion cuddler. no cats, Squirrels and other fast-moving creatures We’ve been working with a positive reinforcement trainer on learning how to behave more like a lady once in public spaces. She loves life and her tail hardly stops wagging. You’ll always get a very warm and affectionate welcome home whether you returned from a vacation or from the store. Sadie would love space to run and/or an active person who can take her on adventures. And of course, cuddle with her. She need a home with a big yard Sadie is being re-homed because we are in our mid-70's and she needs and deserves more activity than we are able to give her. We love her dearly but know in our hearts that she’d be better off with someone younger and healthier.please go to www.k9connectionpetadoption.org and fill out t the adoption application for her

Courtesy post for All Star Fur Pet Foundation. Please be sure to contact barbarafdoyle@gmail.com for more information. Please do not contact Dogz In Need as we have limited information on sweet Golden. He is currently being fostered in Ramona, CA Meet Golden, a young canine companion with a heart as bright as his name. He was rescued after being in the Lancaster shelter over 400 days. The fact that they did not euthanize him after all that time is a testament to his great personality - the volunteers loved him and were able to get All Star Fur Pet Foundation to pull him. He is now in boarding/foster care in Ramona, CA. Golden's personality is a delightful blend of friendliness and sweetness, making him the perfect family pet. Golden is always ready for a game of fetch, playing with his canine budddies in boarding, or a cuddle session on the couch. He enjoys outings and the thrill of exploring new environments. Golden is obedient and well behaved, and excitedly jumps up to greet you. His playful spirit and loving nature are contagious, and he's sure to bring joy and laughter into any home. Give Golden the chance he deserves, and he will prove to be the golden treasure of your family. Story
Mackenzie is a sweet, gentle and loving dog. She is good with all humans and dogs. She is great on the leash and she howls with excitement when she knows a walk is coming 💗 Although we absolutely love Mackenzie and will miss her dearly, it would be best for her to be in a home without children or with an older adult who has some extra time on their hands so she gets the attention and routine she deserves. She has some anxiety and needs routine and a mild antidepressant to help her thrive. Her anxiety manifests in hiding anywhere she can to feel safe. She prefers to be in small, secure and enclosed spaces such as a crate in a bathroom or laundry room when she gets stressed. Like most dogs, she is triggered by fireworks and any loud thunder type sounds. She is also sensitive to beeping from television shows that are censoring foul language. For her safety, she needs a home with a secure yard or large property where she can roam free and come home after some exploring.

Story
Buddy is a loyal, sweet, charming dog with a witty personality that shines through in the funniest ways like pretending not to listen but slighly watching conversations with curious eyes. He’s incredibly smart and listens well, knowing commands, like sit, down, leave it, no. Buddy loves his toys and gets excited when playing fetch, while carrying his ball around after retrieving it. While he does well on a leash, he might tug a bit, but that’s likely because he’s been adjusting to apartment living after having a large yard to roam. He’s currently working on his leash manners and would thrive with more outdoor time to burn off energy. Buddy is dog-selective and does best with slow, careful instructions to other dogs, so dog parks aren’t ideal for him. However, once he feels comfortable, he can get along well with the right canine companion. Buddy’s loyalty, intelligence and playful charm makes him an amazing dog for the right family ready to give him the love and structure he deserves.

Cooper Attention Ladies! Your perfect gentleman awaits... Cooper is the ideal companion for a lovely lady as he is a true gentleman; very polite, easy going and extremely grateful as he is very appreciative when you spend time with him. (Plus he loves to hug and kiss🥰). This handsome 2 year old golden retriever and labrador mix loves women more than anything and can be protective when/if necessary. He travels beautifully in the car, is house broken and crate trained. Cooper has been vetted, neutered and is up-to-date on vaccines and weighs 47 lbs. Since he's such a ladies man, he'd prefer to be in a home of a woman/women. A yard would be great but not imperative as he loves going for walks and playing fetch. Whoever said nice guys finish last obviously never met Cooper. 😊 Please go to www.k9connectionpetadoption.org and fill out the adoption application for him.
